    Pros +

    • Budget friendly option with a great location. The hotel was warm and inviting and super clean.
    • Nice place in a beautiful location close to the Cliffs of Moher and nice local pubs
    • I arrived late on a wet night and after a long trip, and it was wonderful to see the fireplace going, and to be welcomed by Richard. The location by the river and close to the pubs, bakery, restaurants and bus stop is great, and the house is very charming. It has a large kitchen where I cooked my eggs for breakfast, and Richard prepared a great coffee for us. It was lovely to chat with him and also with the other costumers.

    Cons -

    • I would love a hand towel for the bathroom but I didn’t ask for one either! Just a suggestion.
    • Noisy. Staff not present when needed. Breakfast and coffee confusing.
    • Would have liked more room instead of cramming in beds. Beds were ok. The doors creaked a bit, and with quiet time at 11 pm, it was a little hard to keep quiet :-)

Great location and value. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. All of the other guests I encountered were also very friendly. The kitchen was spotless, and my room was clean and warm. Very cozy, definitely recommend!

An absolutely wonderful experience! Our private room was very clean, the blankets/bed so cozy, and the view out the window magical. The location is perfect, couldn’t get any better. We especially appreciate the wonderful advice we go to take Conor’s Pass on the Dingle Peninsula, it was our favorite part of our road trip so far!

I would love a hand towel for the bathroom but I didn’t ask for one either! Just a suggestion.

Lovely old stone building in a serene setting. Social spaces for sharing, meals, card games. Clean kitchen with clearly written “house rules”. Hosts provided helpful information on transportation and local points of interest.

The room were very clean. The kitchen was neat and clean. Plenary of space to prepare your meal and plenary of space to sit down and eat. Nice cozy fireplace and sofas. The staff was also amazing! Always willing to help. Waking distance to O Conners Lub, which I highly recommend and to the Cliffs of Moher

This stay provided a clean place to stay in a great location for doing the cliff walk and walking to pubs and restaurants. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful.

It was lovely, plenty of room. Kind and helpful staff. We lived speaking to the owner about the history of the location. We will certainly return and recommend to any and all!

Location was great. Very walkable to the Cliffs trail and the pubs.

Would have liked more room instead of cramming in beds. Beds were ok. The doors creaked a bit, and with quiet time at 11 pm, it was a little hard to keep quiet :-)

Great location near the river and close to hotel Doolin, short walk from pubs and restaurants, bus stop. Room was cosy but adequate for one night with own ensuite. Hostess Adva very welcoming and helpful. Wonderful well-equipped kitchen with 3 cookers and 2 sinks!

All good, no complaints at all! Everyone was very friendly and interesting, and we met new people from different continents, all sharing food and conversation.

Cute old house, sweet hostel vibes and a nice, cozy room. Walking distance from pubs and restaurants. Everything was really pleasant.

Leon was the most generous host! We had car issues and he picked us up and brought us to his location. He then picked us up in town so I didn't have to walk back! I cannot say enough about their hospitality! The most amazing host ever! I feel indebted to he and his wife! They made what was a difficult situation an enjoyable one! I can't say enough about how wonderful they were! They made our trip a pleasurable one! Spent many many hours trying to accommodate us! The location was ideal! The breakfast was delightful! But best of all, were Leon and Gillian!

My room had a bathroom and it was quiet. 1 block from food, music etc but no Main Street noise

Very cozy and charming place! I was comfortable and loved being within walking distance of several pubs and the Cliffs of Moher walk.

It all turned out okay in the end but I think it's a good heads up for travelers that this property has a more strict check-in deadline (I think it was 8pm). I did notify them that I would be later than that (had to drive several hours) but there is only a very small staff and they had already gone home by the time I arrived and had to come back.

We spent one night en route to Glasgow. This is primarily a Hostel for campers or trekking people. The Location is great, close to restaurants and stores. Rooms are small but comfortable, same as the shower. They don't serve breakfast, but you have an area where you can prepare your breakfast. If you don't have the ingredients for it, you can take from them anything you need, but you will be charged. Coffee, eggs, ham, etc.

Nothing that I can think of.

This was the best option for me and my family visiting the Cliffs of Moher. Doolin is a very beautiful small village 20 minutes away from the cliffs. Friendly, cozy and beautiful place.
