Lar Amorosa Boutique Hotel - Goa

The Big Bathrooms, the elegant and traditionally furnished rooms and property, the perfect size pool with a tree and environment to chill and have fun with friends. Obviously, everything was clean and organized (ADHD satisfied). Colorful birds trying to eat the fruit from the tree, skin tan, ham and cheese sandwich, room service and hospitality, lounge area with some amazing stuff showcased for viewing and the list goes on.

Honestly, NOTHING! We were a mix of people, who have lived in a dorm and 7-star hotels, and ALL of us had the best weekend ever!We reached at 3AM (15-hour road-trip went well) and Avita made sure we were received properly and get us checked into our rooms.

I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at this Goa resort. The location was excellent, providing easy access to [mention specific attractions or beaches if you like]. The staff was decent and helpful, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a good experience

Our recent Christmas stay at Lar Amorosa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and warmth of this beautiful property. The heritage “Suite“ was beautifully appointed, reflecting the unique blend of Portuguese heritage and modern comfort.The service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. They provided helpful recommendations for local attractionsThe location of Lar Amorosa was perfect. It offered a tranquil escape while still being within easy reach of beaches, restaurants and local markets.Overall, our stay at Lar Amorosa was an unforgettable experience. There is nothing specific that I didn't like.

The house you’ll be staying is nice and very comfortable. Period. However…

However, customer service is poor. First they have some shenanigans going on with the payments. I’ve used more than 100 times the same credit card for payments on Booking.com but this time (first time) my card kept failing and they said they could not charge it. This said, they really insisted I’d pay through an external link that kept failing and just cause me anxiety while I was already on holidays… very weird stuff. As if it wouldn’t be enough after the first of three nights they requested us to change rooms because of a conflict with another customer’s reservation, then it was because of some reparation work that was required in the room, and after all when we came back to the room later that day someone was already in our initial room. By the way we changed to a room exactly like ours so I don’t understand why couldn’t the new customer occupy the other room. This was pretty annoying since we already had all our stuff in the closet, bathroom, etc etc…

Cleanliness all through out ask the cab which is in house the driver cum owner(jayesh) of the cab is the most trusted guy in goa and he is most updated guy to make your stay comfortable

Net connection slow for ever I don't have any hope I stayed more than 20 times in last 3 years but this one issue is always bothering and the white cottage is very good but 1 toilet for 6 people is next to impossible can accomdate 1 outside toilet since so much place outside only way to get 10 rating for white cottage

The prestine look and the beautiful atmosphere. Everything was so carefully arranged to give a feeling of the old Portuguese houses. The Owners, Manager and the Staff are ever so helpful. Also thanks to the night shift care taker Pranav, who was around every time you needed something.

Staff was polite and cleanliness was top notch

Very limited breakfast options. Could have been diverse with the breakfast menu.

Decent Bed and breakfast place to stay, location is about 15 mins drive to Baga or Candolim beach. Attentive staff and Service was good.

Executive room had seepage issues and damp walls.Bed linen was torn, it was changed the next day upon request. Certainly not value for money.

The property is very conveniently located on the main Selgoda Road. Easily accessible in many directions. The breakfast was filling and well balanced and planned , some traditional non veg / veg goan options would have been great addition. Dominic uncle played the perfect host and took good care for our requirements .The swimming pool is very small and a cold open air jacuzzi is available to use throughout the day. The linen provided in the rooms were fresh and cleanIt was a bit steep for the price offered but the stay was very warm and pleasent . No kitchen available on the property but you can bring in your own food or order on the various delivery apps. many super markets and restaurants around the place . A must stay place for a very goan experience.

more options for breakfast . some live entertainment or a barbeque . parking was available but not well organised . A welcome drink !

Lar Amorosa was an absolute treat of a property to be staying at. Joekim and Dominic were such great hosts. Joekim was in continuous touch with us and kept guiding us through the check-in and in locating the property. Dominic gave an insight into the beautiful past of not only the house but also of the many artifacts in the property. The rooms were extremely clean. The bathroom had running hot and cold water. The pool and jacuzzi added to the experience. The breakfast was a good start to the day. Staying at Lar Amorosa gives one a charm of a beautiful Goan household. Overall, a wonderful stay and a definite must recommend!

Very well maintained and clean property! Owner is very humble and open to suggestions! Composed of all the amenities you wish to receive on a vaca mode. Little party area behind the cottage is good for candle-nights.

The service was not available all times. Even at the day times waiting time was much longer for little things to come to the room. This place is to stay and enjoy with family for leisure. If you are coming with a gang its not meant for you!

Wonderful homestay type of place. Clean and cosy rooms with responsive staff. Not too far off from the beaches but not too close so you can stay away from the crowds and have a peaceful stay.

Executive room was smaller than expected

Property is beautiful. Staff was friendly, helpful. The owner is present every day and take care of the guest. Old Portugal style villa. Clean pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was good.

Joekim and the staff were very helpful. The property is beautifully done up and is near most North Goa attractions. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, highly recommend it if looking for a budget stay option. Since we put up in the cottage, the room sizes were more than adequate.

Would love if the in-room amenities could improve, I suggest adding bathrobes, more storage space in rooms etc

Very well done & maintained property with very polite staff. Excellent location & easily accessible. Hiring car or bike is arranged within 5-10 mins. Very good breakfast.

Sweet little boutique hotel in an old villa, with modern basic amenities in the riom

More a B and B and not a resort or hotel / from 7 pm both nites we were Alone in property and had to lock up when going out for dinner ! Probably as being empty they ‘forgot’about us so no breakfast first day / no water in room / coffee machine in dining / had to help our selves for most things

Lar Amorosa lives up to it's expectations with regards to the old world charm it promises. Situated bang in the middle of Sangolda with multiple wonderful restaurants at under 5 minutes walking distance. Away from the maddening crowds of Calangute and Baga, yet within 15 minutes of a drive to Chapora and about 20 to Panaji. The property is clean and the staff well mannered and prompt. The bathrooms are large with hot water at good pressure anytime of the day! Well worth your money if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful stay in Goa to rejuvenate yourself!

We were in 2 rooms on the second floor, in one of the rooms, we could hear the pressure pump 24/7. Something needs to be done about the noise because it becomes very difficult to avoid it during the night hours. We did leave this feedback with Joachim. The breakfast is currently being outsourced because of the pandemic but it could definitely improve. Was wonderful otherwise in all aspects.
