About
Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Country House and Lodge stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Doolin village is just 10 minutes' walk away. Facing Aran View Country House and Lodge are the beautiful Aran Islands, which are just 6.8 mi from Doolin. To the north is the famous Burren landscape of limestone and exotic wild flowers. To the south are Doolin Pier and the beginning of the imposing Cliffs of Moher that jut into the wild Atlantic Ocean. Relax in the wine bar beside a cozy turf fire with a glass of wine from the extensive wine list. The view across to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay is wonderful and in the summer evenings the sunset over the Aran Islands is a beautiful sight. The lounges also offer beautiful views of the islands and cliffs.

- Beautiful place. Just outside Doolin. Wonderful views of the Cliffs of Moher as well as Aran Island
Cons -
- Not having a lift was a bit of a challenge, it may already be mentioned on the site but if not it should be so that people can plan luggage accordingly (we had several huge checked bags to lug up the stairs)
- There were flies in the living/kitchen area, but no Fly Spray to use. There was no Spatula for the Frying Pan. Trying to get a taxi was a nightmare. To and from the village. Only for the very friendly Bar staff in the local pubs we would have had to walk home late at night in the pouring rain. Other than that we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
- One of the toilets wasn’t flushing during our visit and there was a smell in the adjoining bedroom during our visit.

Great views, great communication, very clean, lots of amenities
We loved everything about this accomodation. If only the weather was better for us we would have enjoyed the walks to and from the village, however, Storm Erin hit us like a ton of Bricks !!

The location was amazing! Gorgeous views. Fresh scones and very clean.

Stunning views and partial modern feel inside. Spacious. Host was very helpful and friendly
Shower heads need updating. Could have been cleaner lots of dust behind beds.
We had my sister's 50th birthday with family and friends, we had 20 people, we booked the whole house. The facilities are just fabulous with bar, pool room, dining hall. We had ages 17 to 80 and all loved it, rooms are spacious and spotless. We brought our own drinks and food, There were little things like musty odors, but disapated once we ventaled the rooms, it was early in the season so probably not used much over winter months. Overall fabulous and would recommend
Good location close to Doolin.Comfortable beds.House cleaner very welcoming and helped us check in.Nice kitchen and ideal for group.
Couldn't get through to host to check in.Hot water was off in the evening time for showers.
We had a fabulous stay from start to finish. We were a group of 10, and everyone’s needs were catered for perfectly. Great communication before the stay, with advice re restaurants, taxis etc. The house was warm and comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Would love to have stayed more than one night !
Very comfortable, great staff, beautiful views and sunset. Close to fun.
Located on the Coast Road above Doolin town, Aran View does not disappoint with great views to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed these views from the comfortable sitting room on the second level as our guest room was on the back side of the house. Our room was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The dining room is attractive and breakfast was quite good.
This property does not have a lift, so guests need to carry their luggage up the stairs (two floors in our case.) We knew of this and it was not a problem for us, but could be for other travelers.
It was close to major attractions. The caretaker Sharon was helpful and available for any questions.
Nothing property was awesome
Beautiful building, gorgeous property, large room that was very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my decision to stay at Aran View Country House, and was especially pleased considering that I booked the room just the night before.
Friendly staff and lovely dog on site! Comfortable stay and the food was excellent.
Clean updated nicely furnished and the dog!
Great location with great staff and a great breakfast
Lovely old school feel with a nice stroll to the pub.
The views from the front were great at sunset. I asked for a cup of tea and reception gave me the necessities to bring to my room.
The staff when I checked in had little knowledge of the area, where the walk started to Cliffs of Moher would have been good. The lady on checkout was local and full on great info.
Best sleep we had the whole vacation. The bed, the fresh air, the peace and quiet. We loved being greeted by ShadowWe loved the walk to the village pub.
The choice of breakfast was amazing and good healthy options too. The traditional Irish breakfast is always a winner and lovely to have on a holiday. The views from my breakfast table were breathtaking and the staff were prompt and friendly.Thank you for a superb stay
