Aloft Portland Airport Hotel At Cascade Station

Location at airport accommodated an early departure, with free shuttle service to and from the airport. Very convenient to park your car here (for a reasonable fee) while away from home. Nice modern vibe. Basic room design but super comfortable beds. Extremely helpful staff (direct assist with our grandson's tablet connection to wifi, and shuttle drivers). Good value.

Caution about the airport shuttle. I was told it’s on demand and 15 minutes waiting. But I had to wait more than 35 pmin. When I went down to the lobby at 4:15, for departure, I was told the shuttle has just left, and it’ll come back in 15 min or so. But there was no sign the shuttle came back from PDX after 4:30, so the guy at the front (he was very nice) made a call to the shuttle driver that one customer is waiting. When the shuttle arrived, the driver, she said I’ll not leave until 4:45. After that, the flight companies’ staff came down and finally we left the hotel after4:50. And arrived PDX 4:58. I left early because I wanted to look around the PDX, but there was no time for that. It’s really American. So better to see more time for the shuttle transportation.

honestly, it was awesome; so to nit pick, there were no “ice” signs, had to wander, lol. so. that is the tiniest, thing. everything was great!

The location, near shopping, is great. The parking lot robot was fun.

The entire experience, start to finish was terrible. They charged for parking. Probably to pay for the parking robot. The check in host was “friendly” but really not helpful. She said we hadn’t paid for breakfast and said, “many people make that mistake when booking”. I looked back at my reservation, confirmed we had paid for breakfast and she had to call her manager to get an ok. No apology. And then- came down for breakfast and their cook didn’t show up. They pointed to the IHOP next door and said to contact Booking.com to get a $30 refund for the breakfast they couldn’t provide. Terrible weird expensive hotel. They are trying a new model for guests, trying to be innovative and trendy, but in doing so, failed to be hospitable and comfortable.

Great location with stores and restaurants across the street. Safe and quiet location as well.

I wish the bathroom in the room had a little more lighting than what it had. just seemed a little dim but other than that is was great!

Pay to park makes no sense

Location was better than most other PDX hotels. Good proximity to MAX, restaurants and shopping. Room was a good size. Interesting concept with full bar and live entertainment in the lobby.

Both staff and lobby/lounge were very stark and unwelcoming. Modern, utilitarian design that felt more like a dormitory. Bathroom very small. No info about any available facilities in the room or provided when given my key. One of the oddest hotel stays I've possibly ever had. I do believe the concept was well intentioned but I found it to be poorly executed.

Close to freeway, shopping and restaurants. Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable.

Micro and coffee pot not useful in the area located. Clothes hang over the micro; not enough room to use the coffee pot comfortably. Layout of micro and coffee need to be changed for functionality. Did not think the minimalist vibe of room was worth price

I liked that there was a lounge in lobby with light dinner options. I loved the set-up of the room; I used the desk to do some work. The location was excellent for my trip; to was close to airport and within walking distance of many shopping and dining options.

I wish the price was not as expensive as it was.
