Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is great, less than 2 minutes walk from Kamakura Station. The ambiance of the hotel lobby at Level 2 makes you feel so peaceful and comfortable. The room that we got had a cozy environment and was good enough for 3 of us in a family. The breakfast at MUJI Restaurant is excellent. Will definitely stay at this hotel for my future visit to Kamakura.

The property was clean and réal lu good quality. They provided us an early check in as the room was ready. The staff was very nice and amenities in the room were top quality. I recommend this hotel.

wish i stayed here longer. you know that thing where you stay somewhere that is nicer than your actual home? this room was like that (and my flat looks amazing). I loved wooden finishes with different textures, it was so thought out and luxe. like one wall had little cubes cut into it and that section opened up to reveal a mirror. at night a big wooden door slid across to make the end of the very long room more cosy which was nice as it was winterthe bathroom was so luxef

-the Muji cafe is so hit and miss. had breakfast twice, it just needs to freshen up

We never stayed at a Hotel Metropolitan before, so we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay.First, the hotel is conveniently located to the train station, visitor attractions, and restaurants and stores galore. There's even a Family Mart across the street from the hotel.The room we stayed in was recently renovated and it was beautiful and huge with a separate sitting area. The neutral colors seemed to result in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere in contrast to the bustling city below us.The lobby was festively decorated with sparkling Christmas trees and snow globes. It was a comfortable area to sit after a busy day.We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Muji. I especially liked the miso-based soup with veggies as the December mornings were quite chilly.The Muji store was an unexpected treat!

The hotel is located in a great area. Very close to the subway station which was very convenient. The hotel and room were very clean. The staff were frienndly and helpful.

The room is smaller from what I am used to but I understand that this is what is normal for Japan.

Location was excellent. Walking distance to lots of eating places and the train station. Hotel and room were very clean and the desk clerks were very friendly.

-The staff were wonderful, we checked in late around 10 pm, very quick and easy. - Very convenient location! super close to the station, a beautiful walk up to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. About 15-20 minute walk to the beach. Lots of shops nearby and a Family Mart and 711 around the corner. - Clean! Staff kept our room replenished too. We loved having some amenities in the bathroom, like cooling pads for our feet after walking all day. - Very quiet. We had no issues with sound disturbance. There was a notice of construction being done in the hotel, but we didn't hear much at all (and the construction was only being done during the day). We had no issues sleeping. - The lobby smells good! - We didn't eat at the cafe, so I can't comment on the food there.

The location is perfection in Kamakura. One block from the train station and in the heart of everything.

The entry to the room is a bit tight because the closet is directly as you walk into the room. It was a little tricky to get suitcases inside with ease. The room was comfortable but tight. Breakfast is an add-on but was worth the cost.

Modern, new, clean, comfortable, nice amenities, wonderful shower, courteous and helpful staff, location very close to train station and plenty of restaurants. Room, bathrooms, and facilities all in great shape, quiet elevators and room doors. They helped us with luggage forwarding. Buffet breakfast at the Muji cafe was very good with lots of choices. We will definitely stay again when visiting Kamakura.

The unique room design was very elegant, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff were also extremely polite and professional.

Location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station and shopping. Enjoyed the restaurants in the area and were able to explore many of the sites by foot. Hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable.

It was a little noisy as our room neighbored an alley but other than that, everything was perfect.

Breakfast was good. Room with step up area was a surprise and well liked. I could do laundry after 4 days in Japan with the coin operated washing machine and dryer.

Beautifully decorated, spacious room, comfortable bed, good and plentiful bathroom amenities.
