Maputaland Guest House

We've had the most amazing stay in St. Lucia. When we first arrived, Jorg sat us down and told us everything we needed to know about the town: activities, restaurants, dangers and more. During our stay he was very very helpful and super kind. His family is also very nice and his daughter is very polite. The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was good with different kinds of cheese, cold meat, bacon, eggs, jelly/honey etc and fruit salad. I'd definitely stay again!!

Open and airy Maputaland Guest House is thankfully located on a serene, quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, traffic and noise of Mackenzie St., a few minutes away. German-born Gisela is a 30-year resident of St. Lucia, so knows the lay of the land in detail, and was a most gracious and helpful hostess during our two-day stay. A real bonus was the ability to have our laundry done the same day while we were out and about. The open-air full English breakfast and coffee was excellent. I have stayed elsewhere in St. Lucia on three previous occasions, and I would definitely return to Maputaland Guest House again!

The only slight negative is that parking is in front of the guest house, a little congested, and not in a secure enclosure, but that is merely incidental.

Guest house and rool was really nice. The owner was very friendly and gave a lot of advice about things to see and do in the area.

The welcome was very nice. The decoration in general very cozy, the room very comfortable and the breakfast offered at will so plentiful and varied.. In short, we felt like home in a very safe place. We have only one desire: to come back. Thanks for everything

The room was clean and spacious. The Guesthouse has a beautiful outdoor and the breakfast is excellent.The host, Jorg, gives you all the information you need and helps you to have the best time in St Lucia!He is friendly and goes out his way to make you feel welcome.

Great location on the outer quiet part of town. Excellent host who helps in every way he can, gives advices and helps book tours (though you might want to book ahead for some as they can fill up). Very good breakfast, even to go when going out early. Rooms are decent size. Lovely garden.

Wifi is slow or unavailable. Some elements in the room are dated. Fridge can use some cleaning.

The host was excellent. He told us all about St Lucia. He arranged us also a hippo croc cruise. Everyday we had a wonderful breakfast. We were happy we booked it for 4 nights. The room was nice big and clean.

Host took time to explain us the area and gave us tips for activities and restaurants. Lovely garden and nice bedrooms with comfy beds.

Great tips and service from the hosts and staff, they really go above and beyond. We really enjoyed 'the zoo'. :) St Lucia is just magical and Maputaland Guest House is the place to stay!

The hosts were very kind and welcoming. They give a lot of information so you get a good idea of what to do. The beds were very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and very calming. Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, there was no warm water available in our room. Even though we asked about it, the problem wasn't solved for our second night. The Wifi was not available in our room either. The hosts offered to book a boat tour for us, but something went wrong even though we double checked with them. Mistakes can happen, but it was really unfortunate for us because we planned things differently and were on a tight schedule.

It was peaceful, Gogo was very friendly. Everyone was friendly

The guest house is located within the natural reserve in a wonderful location. Near everything and in a fantastic tropical garden. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The host was lovely providing a lot of information and tips. The breakfast was varied and abundant in this jungle like context.

The shredding! But this is outside the control of the guest house who provided in any case all the needed power.

cleanliness, friendly staff and location is beautiful quiet and safe we could take our morning walks.

Lovely place, felt like a home away from home. The owners are really nice and helpful, both with organising trips as well as tips for local restaurants and activities. Very nice breakfast, good sitting areas to spend the day avoiding the sun or rain. Overall a very relaxed atmosphere, with a beautiful quiet garden, easy walk from both the beach and main street
