Kristel Hotel

The personnel is really friendly and supportive. The rooms were very well maintained and cleaned every day. I was traveling alone with my son, and we felt well that there was always someone at the desk, and there was security during the night, also very friendly, which gave us a sense of security. The hotel has a sense of chic despite it being somewhat vintage. The marble surfaces give it a good mood. The hotel is built with the ambition of giving the sense of a real hotel, giving it a nostalgic note of glamor. The art on the walls is original, and there are some really good pieces and paintings by Bulgarian artists, which elevates the space. Even if not everything is ideal in the hotel, and it could use some renovation, it is kept very clean, and if you do not intend to make your bed every morning, prepare your own breakfast, and clean the batch, and just want to enjoy your stay, I highly recommend it for the value and comfort.

The location is quite good in a sense because it is near the main road between Varna and Golden Beach. But precisely this has a downside. Even if the garden separates you from the cars driving by to a certain extent, the closeness of the road can be felt. Still, the road is not as busy as it used to be some years ago. From a highway it has turned into a boulevard, and so its closeness is bearable.

No heating in the room. No hot water at all. Stuff provide heater, which also burnt during the night.

The place, the pool, the bed, the staff

The old and not maintained furniture, carpets, bathroom. It is a 3 star hotel from BG, not a 4 star at all.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Somehow, it was the only hotel that offered me two rooms for three adults, which was what I was looking for.

The hotel was advertised as having free parking. It turned out that the parking was on the street, which was a bit uncomfortable. The toilet was not flushing well, which is something that I see for the first time in a hotel.

Location and pool

No parking allowed, not allowing to park in front for some , but others yes. I was arguing with staff in order to get my baby in and out of the car at the entrance . This is very disappointing.

Book your own taxi. If the hotel owner books it will cost twice the price.

The furniture has a charming vintage style and is absolutely beautiful. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. The swimming pool was pristine and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was delightful.

Breakfast was simple, but good (omelette, poached egss, some vegetables, olives, cheeses). The only suggestion is to serve coffee instead of instant coffee. It would be nice to have a good coffee in the morning, although, it is true, you can ask and pay for a good espresso at the bar in the lobby (near the breakfast area).All the staff was polite and helpful.Hotel must have been a jewel when new. It needs a little renovation, but it is in good condition and is clean.

WiFi was unstable.Walk to the beach was great during spring, might be a little far in the heat of the summer.

Since 8 years ago , nothing has changed. It needs a little update. The doors are still unlocked with keys. The carpets are really old and rundown.

A little bit dusty , they would need to clean better the rooms. Smelling of dust.

The hotel is clean, but it needs serious renovation (the carpet had stains, the bathroom accesorises are rusty).

I reserved a room with parking place (they specify “parking place” in the price of the room). In the evening I arrived, there was a very rude lady at the reception (upset that I woke her up, even if I ‘ve announced the hour of arrival and got a confirmation from the hotel that was ok). She said it’s not her problem I don’t have a parking place even if I paid for it. My car remained on the street, outside the property. This problem was solved only the second evening after I asked to speak to the manager. The breakfast was poor, the coffee was awful.

Staff was friendly and helpful, not many parking spaces but they helped us park on the street.Breakfast was nice and diverse. Clean and comfortable hotel overall.

We couldn’t shut the curtains in our room and light gets through in the morning.

Everything was on level!!!:))) - and staff, and breakfast, and room, and hotel. Staff had always smiled and ready to help! Breakfast was rich and fresh!The hotel is very clean! The room was daily cleaned!

Bad

We booked a room at the late evening and come to check in to hotel in time which shown on Booking (till 00:00). Nobody was there, nobody answered in messages. So we needed to find a new room in a new hotel almost at night. Awful.

Pleasant

We booked room in the hotel, but when we arrived we were informed that all rooms are full and lady (most probably the owner) told us that we will have apartment instead of room. Unfortunately, apartment was far from the quality of the hotel room - one of the conditioners didn't work, stuffed shower, etc. we were very dissapointed, but stayed there as it was evening and we didn't want to search for another hotel to stay. We asked lady to give us room what we booked for the next day. The answer was - if we have free room, we will give... She didn't apologize for inconvenience. Next day we got the room we booked, but we had to ask for it again...

Hotel owner disturb too much to staff and customers. Argue with staff in front of customers and there is no privacy and peace for people who is looking for peace in lobby bar and have drink. It’s a mess. Better find other hotels with same price.

we didn't even stay well and had to pay, it's still 4 stars. If it's still a jacuzzi to not offer slippers and bathrobes, it's not ok. Small, small sheetsbathtub cleaning, problem

Property is as per pictures attached on booking.com Very friendly staff, close to the beach and close distance to Varna if you come by car.It is a quite place, away from noise- great place to have a proper rest during holidays.
