Pros +
- We liked the older, genteel feeling to the small hotel: comfortable, quiet, gracious environment. Enjoyed the spa several times, it opens early and closes late. And the food, a wonderful taste experience that was spread over 2 hours.
- Unbelievable price, loved view of St. Lawrence from room, heated pool and hot tub, restaurant beyond comprehension. Overall best hotel we have ever been to anywhere in the world. Highest possible rating!

Cons -
- We stayed in the old part of the hotel and found the room was a bit small for what we are accustomed to but it was extremely comfortable.
- Not always the easiest to speak English
- It wasn’t a problem for us, but one should know that staying on the top floor of the pavilion, requires one to carry luggage from the parking area up to the room

Restaurant and spa
Room and spa were great as well as breakfast
Not always the easiest to speak English
The room was spacious with a large balcony and great views. The front desk staff were especially helpful and booked a whale watching tour for us. The restaurant was lovely and the food we had, very tasty.

Nice rm , great view, nice bedding, great hot tubs.
Water has not hot when taking a shower in the morning , towels could be replaced, stained and worn
Overall very pleasant surroundings. The staff at the front desk were very friendly , helpful and attentive .The outdoor spa facilities had a very nice ambience .
The room we had on the top floor of the main building was quite nice but small .A few small , inexpensive touches such as bottled water and a pen with writing paper would have been appreciated. We chose not to pay for the buffet breakfast but would have appreciated an area where guests could have a coffee while waiting to head out for the day.The small nespresso machine in the bedroom is for espresso only.
It was perfect, exactly what we were looking for! Great location, perfect room and excellent spa100% recommended!
The restaurant service made me feel stressed and unwelcome. The waitresses rushed our dishes and did not respect the dish/cutlery protocol, removing plates with food while we were still eating to bring the next one quickly, and repeatedly disrupting our conversation at the table. It felt they just wanted to finish their shift, wrap up, and go home asap.
Very comfortable bed. Great staff. Very good restaurant.
Oh my gosh, where do I even start? The views were absolutely stunning. We woke up early to watch the sunrise and ended the day stargazing at night. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger room with an extra space we didn’t need, but it was such a nice gesture and much appreciated. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast overlooking the scenery, followed by a soak in the outdoor hot pool, and we wrapped things up with a refreshing swim. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The service was exceptional from beginning to end, so peaceful and relaxing. Even with my limited French, the staff were incredibly accommodating.
The view, the room, and the staff were all wonderful. The spa was a surprise bonus which we enjoyed very much. He absolutely loved the restaurant and the service there. Great food and wine selection.
Location with a lovely view. Our room was quite exceptional. Very large with sitting area. Outdoor seating on the deck. Large, well appointed bathroom. We didn’t use the nature spa facilities so cannot comment on them.Restaurant was excellent.Staff very friendly and helpful
A small complaint- the towels were pretty thin and rough.Very skimpy on toiletries. One very small bar of soap, and one very small tube of shampoo and body wash.
The location , staff and outdoor spa
Beautiful room with a large sitting area (Queen Suite). Wonderful view of the St. Lawrence river and the town below. Staff very polite and responsive. Gourmet dinner in the restaurant was a real treat. Wish we had time to stay more than just one night.
We stayed several places on our last trip, and this was our favorite. A beautiful view from our comfortable room, a lovely little spa which was perfect after a long drive, and delicious meals with an incredibly friendly waitstaff.
I can almost always come up with something I didn't like, but struggling this time! :)
Spa was amazing. Lovely views from our top floor room balcony. Enjoyed sitting out with a drink looking at the river. Comfortable bed and crisp sheets.
Slightly antiquated in some areas. Stairs were old and chipped paint and dirty carpets that could have been hoovered to give a better first impression
We loved the view from our balcony, even when the clouds came over and it was pouring with rain! Blankets and comfy balcony chairs were a plus. Nice spacious room, really comfy bed, great shower/bath and spacious bathroom. The room was very quiet, even with people staying either side of us. We were pleased to have a fridge in the room to store fresh milk and other perishable food. Lovely breakfast. We only ate dinner once in the restaurant but the 5-course meal was excellent. We speak reasonable French, which was appreciated by the Québecois staff, but many of them spoke a bit of English too. They were all very friendly and welcoming. We wished we could have stayed a few days more. It was such a beautiful setting.
For English tea drinkers like us there was no kettle in the room, only a coffee maker, which we used simply to heat hot water to make ourselves cups of tea. We didn't use the coffee pods or creamer sachets at all. There are no lifts, just stairs to get to the upper floor accommodation. We managed to carry all our luggage up the stairs ourselves but it would be a struggle for those with mobility problems. The weather was very wet when we were there (late August) and we were glad we had a car as the hotel is at the top of a steep hill so we wouldn't have wanted to walk into town and back.
Very quaint but well kept up and furnished. Spa facilities were excellent
The very narrow stairs to our third floor room - although they did lead to a beautiful room with a great view and deck
A nice view of the bay.Buffet breakfast very good.Should have a baron wall in tub for stability. Personnel super pleasant.
Room was comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent. One of the best on our vacation.
It was a spa hotel, but no gym??
