Pros +
- The hotel is perfectly located, next too the beach. Due to the current construction, we need to walk a bit further to get to the beach but once the consutruction is done, it's a step away from the hotel. Which I really like. The reception area is huge and eventhough the check in is abit slow, it was still acceptable as welcome drinks and snacks were provided for the kids. The indoor spa area is huge and very well equipped. I really like spending time at the spa and glad they have adult only policy after 18:30.
- the staff, the bufet, the SPA area
- Modern hotel, relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff. Great outdoor pool area, pleasant spa pools for all the family to enjoy and lovely children’s facilities with ‘mini club’ and trampoline/playground.Loved the smoothies and fruity pops at the pool bar - nice to have a healthier option. Great location so close to beach - which willBe accessible via the back of the property once the new promenade is completed.
Cons -
- I traveled with family and booked both a family room for four and a classic double room. The Clásica Vista Mar room (208A) was fantastic—spacious, with a huge balcony, a large bed, and a modern, well-designed bathroom. On the other hand, the family room (149B) was disappointing. The bed was smaller, the balcony tiny, the shower handle was broken, the fridge was uneven and wobbly, and the blanket provided was very thin (though we used the two thicker ones they supplied). Overall, it didn’t feel like a five-star experience. It wasn’t terrible—we made it work—but I had hoped for better.
- Food ok, a bit repetitive and not so tasty but good for a buffetRoom (sea view) was nice but feel it needed to be a bit more plush to hit 5* standard
- not really 5 star hotel, some things to improve

Great food, nice staff
not really 5 star hotel, some things to improve
Very good
We with our 10 y.o boy took the Family room. There is no privacy in bathroom at all. Glass wall (with semitransparent blinds that doesn’t work at all) + glass door with no blinds at all. It is very strange hotel room.
The Spa…The Staff ,. in general were pleasant especially a lady in the bar area called Celine
Most other things. This was definitely NOT a 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels which were as you’d expect The Gran Palas was in My opinion more like a 3-4 star . 1 Only 1-2 receptionists so long wait .2 The room was dusty especially the shelving units and the outside balcony was filthy with used chewing gum on floor .The bath towels were the size of hand towels and toiletries were NOT replenished . 3 We asked for more coffee and milk and were told they were only suppled on 1st night. !! therefore had to buy our own from a shop . 4 The food selection was very sparse and not very hot,no variation for dinner . Breakfast/dinner was once again 3/4 star standard very mediocre indeed . To sum up ,of all the 5 star hotels I’ve booked through yourselves this was by far the worst .
Great hotel in great location a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The Bedroom was huge, modern and very comfortable, couldn't fault it. The bar and restaurant were good and the included breakfast was very good. Great choice. We booked and paid for secure parking and had a great spot on the foyer with a bollard which was good. Lovely walk along the sea front.
Spa facilities are good.
Room is not 5 star. Tiny room, concrete floor tiles, two single beds when asked for a double.
We loved Gran Palas Hotel . The room was very big and the breakfast had a lot of choices, the dinner also . Access to the Spa was great also . We had a lovely relaxing few days there
A wonderful hotel. A very spacious room and a wonderful terrace with sea view. A lovely buffet for dinner and for breakfast with numerous choices.
The swimming pool, jacuzzi and spa experience was great
AC was not working. But we left the door open and the weather was good, so did not complain.
the number of activities available, there are different options including sauna and steam rooms. but also a few jacuzzi and a large pool
opening hours and the maintenance of the premises are not too recent
All inclusive
There was not much happening around the hotel. Very quiet. A bit far from Barcelona City Centre. No train close by.
Nice bedroom and breakfast and location
We couldn't access the QR code to see the room service menu or the spa menu. I approached reception asking for hard copies and was told sternly that they didn't have hard copies. Thus we didn't order room service or use the spa. On another day and nicer and more helpful staff member gave me the hard copy of the room service but we were leaving and never used it.
Breakfast was very good but foods that should be hot tended to be a little on the cool side. Juice and coffee first class. Nice range of fruit. Cereals were fine
Just the hot food it’s a good hot.
Everything was fine. Stuff on reception desk was excellent. We was there once and we would come again. Good safety garage the room was big excellent bathroom and big big terrace with sea view
Breakfast and dinner could be with more variety
Nice pools and grounds. Modern design. Large bedroom and bathroom. Good breakfast.
Whoever decided that no mirror is needed in a bedroom. Or, no shelves or drawers to unpack your clothes into.. or, no electrical sockets/charging points anywhere near the bedside tables. Weird? Had the person who designed the bedrooms ever stayed in a hotel?
Great location and excellent hotel.
The reception staff was not trained giving wrong information and with lack of right attitude, just not trying to help at all. This should be improved.
We booked this hotel as it says 5 stars and we believed the quality should be also great, but we were very disappointed. We planned to have a rest at SPA, but before booking there was no any notification that SPA is under construction (just one swimming pointless pool was working), but they charged the full amount for SPA and overpriced hotel room in general. Scam.

It was a wonderful hotel, the room was big and spacious. There was a kettle in the room which was perfect ! Lovely balcony with garden view. The pool and spa was clean and great fun.
The breakfast didn’t scream 5 star for me . The quality of some of the produce could be better .
