Hotel Piatra Mare

We had a great time. Our room for 2 adults and a child was large and comfortable, with a sizeable balcony. The beds were good, and it was quiet and restful. Breakfast is plentiful and pretty diverse, including some vegetables. The staff was just OK, except for a lady who seemed to be in charge during our last evening and was great, with very good English and nice to talk to. The pool was wonderful, heated and not crowded at all. The location was a bit out of the way, since we didn't have a car, but Bolt/Uber/public transport after a bit of walking did the job perfectly fine. All in all, a great stay..

Beautiful location with beautiful views! The pool area is a nice extra added value - great to have a swim up bar in a heated pool after a cold day in the mountains!

The rooms were a little smaller than expected (we didn’t ski but I imagine it would be quite a squeeze with all that extra ski equipment in there as well). Little tiny details in our room like no bathroom door lock, no bathroom shelving for toiletries and not enough plug sockets. Not enough to ruin the stay at all, but things for the hotel to consider. Breakfast was not really to our family’s preference but very similar to other hotels we stayed at in same area so think that may be just down to personal preference as the food was ok.

Very clean, very warm rooms, furniture in our room was not new, new, but looked very good.Pool was nice, water could be a little bit warm, but the air temperature made up for it.A big plus, is we could pay with tourist vouchers.

Location is good and breakfast is very varied, also the pool is clean and big.

We had no heat in the room considering that it was below 10 degrees outside at night. We asked for an electric heater and the second night (Friday to Saturday) the heat was turned on, probably due to several complaints.

Outdated rooms, uncared for, unprofessional cleaning services. Dust , mold, patched bathroom. Breakfast was horrible, every morning the same cold cuts and eggs, beans and sausages, juices made from instant powder, jams that did not see the fruits. This is not a 4 stars hotel by any means! Too expensive for what they offer.

There was nothing we liked about this hotel. Everything was bad and miserable. We felt cheated with what we paid for and what we got.

We have never had a failure like this. The hotel in the picture and in person as a hotel from 1975 and from 2025. Everything is so bad that it would take a lot of space to list. A very expensive and never cheaper hotel live. Everything looks more like an old hunting or hiking lodge than a hotel with such a rating and description. we counted our times to leave it as soon as possible.

It’s a nice big facility with a lovely spa and pool

The rooms are abit older and the bedsheets are not big enough for the bed so always come off during the night. It’s also worth noting that it’s not that close to the slopes, but there is a ski bus very frequently

Fantastic stay! The room was incredibly spacious and offered an amazing view of the slopes. The breakfast was fair, with a good variety of options. The pool was big and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Plenty of parking spots and the shuttle service to the slopes was really convenient. Highly recommend!

The only downside was the slow elevators, which required a lot of waiting time.

The hotel is amazing and they have great facilities. This is the second time I stayed in this hotel because the first time I enjoyed so much that I had to get back. The room is huge and the viewing to the ski mountain is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly, specially the ski bus driver that was so kind e helpful. I would highlight recommend the hotel.

the big massive pool was really nice, the only thing that was nice from this hotel apart from the location.

the hotel is really old, or feel like it.. the gym was absolutely awful and the dry sauna was not in fonction.. the room is really really small so basically it's not worth it for the price i paid!

Ski bus should start earlier at 8.40 and not 9.05.Breakfast could be more diverse.Spa should have jacuzzi also.

The room was a disaster. Loose fittings, not very clean and the worst thing - the wind was blowing from the outside in our room with the balcony door closed. Staff attempted to say it's normal at first, then tried to remedy the situation and ultimately gave us a cleaner room without the siberian wind problem.
