    Pros +

    • Quirky hotel, big room
    • Location is absolutely wonderful, quiet, and the staff is just incredible, always willing to help. Also, the desing is breathtaking, with lots of hidden details such as a lot of mirrors everywhere and such.
    • The receptionist was very helpfull, the room very clean and the breakfast very good.Very good quality!

    Cons -

    • Very dark, no facilities for food, bar closed ,
    • Non-functioning elevator, though we understand that this is a temporary issue, so not that relevant, but still it felt like an eternity to climb stairs, especially if you are accommodated at the highest floor.
    • Problems with the locks on the doors, not having hair drier in the bathroom, the first room we had was noisy as it was right under the heating room. The shower cabin was destroyed, looked like after the war, no shower gel just some cheap soap!

Clean room, good location, in a quiet area, and a very nice interior design.

There are some things to improve, like the broken furniture, broken shower (we had to ask them to change it), some detached sockets and a detached curtain.

The size of the room ( suite ) was good . The room ( this type ) has 2 bathrooms that is great . Breakfast is pretty good and the food is good quality . The hotel has parking for all the guest , and finally .. really looks like a castle .. Dracula’s house .

The room need a renovation .. the bathrooms first . On the upper floor of the suite the heating was not working at all . In the lower part was working from time to time .. It was .. really hot , or really cold . The hotel has an elevator for only 1 floor and the stairs are really small when you are with luggage

Historical looking building Quiet area Good breakfast food selection Nice room

The coffee at breakfast is terrible, the tea selection poorTo get to the room I had two flights of stairs with no elevator 15 minutes walk from the slopes

Staff is very friendly and rooms are clean. Tea and coffee is free in the morning.

There is no kettle in the room and water is not provided (with extra charge).

I loved this hotel and I cannot wait to have the opportunity to stay there again! The place is amazing! It truly takes you back in time, the decoration makes you feel as if you are inside a vampire castle as it promises. The room was extremely comfortable and very well equipped with a big bed.And the breakfast was exceptional! The lady working at the kitchen went all the way to give us the best.

Very characteristic and detailed place, with a nice crew. Very nice location, in between Brasov and Bran.

The rooms felt a bit empty, although maybe that was the intention. I was expecting a bit more from the suite, but the experience was magnificent.

The area, the hotel looks like a castle. It has a special atmosphere.

The room was not a big, there was not enough space for two. Bathroom looks good, but functionality of the shower was so bad. Not every day was room cleaned.

The staff were extraordinarily kind, welcoming and helpful.

The temperature in the room was a bit warm and I couldn't get it cooled down.

    7CollinPosted on: 9-16-2024

The hotel itself was amazing. The architecture was well done.

The reception staff were quite abrupt. The distance to Brasov was further than I expected. However that's my fault. Water isn't provided and had to be purchased, the dining room wasn't open for lunch or dinner. The large wooden coat rack fell off the wall hitting me and damaging my suitcase. No apologies were offered.

The staff was attentive and nice. Not very pricey.

Low degree of maintenance and room not so clean. We probably arrived off season so public areas like bar and corridors seemed dark and deserted. Rooms not accessible by elevator. All in all it seems like a nice hotel but low maintained and with missed potential.

good value for the money, friendly staff, very quiet inside

poor breakfast with cheap products despite the 4 stars.

I heard about this Hotel from one of my friends a few years ago & being a huge Dracula fan had to stay. The general look & feel is perfect until you get to your room, which is generally ok but things are broken, very outdated & definitely not clean to the standard a 4 star hotel should be. The views are amazing & the duplex rooms are also amazing.

Firstly paying good money to stay at a ‘4 Star’ hotel surely there should be a 24hour reception staff, no these guys bugger off at 10pm. We rushed to get there - called ahead to ask what time close by restaurants close - Mihai (reception staff) told me 11pm - i drove 10hours and was told by him that if i did not get there by 10pm he would be closing!?!?! I just about got there at 9.45pm - my kids had not eaten properly as there was no option to rush. Once there we dumped our stuff & left for a restaurant nearby - 10.15pm & all the restaurants were closed - i had to drive 30 minutes back down the mountains to get food for my kids.Back to the room - the safe was not working, the sofa was broken, there was no AC & only one fan, the room was sweltering & again the answer, sorry don’t have another fan! The room floor was generally dirty, and things dusty. Light switches not working, tv not working, had to physically trace the Ariel cable to find it was not plugged in! Curtains were broken, window latch broken, pipe access door missing in the main room - not even covered with cardboard or anything, very unprofessional. My daughter felt sick that night, don’t know if it was the rush rush or the fact that she didn’t eat (7 year old) and was overwhelmed after eating etc - she felt sick on the edge of the bed & unfortunately couldn’t get to the wash room quick enough, my wife water washed the top cover & the duvet & as there is no staff we had to sleep in the condition. The upstairs sofa bed area has an additional seating area - with no curtains - how dumb could this actually be, so in the morning the light beams into my face waking me up, there should at least be a curtain or blind on this door!?!The next day I told Mihai all my concerns, he came to my room after 20mins with all the safe keys apart from mine, how can this even be possible??

The staff were amazing and I had a real wonderful experience having a massage therapy after a long trip.

The room was not as clean as expected for 4 stars, to be honest.., it appeared a bit dusty and the hotel appeared old and abandoned somehow( maybe because there were not too many tourists). In one room the air con was not functioning (and it was quite hot) and I could not find a bin in my room. For people with mobility problems, not the best location.Maybe during the winter time is more animated and hopefully fully refurbished. But overall, we enjoyed the trip!

The entire hotel looks like a castle, inside and out, which is quite interesting. There is no shortage of parking space. The breakfast is exceptional. The kitchen staff do a superb job with the buffet. There was a wide variety of food to choose from and everything was delicious. If there aren’t many tourists staying at the hotel, they don’t prepare a buffet, they do individual breakfasts, which are also excellent.

We stayed twice at this hotel and both times the bar was closed. It never seems to be open. The furniture could use an upgrade.

The room was perfect and the staff was friendly

The wiev of the room not that good, considering the potential of the area.
