    • The architecture
    • Despite the issues we experienced, the staff were friendly, helpful, and very kind with our grand children.
    • Location was good, good stuff, breakfast and diner were good, kids club also was not bad

    Cons -

    • The staff is unpleasant and the place is not clean since there are cockroaches everywhere in the room and the hallways
    • We experienced serious sanitary issues during our stay. Cockroaches were present in our room, in the spa showers, and in the dining areas. In addition, several visibly sick cats were roaming freely in the garden and inside the hotel, approaching guests and asking for food. These conditions raised significant hygiene and health concerns and ultimately led us to leave as soon as we go get flights, three days early.
    • The lunch and brunch restaurant smells very bad, i found ant at the restaurantThe rooms had mold, ant and selverfishThe heated pool had a very strong chlorine smell

    - Reception & Service: A warm welcome from the team, especially Hajar at reception, who was very professional and helpful throughout my stay.- Facilities & Cleanliness: The room, pool, and gym were spotless and very well maintained. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and perfectly organized.- Food & Dining: The food was outstanding – plenty of variety with delicious options every day, catering to different tastes.- Entertainment: The animation team did a great job, with enjoyable activities and diverse night shows that changed daily, keeping the experience fresh and fun.

One Suggestion for Improvement:To make the stay even more perfect, I would recommend dedicating one evening specifically to Moroccan culture. For example, the animation could present a journey through Morocco’s cultural richness – moving from city to city with traditional music, dance, and ambiance. Since the hotel is located in Morocco, this would make guests feel even more connected to the country and allow them to discover its cultural beauty during their stay.

what i liked the most is the location, front beach, and the 9 pools are so great especially the covered pool.

We arrived late in the evening, my husband and I were tired, and we found the showers blocked. The next day it was the same, it was disgusting. We asked for it to be repaired, and they fixed it within an hour, but there was no commercial gesture or apology.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay. The staff were unprofessional and seemed disinterested in helping guests. The room was not cleaned properly there were visible signs that housekeeping had not done a thorough job. As for the food, it was very average. Overall, I would not recommend this place to others

I like the resort especially since it's all-inclusive. The staff and service were great. The amenities of the resorts. The beach being nearby was great. The lounges were excellent. Plenty of coaches, tables, and chairs to hang around with friends.

Food can improve but the overall quality was exceptional. The different sizes of the pool and the bars were decent. Bar can improve the type of drinks the service makes but overall is good.

    - Beachfront - Swimming pools- Clean facilities - Gyme- Friendly hotel staff

    - Wild cats wandering in the restaurants- Cockroaches in the room.- Old TV (no option to access Netflix or screen-share from your device, and a very limited selection of TV channels).- Wi-Fi unstable most of the time throughout the hotel.- Limited and repetitive food options in the restaurants.- No supervision at the adults’ pool (by the beach). A tourist even brought a connected speaker and played loud music, with no intervention from the Riu staff.

Stunning hotel with good facilities. Having stayed in othe Riu hotels I wanted to be honest with my review. Although there are negatives which were addressed, I feel its good to be hinest. As all were dealt with, we left with a positive feeling of coming back to Morocco.Positives: Check in staff member Saoud was very welcoming and assisted us with arranging excursions / visits into Agadir. Any queries were dealt with promptly and effieciently, the reason I say this is because on arrival the bathroom sink had a blocked drain smell and drainage was very poor, the balacony door would not lock in both our rooms, and the mini bar was not stocked in both rooms. This was reported and dealt with in no time hence why I did not put in the negative. There were lots of pools to choose from, had the beach area, good spa facilities, gym and several bars. Loved the Jungle Bar and sitting on the balcony near reception. Overall the cleanliness was very good and apart from the negatives we made the most of the positives and still enjoyed our stay.

Negatives: The bedding and towels need to change as very rough to the state they felt gritty. Although there were several pools to choose from you had the classic sunbathers who took all the sunbeds at the crack of dawn , so others never got the full benefit of being by the pool during the day. Would suggest a booking system a I experienced in another hotel where a bed is allocated and that would be yours for the time you spent at the hotel. The 4 restaurants - Krystal we did not use as family member has fish allergy an only thing on menu was seafood, Le Musk - could not get a booking, La Babord - booked on last night - the food was awful and poorly presented, although the waiting staff were very attentive when replenishing our drinks. La Tara - buffet restarant - lots to choose from but the quality again was not great, most of the time when you selected your food it was either luke warm or cold. The choices always seemed to be the same, the food lacked taste and seasoning . Hopefully these comments will be addressed as it is a beautiful hotel.

Location of the hotel , and Staff of the Riu are exceptional especially Mr Rida reception manager and Ms Souad they made our stay fantastic many thanks to them for their excellent customer care.

