- Stay away from this TOURIST TRAP.
- Tremendous job at this facility in all facets. Room was fine, located a quarter mile from the lake?s edge, and home cooking on site. Outstanding!
- Remote location was great! There aren't many options out there and this hotel was comfortable and clean. Portions at the cafe were huge and delicious! The homemade bread is truly good. The room was large and clean. Fantastic internet speed.
Cons -
- Locked out in the cold when we arrived at 7:30 PM. No staff. No front desk. No way to check in & get a room key. No answer when I called, and no return call to my phone message. Yet they managed to charge my card after forcing us to sleep in the car.
- My Verizon cell service was non-existent but the internet was fast.

My Verizon cell service was non-existent but the internet was fast.
Pleasantly surprised by how cozy and clean the room was. Check-in was super easy. We had booked ahead of time, but would be just as easy for someone to just drop in and stay, even if arriving late at night. We had breakfast on site and it was incredible.
Nope!
Clean, Blinds that keep the light out, Mosquitoes cannot penetrate into the room, friendly staff, great location.
Jack¿s Place and Double G Service are real special. This was probably our favorite overnight stay on the Alaska Highway. Breakfast was amazing, too!
Great location and charming coziness especially for a weary traveller. Had an engine heater plug-in. Worked with us for a late arrival! Very good pricing/value and nice breakfast.
Rustic feel, delicious breakfast, entertaining host. Beautifully located near Muncho lake.
Limited internet, but enough to do simple tasks like booking the next night.
The staff made me so uncomfortable I had to leave. I was shouted at in a small room by the staff for trying to confirm my reservation details. 3 angry men and me a solo female traveler in a place with no phone signal and only satellite wifi. Never again.
The host is a real character and made our stay even better than it could have been with his conversation and sense of humour. The steak supper was second to none - the best we have had in a long time! The room was clean, quiet and the bed was most comfy
It was convenient to my travel route.
The staff was brusque to the point that I was uncomfortable enough not to ask how to turn up the heat in my room. I felt I would be made to ferl like an idiot.
Location of the hotel is very close to Muncho Lake. There is a table with benches outside next to the hotel where visitors can have their own meal. We didn't have any problems with parking our car. The hotel offers low price compare with other hotels.
I stayed at this hotel with my friend two nights on Canada Day holidays. These two nights I got fitful sleep because both nights other visitors were coming in the midnight and making noise like banging car doors, talking loudly, taking shower and so on...
It's a rustic Motel on the AlCan. While it is a very simple place, the location near Muncho Lake is excellent. There is a large variety of wildlife including Dahl Sheep nearby. The best thing about this place is the price.
The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
The restaurant was just about the best ever.

Everything from the cozy, clean room to the friendly owners who made you feel at home and the great home-cooked food in the cafe, including giant cinnamon rolls and French toast, made our stay outstanding.
This place was better than expected. It is an older log cabin motel and it was very clean! It has a lot of character and the food in the restaurant was homemade and tasty, especially the breakfast! I made an error in my reservation and they were very kind to accommodate us.
room was clean and spacious
staff was very unwelcoming and rude (owners?), no coffee in room and none in the "lobby" unless you purchased a cup for $3.25! very spartan room, no shampoo, lotion, conditioner, etc.
bed and pillows were wonderful. Cute little cabin. The restaurant was OK, Northern lights watching out front door was totally incredible !!
Room was quite cold and hard to warm up with small space heater provided.Gal at reception/restaurant could have at least smiled or acted like she cared.
Close to Highway.
Says it’s dog friendly, but once there found a list of “the rules” with fines if violated. So did not feel that it was really dog friendly and“no cat”
