Breakfast was good
I have stayed at this motel before and they had been accommodating. However, this time they fell short, I was not allowed to have extended stay, my account was not credited reward points and the breakfast was shut down at 9am.

Top Tips
- Book your Twentynine Palms hotel 3 to 6 months in advance for peak season weekends (October to May) to avoid sold-out motels and price increases. Most midscale and major hotel chains offer advance rate discounts or allow point redemptions when booking early; free cancellation or flexible rates may be limited during event weekends. International guests should confirm accepted card types or if prepayment is required for busy periods.
- For summer visits (June to August), confirm your room has working air conditioning, as daytime highs can reach 95 to 110°F (35 to 43°C). Many major hotels list air conditioning as a standard amenity, but verify with the property, especially at older sites, and check that in-room climate controls are accessible if needed.
- Flying into Palm Springs (PSP) offers the fastest transfer to Twentynine Palms, about a 1 to 1.5 hour drive (55 to 70 miles). Some major hotel brands near PSP provide shuttle service or bundled car rentals, and downloading offline maps is recommended since mobile coverage can be limited in high desert corridors.
- Stock up on groceries and fuel in central Twentynine Palms (Adobe Road / Cactus Drive corridor) when you arrive, as options thin outside typical hours. Several hotel brands by Adobe Road offer 24/7 mini-marts or vending for late arrivals; guests with dietary needs should research options, as some properties provide in-room microwaves or can store perishables.
- Most Twentynine Palms hotels are 5 to 20 minutes (approximately 3 to 10 miles) from Joshua Tree National Park’s Oasis Visitor Center, saving drive time compared to staying in Joshua Tree village. Some properties offer hotel shuttles and early breakfast or coffee for sunrise park visits.
- Before booking, check the MCAGCC (Marine Base) event calendar, as exercises or graduations sharply increase hotel demand and may require booking 4 to 8 weeks ahead. Rates and availability at hotels as well as local restaurants and amenities can be affected during events; reserve dining and activity times in advance, and inquire about group rates or blocks at chain hotels if attending MCAGCC exercises.
