Had an unexpected delay and needed a room at the last minute near the airport in Dublin. This was perfect! A shuttle was available to pick us up and return us to the airport the next day. The hotel is so close it feels like it¿s on airport property.

Location, high quality of room, lobby and parking area
Major pluses were proximity to airport and major bus stop for travel into Dublin. Grate breakfast kind and helpful staff- allowed us to check in early after we landed as our room was ready and we were jet lagged.
When you water it appears clean and tidy, normal¿ until you get to the floors the rooms are on. The walls are dirty, the carpets are stained. There is black mold in the showers and it¿s just gross. Our room had HAIR stuck to the bathroom walls.

The room. Although a little far out from city centre the little ?snugs? in the bar made it enjoyable to stay in the hotel

The location was good, right on the main street, near the airport and literally just a block away from Swords castle. The bar downstairs was nice as well. The room looked nice and was clean.

Top Tips
- For airport transfers under 15 minutes, choose hotels in Swords or Collinstown, both 3-8 km from Dublin Airport terminals. Most offer shuttle or taxi service; confirm the shuttle schedule or estimated taxi time before booking to ensure early morning or late-night connections.
- Hotels in Malahide or Portmarnock give fast rail access via the DART line, reaching Dublin city centre in about 18-25 minutes. For minimal last-mile transit, select properties within a 5-10 minute walk of the train station and verify DART schedules for early or late travel.
- Skerries and Balbriggan offer quieter seaside stays, with typical rail journeys of 30-40 minutes to Dublin Connolly Station. Evaluate if the longer travel time fits your schedule, especially for business trips with early meetings.
- Compare hotel 'park & fly' packages to official Dublin Airport long-stay parking rates before booking. Some hotels charge flat parking fees similar to or exceeding the airport's own rates, typically €5-€10 per night; run a cost comparison for your travel dates.
- Look for the Fáilte Ireland 'Green Hospitality' award when sustainability is a priority. This certification confirms the hotel meets national standards for water, energy, and waste management. Check hotel property pages for the award to verify eco-friendly practices.
- Always select EUR when paying by card in hotels, restaurants, or taxis to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) costs. Choosing EUR over your home currency typically saves several percent per transaction.
- After 23:00, public transport outside the DART corridor is limited. For late-night arrivals or departures, prebook a licensed taxi or rideshare, as services in some villages may be infrequent at these times.
- Request step-free or accessible rooms in historic guesthouses, especially in Malahide or Skerries where some properties have narrow stairs and no elevators. Note your need for ground-floor or accessible access in writing at the time of booking for best results.
- Contactless and chip-and-PIN payments are widely accepted, but carry €20-€50 (approx. $15-$30 USD) for small vendors, markets, or rural taxis, which may not take cards. Cash is also helpful for incidentals at some B&Bs.
- Tip 10-15% in restaurants if the service charge is not included, and give small cash tips (typically €1-€2, approx. $1-$2 USD) to hotel porters or housekeeping if you wish. Always review your bill for included service charges.
