Pros +
- staff apart from owner- good.
- The location is spectacular. Only matched by the facility. It's very new and extremely well thought out. The staff was great, shout out to owner, Klaus, chef Jurgen, and servers Vivian and Ondre! The views are out of this world, access to ski touring is world class, and the food was excellent!
- The hotel was great. Good food and friendly staff. Amazing view
Cons -
- Our stay at BichlAlm Berggasthof was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. The owner behaved shockingly rude and unprofessional. While I was quietly watching a handball game at the bar, he approached us twice — first making inappropriate comments, and then telling me to leave because he “doesn’t like” guests watching sports. I have never seen anything like this in a hotel claiming to be luxury. The room also had silverfish, which I had already reported to the staff. Completely unacceptable for a hotel charging USD 522 per night. The property also misleads guests about parking and access. You cannot drive to the hotel. Parking is 2 km away, you must take a ski lift (which costs extra), and the lift closes at 17:00. This means you can’t enjoy a full ski day or dine in town without risking getting stranded.Beautiful scenery cannot make up for the disrespectful behavior, the misleading information, and the lack of basic standards.I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Slightly overheated but it was fine with the open window during the night
- The directions to get here weren’t completely clear in the confirmation. They give you the address to the actual building which you can’t drive to. They need to provide the address to the chairlift base, the Bichalm Sesselbahn. They also need to make it clear that you need to pay extra to ride the chairlift to the hotel. That would have been helpful to know ahead of time.

Wonderful place to stay in a unique setting & environment. The staff is very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The location is magnificent and very well maintained. The view is spectacular. We had a wonderful stay which I would recommend.
The building, our room, the privacy while still having a friendly and welcoming staff. The whole place is very cozy. It’s also special that you get to interact with one of the owners who renovated the space. The sauna is bar none the best sauna I’ve ever relaxed in. It should be a place to visit before you die stop.

Almost everything , clean and comfortable room , magnificent views, superb breakfast and dinner , warm welcome from staff
Unluckily that no snow on that date so we can't ski down to the base station
Amazing exclusive location and panoramic Mountain View .Beautiful building with very tasteful decor.Excellent , friendly and helpful staff .Food and drink perfect .
Breakfast was yummy as were the dinners. Location was beautiful and building was amazingly modern.
Make sure to follow directions to the lift and not the hotel.
View is stunning, service was perfect and super friendly, calm place and unique experience to stay at Bichlalm!
Longer opening times of the sauna / spa, sometimes the bedroom was too warm for sleeping. More information about the chairlift to Bichlalm would be nice before we arrived!
Great unmatched view on the surrounding mountains, valley and the sunset. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Modern wellness zone with Mountain View from sauna. Tasty breakfast and dinner. Spectacular 360 view from top of the hill within the walking distance from the hotel. Great modern design.
Everything but especially the views, food and hospitality.
The view and the people. Amazing staff
Duvet too short. I am too tall
We have absolutely loved this hotel!really high standard of customer service, food, and facilities! Great atmosphere and fantastic location!! We could not wish for a better break!

Fantastic cuisine, magnificient mountan-view, friendly and very helpfull staff
verry good breakfast and dinner
It's difficult that you can only reach the hotel by ski lift and that the ours of the lift are only from 9 till 5
The location high above The Valley was amazing. The entire staff was so friendly and the food! Wow the food, local honey, cheese from a far down the hill. Yogurt and cheese made fresh in house. What an incredible property
Perfect location for hiking, there are many paths with different difficulties.Friendly hotel for pets, my dog was very well treated.Highly recommended to book breakfast and dinner . Vegan friendly too, I requested vegan food and the stuff arranged everything perfectly beyond my expectations. Breakfast was delicious and included non dairy milk and vegan cheese. The dinner was perfect after a long day of hiking, the chef is very talented and created very delicious vegan dishes. The hotel atmosphere is very cozy and perfect for a great holiday even in the rainy days. The sauna and relaxation area was very nice and has a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains.Part of the fun is also get to the hotel with the chair lift. Thank you for the hospitality!
The Bichelalm is an exceptional hotel. The location is breathtaking with a view like no other, the design is most tasteful and upkeep meticulous with a great attention to detail, the food is great - traditional Austrian menu with a modern touch, and above all is the outstanding hospitality lead by Niko the proprietor and his great team (Elia and others).Highly recommend!
Everything, except that you have to hike sometimes to get there.
