Baymont by Wyndham Las Vegas South Strip

Location was great.

So many problems with this hotel. They were unable to give me the actual room that I booked. Apparently, their elevator has been out of service for a long time. My room was upstairs. Problem with that is my partner is disabled and in a wheelchair which is why I reserved an ADA roll-in. At first, I was told they were completely booked and had nothing for us. I just drove 13 hours to get here. I cried at the thought of having to find something else, and was confused as to why the hotel never relayed this elevator issue, knowing I booked a wheelchair room. But then miraculously, they said they do have something on the 1st floor. I took it due to having no where else to go. It was a downgrade for sure. It also had no shower bench/chair, mold in the shower, some type of critter has been chewing the mattress under the bed, there was a soft spot on the shower floor like it had been patched up - this made the showering experience very scary and my partner didn't feel safe. I brought it to their attention that one of the guests had parked in such a way that we could not use the wheelchair ramp. I was told there was nothing they could do. That goes against federal ADA laws. In the morning when checking out, I asked for at least a discount. I paid for a certain room and got a lesser room, not to mention all the other things that came up. The lady was rude, wouldn't let me get a word in, then raised her voice telling me "ma'am, you need to stop yelling at me" loud enough so that everyone in the lobby heard. I never yelled at her, but now everyone in the lobby was paying attention so without resolution, we left. I will never stay with any of their properties again.

I can't really say anything I liked about this hotel. So scary and my family was terrified when we walked into our room.

There was blood stains on the floor. We have pictures and proof of this. The pillows had ear wax all over them. It was very disturbing for us and my family. We ended up leaving right away because we felt the hotel was unsafe for my family. I was not happy.

I like that the property is in a good area close to shops and restaurants .

I didn’t like that The shower wasn’t cleaned properly and also that the pool area looked a rundown and way too hot .

The nice breakfast was the only saving grace. Fresh fruit, danish and muffins, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, coffee, and toast.

Online photos are misleading and the whole place looks faded, tired, and worn. Our room had a funny off smell and the TV was old and took a while to turn on and show a picture without red lines running through the picture. Lots of tape over flooring to carpet transitions in the place including our room. The trash can outside the north access door was overflowing and should be moved.

Staffs are friendly.

The carpets are worn out. Housekeeping every other day doesn't work for me. They reuse the sheets.

The location was good.

Not enough staff, house keeping is by request, same breakfast everyday and always runs out of food. One night, a housekeeping knocked and opened the door at midnight! What the heck was that?!? I requested our room to be cleaned and front desk said it was on the list but that day the room wasnt cleaned. The room rate is not worth the stay in this place.

Close proximity to the outlets. Close to the strip. Free parking.

Didn't smell as much in the room, but couldn't hang out in the lobby or anywhere outside of the room. The room appeared clean, but needs to be updated, so didn't trust walking on the carpet with bare feet or taking a shower since the bathtub faucet dripped, the toilet paper holder was missing a bracket, the towels were very thin.

It's close to the airport and not far from the strip and many food establishments offering a variety of cuisine. The property has ample free parking and is relatively easy to find. The receptionist on shift when we arrived was very friendly.

Pretty much everything else was awful. The room was dingey, smelled a bit odd, seriously outdated and there were various stains throughout. The fridge and Aircon unit (which was sat on the floor) was noisy and you could hear EVERYTHING going on around you in the other rooms/corridor, especially upstairs. Only 3 pillows were provided initially in the room, I requested another and it never came, even after being assured by reception that it would be sorted asap numerous times without prompting. The TV didn't work properly and it was very confusing to make it work. The menu indicated that popular streaming apps were available yet you cannot select them. The bathroom was bland and the shower fitting leaked (I had to tighten it the best I could myself, which wasn't ideal, as I have limited mobility). The tap on the sink sprayed more water outside the sink than into the sink. The 'heated' pool lights did not work and it was absolutely freezing and the 'pool towel' was no bigger than a hand towel so I gave up after dipping my toes in and went back to my room. Breakfast was chaotic in the morning, not enough space and not enough of everything being offered at peak time as well as lots of rude guests being impatient and forcing their way around. Staff did not communicate with anyone, not even a smile or an indication as to when items would be replenished. The plates were polystyrene and the cutlery and cups were single use plastic. I honestly believe that this property has the potential to be renovated and some life put back into it but it would have to be closed for a while before that could happen. Disappointed is an understatement and I feel like I paid way too much!
