Marina Hotel - Isle of Wight

Rooms in sales We are tired back from job and getting bad news We are cancelled Did you check your emails???I am said, I am tired and come to rest in hotel because we are working in this Iceland Booking com let us buy in other apartment in same hotel Against take a payment and no hotel So we are confused what’s happened

An improvement in the hotel as this was our second time there. The rooms have been renovated and the digital entry to the hotel n rooms is hassle free.

We had to ask for the fan although it was listed in facilities. Still there is room for improvement in renovation like new cupboards or drawers needed.

Location was fantastic. Staff ( one lady was lovely)

People’s doors wide open, such a state people on their beds drink, god knows what drugs they’ve taken Half way house … wasn’t pleasant.People trying our room doors constantly

The location was not as stated. I have tried contacting the hotel and booking.com to no avail as I had paid for this but to my surprise when I set my sat navigation it was nowhere near the location as was advertised

The view and the size of the room. Easy self check in. Good general store 4min Walk. Beach right outside the door.

The location was nice

There was no parking, even though online it say there is. So we had to find parking which is not free around the area. The room was not clean at all, cob webbs in main room and bath. Marks and dirty in both rooms, dirty towel in one of the draws. One of the manager/owners kids were outside our room in the yard. Really noisy, and one of the kids kicked a football at our window, and then laughed about it. The bed was the hardest thing I have ever tried to sleep on.

We love the beach bar down stairs so friendly & lovely shout out to the young barmaid she was so welcoming didn’t have to wait for drinks we’re be back but not to stay in rooms

Well it was dirty the beds were so uncomfortable springs sticking through,kettle was disgustingly dirty smelt,the bed frame had blood stains round it,shower was grimy,I’ve never complained about anything the cup for a drink had thick brown stains round the inside of cup

Had a good size front room with sea view and even a microwave

There was sometimes a lack of hot water from the bathroom sink tap for filling a hot water bottle.

Location and outdoor dining

The beds had stains on the sheets and the bathroom was disgusting

Great location and the instructions sent were clear

We had a double room but only 1 coffee cup. The shower head needs replacing

There are food stalls attached to the site the food and prices were reasonable.

Room wasn’t cleaned, bin hadn’t been emptied,sink toilet or shower not cleaned,although I complained nothing was done, I had to go out and buy cleaning products and do it myself.

Bad

Cancelled my booking and kept the Money.told me to get a refund through booking.com. Booking.com said that the hotel should refund not them. Either way someone has kept my money and I am out of pocket.

Booked via booking.com. Marina staff was happy to help us to change our date. But booking. com customer service wasn't good to solve a problem that I have faced.

I book this hotel I’m on my way to sandown and they send me email your booking cancel I’m not happy with that then I book last time others one and it’s cost me very high but I have no others choice I pay

It was a total disappointment

The pictures in your website is totally inaccurate. The room is filthy specially the bathroom. The place seems dangerous for kids and not advisable for families at all. TV is not working and broken frame for display is still hanging. There is no lock for the main hallway of the hotel. I’m not even sure if it’s legal to keep that place open. Please remove it in Booking.com because it ruins your credibility of offering good accommodation.

When the bar/Street food bars were open the service was excellent and the location was excellent right on Sandown sea front

It needed to be updated as the floor boards to get to the room felt like you could go through them.The kettle was lime scale in side it and the staff were out side making some noise instead of working and on Monday night they were outside until gone 11. With bbq for them and not for the public. When the street food bars were closed all day Sunday and Monday.
