Hotel Route Inn Katori Sawara Ekimae

Wonderful experience! Nothing comparable in the US at this budget. Super clean, fresh interior, room big enough, very nice personnel. Even breakfast is really good with a large variety. True hidden gem close to Narita Airport in historic town.

Location was great. Near the train station but walkable to sites we wanted to see.

1. very close to the train station. and 10 min walk to the river. 2. buffet breakfast is very good. lobby has a free coffee machine and coffee is good3. we have 2 double beds so room and bathroom are good size. and we face the parking so quiet. like the public bath at ground floor 4. can leave luggage before check in and after check out. Strict with check in time from 15:00. staff are niceoverall we had a very good stay the this hotel

if check in can be more flexible as our flight arrived at 6am and we got to the hotel at 9am. even at 14:30 we still needed to wait til 15:00.

Being so close to the train station was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious and gave us a great start to each day. The room was very clean and comfortable. We aLSL enjoyed being able to explore the town and find interesting points of interest so close-by.

Quite a big hotel, but very friendly and well managed.Good size room with comfortable beds and large bathroom.Free car park is a bonus.Very pleasant and helpful staff.Breakfast is included, with a good variety of items.There is a also a public bath.Good choice in the area

It’s a small double bed for two big people- otherwise great

1. Location is convenient, - nice first-stop after flying in Narita Airport (~ 30min drive) - next to the train station with a large on-site parking for drivers - nearby a 7-Eleven with laundry, and a Mega Donquijote up north - nearby attractions include the Katori Jingu Shrine, Naritasan Omotesando 2. Close to the River Ono, short drive to Asouya Unagi Honten if you drive.3. Coffee is provided (check the hours)4. Clean, comfy room with a sofa, tv and fridge. 5. Nice and warm.

1. Room is small, barely enough space to open two large luggage2. Can get noisy as it is next to the train tracks 3. Rather basic, but worth the low-cost charged.

A bit far from the restaurant and Ohno River. We got a room on the ground floor. So it was not nice.

Wonderful stay, easy check in experience with kind staff. Hotel is well prepared for english-speakers coming in from the train, location is right by then Sawara train station exit and instructions/directions throughout the building were also available in English. Wonderful onsen tub and breakfast.

Close to station. Loved the Onsen. A nice business hotel for mainly Japanese guests. Walking distance to this cute town relatively close to Narita Airport.

If u hv the large n heavy luggages and u need to back to Tokyo by bus , it is very difficult to walk to bus stop although the way not too far.

A good Business Hotel. Right next to the station. Really appreciated that the staff members all seemed sincere and smiley and dedicated to offering good customer service. Everything was clean. Good communal bath. Affordable price!

The room was very comfortable, and the public bath was cosy and relaxing. The hotel was also very "english-friendly"

It was a very nice and clean hotel that felt comfortable and welcoming.

If your goal is to be around the city, like tokyo or shibuya, it's a bit out of the way.

They provide good breakfast and have lots of parking. We arrived late and they parking lots were full. They directed us to another car park just 2mins walk from hotel.

When we went for dinner at the hotel. Despite most tables were empty we were told that they were fully booked. Anyway we managed to secure a place. Dinner was so so only

Bathroom was super clean and really well equipped!We loved this stay so much!

Route-Inn Katori Sawara Hotel is immediately and conveniently beside JR Sawara station. Historic area is nearby as is the overpass to $10/hr entertainment center (bowling, pool and ping pong tables, arcade, etc.)Hotel reception staff very friendly, helpful, & polite. 3 of 4 times, I was the only person in hotel's sento!Clean, newish, smoke-free & windows actually opened for airflow.Air-conditioning & dehumidifier came in very handy (October).Nice firm beds, unique pillows, smooth one side w palpable neck support.Room window was above, though train-line side, fairly soundproof w window closed. Unobstructed morning sunrises, a beautiful surprise.Cardinal sento includes countryside bus & 25 minute walk during which you'll pass a park, stop to check out incredible rock foot massage path, worth the excursion!Japanese style breakfast (primarily Japanese tourists).

Marketing, like many in Japan, is understated.Typical bathroom Japanese design elements ie,. Toilet in another room, is perhaps unique to the Japanese tourist; however, my preference is to keep toilet in a separate space. Noticeable how many times a separated toilet room would have come in handy!
