Very nice hotel the staff were very nice and the rooms were great we stayed in the king room and the queen both were great and the breakfast was good

The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I also felt very safe at the property. The bed is comfortable and there is a nice big shower. It's easy to walk to town and yet far enough away that it is quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again. I also liked the coffee machine and refrigerator in the room.

Breakfast is a well rounded traditional Costa Rican meal. The property is beautiful with many flowering plants around. Pável is the hotel manager and he is very quick to reply to any questions and he’s great at suggesting restaurants in the area. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach and it’s close to multiple grocery stores. The rooms are modern and very clean.

It was a very good stay, in general we really liked Tamarindo and the hotel. The breakfast had good portions, our room was clean and very comfortable. It gets very hot during the day so the AC was very appreciated.

My sister's room smelled quite bad when we arrived, like sewers. The property owner tried to help and although it improved the smell wasn't fully gone. We stayed for 3 nights.

The building is less than a year old, so everything feels fresh and modern. This was a major factor in our decision to book here, as many reviews of other hotels mentioned rooms that felt dated and in need of renovation.Our room offered excellent views with complete privacy, ample luggage space, and high ceilings that made it feel exceptionally spacious. We were pleased to discover a microwave in the common area available for all guests to use, which more than made up for not having one in our room.Pavel, the hotel manager, was extremely responsive and graciously accommodated all our requests throughout our stay.

Nothing major, but a few small improvements would enhance the experience: The pool area could benefit from some lounge chairs in shaded spots, especially since our room didn’t have a balcony. The door mats tend to blow around in the wind and don’t stay in place—securing them or replacing them with heavier options would help. Finally, our coffeemaker had old coffee in it when we arrived, so we had to clean it ourselves before use.

Great location. Close enough to town it was a quick walk for food and fun. Far enough away we didn't hear any partying. Plus the cats were amazing!The pool was cool. Neat architecture feature. The staff was really pleasant. A/C was wonderful.

The bed was not our preferred softness, too hard for our liking. The pillows were well used and could use a replacement.The bathroom shower drain had a problem with the plumbing and would off gas. Made the room smell like poop. We put a towel on top and that solved the problem (could have also closed the door).

Quiet location with a quick walk to the beach. Amazing decor, comfortable bed, and a romantic outdoor bath!

The room was modern, and the bed was comfortable. There were some interesting coffee table books in the room.

Calm and relax. Just far enough from the main road / city action to have a good sleep and close enough to have easy access to the beach or restaurants.

I often stay here for business trips. Tamarindo is quite a lively town, but this hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the center — perfectly located, quiet, and peaceful. The rooms are very clean, and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, which is essential for those who work online. The mountain views are stunning, especially at night. There’s everything you need for a comfortable stay and even more: a small but well-equipped gym, daily cleaning, and a great breakfast. The staff are always ready to help and can recommend amazing tours. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Lovely property, clean, modern, safe, quiet and wonderful location . Loved the staff . Very attentive, nice and caring. Made us feel like home. Breakfast was amazing. We had a room with a king size bed, so it was very spacious too.

I’ve stayed here before and returned for a business trip — such a great experience again! The paid breakfast is absolutely amazing, and the people here are always smiling and go out of their way to help with anything. The place is brand new, super clean, with great internet and an incredibly comfortable bed and linens.

First and foremost, the manager, Pavel, is the consummate host! He manages an absolutely charming and lovely property with a very hands-on approach. He is available to help with luggage, answer questions, provide suggestions and always with a smile and a laser focused attention to his Guests!His property is well designed and very well maintained. The courtyard pool is inviting and a fabulous addition to an already amenity rich location! Did I mention the designated work out area with various machines?His rooms are very well stocked with terry and boutique quality shampoo, lotion, etc., the beds are firm and inviting and the walk-in shower is much appreciated after an adventurous day exploring and beaching!La Ramona Charming Hotel checks all the boxes, and you will be lucky if you can snag one of the accommodations offered!

That I couldn't stay longer! I did extend for an additional night after my initial 4-night stay, but when I asked to stay another night (or 2!) I was sadly informed the hotel was fully booked! And, understandable for every reason!

I loved the quaintness of this small hotel. Away from the center so it offers a quieter experience. Very clean. Lovely pool. And the staff are all very helpful. Added bonus of a small gym for a little a/c workout.

We had such a great stay here! Not only was the hotel aesthetically pleasing and super cozy, but the location was perfect. It was close to everything we needed. Big shoutout to Pavel, the hotel manager because he went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. He was super accommodating, gave us amazing recommendations and answered all our questions with patience and kindness. Honestly, he helped complete the whole experience. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for both comfort and great vibes!

Our room at La Ramona Charming Hotel was immaculate—one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The space was airy and bright, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light and a fresh breeze. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The décor struck a perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it feel like a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Tamarindo. You can tell they take pride in maintaining the rooms to the highest standard.
