The Grand Tappattoo Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

We have been several times and we like it for the quiet country. the restaurant is wonderful looking over the lake and the food is very very good.

I had called the week before to find out if anything was going on and to see if the pool was open. I love doing laps. They said the pool would be open but they closed it for 10-15 days the day we arrived.

I needed a place to sleep on a long car trip.

It was a bit off the highway with a windy road but not too bad.

Clean, very good facilities, indoor pool etc

cozy place, very friendly staff, loved the gas fireplace, used the indoor pool and ate at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was very good and kid friendly

View was nice

Walls very thin and could hear everything. Asked for an extra pillow as only 1 each and told hotel full none left

Great location on the lake with a private beach.

We had a person on a wheelchair and they didn’t offer us accessible room. We had to climb 8 stairs to our room. However I called before and asked for that.

Check in from 3 pm, but when we came administrator told that our room is not ready and we have to wait. We waited till 5:30 to check in without any explanation or apology, I was disappointed.

It was clean, fun, friendly staff and lots to offer

The bathrooms def need updated and some seats on pool need replaced, bottom of them were all rusted and broken

My friends and I had a fantastic mini getaway at the Grand Tappattoo Resort, the room was comfortable, the views were spectacular. We were pleasantly surprised of all the amenities this resort had to offer that was included in the price, for example a hot breakfast, indoor pool, sauna, workout room, lovely sandy beach with paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and floating trampoline and dock to use, firepits, BBQ's, trails and a beautiful restaurant right on the water. We enjoyed a delicious pan fried pickerel while watching the sunset over the lake, then wandered down to the beach to lay in the lounge chairs to star gaze and watch shooting stars. Otter Lake is large with several narrow channels and bays perfect for paddling! The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is only 8 minutes from Parry Sound. We highly recommend this resort and are planning our next visit there!

One of the best breakfasts I've had - nice variety to choose from & quality (temperature, doneness) was great. The location is a treat - quiet views of the lake surrounded with trees in full autumn colours. Warm enough outside to enjoy time on the balcony.

The e location. Best place I e ever woken up in and had breakfast at - and the breakfast the breakfast is absolutely top notch. Close to many places in a beautiful part of Ontario

Bit dates - but hey, the location and all else trumped all of that. It was perfectly comfortable, warm, quiet.

And I saw a trash bag with a dust pan on the table. Meaning the housekeeper wasnt done with their cleaning. Hooks were off in the bathroom, place was dirty. Sheets had stains too. My parents werent happy

Location by the lake was fabulous. We had a balcony & large beds. Good breakfast.

Tired elements to the cabin, bathroom, dirty windows. A noisy water system, endless rushing water.

Nice property with nice beach and canoes and kayaks available free of charge.

They have an outside patio that has several areas that the bricks have caved in. It’s very dangerous to walk on.

I like location, the lake is nice and beach is well maintained. There were several kayals that guests could use. The breakfast waas good and dinner at the restaurant was excellent.

location was great. Quiet bay with beach perfect for grand kids..fishing nearbye and all the water toys are great.

Food and amenities are great. Service was excellent. A request for a fix in the room was attended to and completed in 15 min. Staff were friendly

Attention to washroom taps and tub jets needed, but when brought to staff attention they took note to have it taken care of. Just general maintenance and repair - but we could see the upgrades since last year's visit!