Food variety didn’t met the expectation compared to the hotel price.

The site it self, the facilities and direct beach access

1-The food & beverage was very very bad in terms of quality of ingredients, tasteless and very limited choice. Quality by no means meets a 5star hotel. 2- the cleanliness of the site is very average especially around the pools, sun lounges and towels are worn out 3- bed sheets and towels in the rooms are old and not super clean4- poor service. Personal trying to be helpful but clearly lucking capabilities and absence of qualified management on site.

The repetitive food options at the buffet every night the same

It is a very big hotel with a special decoration. The pictures really catches you! But study more about it before making a decision.

I chose this place as I had a good experience in Riu Mexico and was expecting the consistency. It is unfortunate that this massive property is not managed efficiently. The facilities such as food, entertainment, staff services that they provide Comparing to the amount that they charge is really poor. The shows that were performed there was as simple as an elementary school gym dance performance which I found disrespectful to the audience. It was really hard to find someone to get a service from, they wouldn’t answer the phone when you call from the room or if they would you wouldn’t get the service most of the times. There was no iron in the room and when I asked for they said there is non available! The bedding was horrible. The sheets were so old and worn out. The mattress and pillows were really hard to sleep on. They would be out of pool towels in the afternoon. The pool lounge chairs were mostly broken and unsafe to use. The pools were getting dirty during the day as kids were using them, but there were no survivors to notice the matter and start the cleaning. The most annoying part for an international tourist was their poor Wifi all over the hotel even in my room. I had to ask for help about it multiple times. I asked to talk to the manager about the concerns and he didn’t even take the time to hear me out and ignored my request in meeting which was the final disappointment. I really regret staying there and waste my money. Gladly I had stayed in another hotel in Marakesh during my trip and had a good experience otherwise this place would have affected my perception of this trip.

I stayed at this Riu hotel with my family and was shocked by how the manager treated us. We were wrongly accused of stealing pillows. As an American family, we travel with our own high-quality pillows for comfort—we do not take anything from hotels.Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager hid in the back office and sent a parking security man to question guests in the parking lot. He asked if the pillows in our hands were hotel property. This was embarrassing and disrespectful. Here’s my advice: If the hotel thinks something is missing, ask housekeeping to count the items after check-out. If something is truly missing, speak directly to the guest at the exit—not in the parking lot in front of others. This experience was very upsetting. I hope the hotel management learns how to treat guests with more respect in the future.

The quality of the food has significantly decreased. No taste and lot of cost saving measures compared to the first 2 years. If it wasn't for the kids and the all inclusive food flexibility we wouldn't have considered it

The staff is tip oriented to a point ylthat they started believing that they are entitled to it.

It’s an amazing resort beautifully decorated. The rooms are very spacious lots of closet space.

The room smelled in the meal times like cooking mixed with a very potent sewage smell. Common bathrooms were dirty with throw up in the sink and cockroaches.

beautiful property, amazing variety of food, nice and friendly stuff, a lot of pools and enough place for every one. Great evening shows. thank you.

wifi didn't work good in the room

The hotel design, lobby and main bar decoration are stunning, beautiful gardens so well maintained and swimming pools, including an indoor swimming pool that saved our holiday as we didn’t have a warm weather and a slightly warm outdoor swimming pool. The indoor swimming pool is heated in a very warm room, it’s perfect for young children. There are also a few swimming pool reserved for adults. The staff always doing its best. The staff is really kind with children. All the above make the hotel a 5 stars hotel and it really looks like the photos. The location, walking distance to Taghazout.

The all inclusive things (crowded buffet, average food, very average drinks, people leaving glasses all over the place)The crowd. There are no quality soap and shampoo in the rooms, it’s the poorest quality you can find in 2 stars hotels. Bring your own. Towels are not up to 5 stars hotel. People reserving their sun beds early in the morning. Hotel is not regulating it (it’s written on the pool rules but nobody cares) I took a sun bed that was “reserved” by a rude French guy and was verbally assaulted, while I was alone (a women) with my kids…

    5AlexandraPosted on: 4-29-2025

Facilities are very well designed, gardens and pools are beautiful some of the staff are very nice and friendly.

If the place is crowded, the restaurants are awfully noisy, if it’s crowded and you’re going too late, buffets don’t look good (hygiene can’t be maintained with such a crowd). All sun beds are taken by people putting their towels early in the morning even if they’re not there (the staff doesn’t even bother to regulate this). Fruit juices are so sweet my kids couldn’t drink it. A few staff members don’t care about clients. My son was turning 4 years old in 2 weeks but the kids club refused him as it’s from 4yo sharp (the Hilton Taghazout accepted him). « You can book a babysitter »If you’re looking for calm and relaxed time just run away, it’s too big for quality and value for money is far from being good (paid the high price during school holiday)
