Location of the hotel to the workshop.
I stayed in the Mt. Gardner room and loved sitting in the chair by the window that had a view of the mountains sipping on the delicious Earl Gray tea with fresh cream. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom has an amazing rain shower.
Beautiful view of the Pacific in a quiet, tranquil space at night. Loved the artisan square with the cafe that had excellent food.

Cons -

Restaurants and stores close before 9:00am and after 4:00pm. Closed Mon/Tues. By the time the workshop ended each day, all eateries were closed. Walking on the Island is problematic given the steep inclines. Cars dominate the area, which is unfortunate.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
May need to offer mattress topper :)
