Hotel Escalade & SPA

Very comfortable and clean hotel with polite and helpful staff. A decent pool with isolated jacuzzi and kids zone. Meals was good prepared and very delicious.

Sauna should be a little bit bigger, was aglomerate sometimes

breakfast is very good, large variety of choicesstaff, especially waiters, were very friendly and customer orientedwe ordered at the restaurant for lunch and dinner and food was very good; they have menu for kids as wellkids play room and playground outside was a real bonus

bathroom furniture, especially the shower, could use an update; otherwise, it was functional

room was very simple and bathroom needs remodeling . water pressure splashes all around the dated sink . air conditioning did not work and leaving window open brings all cigarette smoke inside .

lack of aircon or ventilation, lack of a window that is not at child level, lack of a window that could be left open without the ability cu get into the room from outside.

Very nice 4* hotel, in the center of Poiana Brasov, clean, with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, a la cart restaurant, supportive staff.

The rooms do not have balcony. It would be nice to be informed at the Reception about the view of the room (the view of our room was an another/lateral part of the hotel, so no mountain or street view.Sometime in the evening (but for a limited period of time) crowded and noisy children zone close to the restaurant/hotel.

The Staff is very friendly and ready to support. The restaurant is amazing !!!

Everything was almost perfect . Only one small suggestion, the cleaning of the shower cabinet...please pay more attention

The room was poor. The breakfast was the same every day.

I liked the staff which was very friendly and helpful.I liked the pool was very nice. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was tasty.

The hotel had good amenities and it was super close to the ski rental shops and lift to the mountains (5 minute walking)

- Barely anyone from the staff speaks more than a few words of english including in the reception, and they weren't very helpful in most of the interactions we had with them. Maybe it was the lack of english skills or just a cultural thing, but they never smiled and gave us flat and short answers. For example, we didn't have hot water on our last day -when I mentioned this in the reception I received a "yes, we are aware". She didn't apologise for the inconvenience, or give us any estimation of when the problem would be fixed. We had to checkout and do a 5h car trip without showering. - Room service was pretty bad. They wouldn't refill the coffee or even replace our used mugs, they would just let them there in the bedroom for 3 days. Left us without toilet paper once (we had to go ask for it), and didn't even make the bed properly (see photo attached).- Breakfast was always lacking something, I had to ask for eggs and bacon because they weren't proactive in refilling anything.- We wanted to do a massage but the ladies at the SPA didn't speak english at all. Eventually they managed to tell us it wasn't possible that day, without giving any reason. Meanwhile they were chit-chatting in the spa reception for like 3 hours, pretty much since we asked for the massage until we left the spa - nobody else was there. It seemed they just didn't feel like working that day.- We had dinner in the hotel restaurant at least twice and the meats (t-bone steak and something else) and fish (grilled salmon) were overcooked every time. Overall the hotel has good facilities but it was pretty empty and the staff seemed almost inconvenienced that we were staying there, for some reason. Not the best experience and I wouldn't recommend it to others as there are plenty of alternatives around.

Clean, nice rooms. Location is close to the restaurants, slops. Good breakfast. Large and various menu at the restaurant with affordable prices. Nice pool and saunas.
