    • We just returned from our fifth stay at this hotel, and it felt like coming home. The first time we visited was about 15 years ago, when we were living in Europe. After so many years, we decided to return—this time flying all the way from the United States—because this hotel has truly stolen our hearts. What makes it so special? First, its location in a beautiful valley full of thermal springs. The water that flows through the hotel even passes through a church before entering, giving it a kind of magical energy—you feel it everywhere: in the pools, in the showers, and beyond. The hotel itself is huge, but what we love most is the incredible spa, over 4,000 square meters in size. You can swim both indoors and outdoors, enjoy countless saunas and steam rooms, and choose from a wide variety of treatments at very reasonable prices for a five-star hotel. The activities are just as unique: poolside yoga sessions, guided hikes in breathtaking surroundings, even mushroom hunting with the hotel’s owner. One highlight is the “sauna infusion,” a special sauna ritual where aromatic oils and skillful movements of air intensify the experience—it’s unforgettable. There are plenty of quiet areas to relax and recharge throughout the hotel. The food is another reason we keep coming back. Breakfast is simply outstanding, with everything you could wish for: fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie, egg dishes, porridge, and more. In the afternoon, from 3:30 to 5:00, there’s a complimentary “sweet hour” with pastries and fruit. Dinner, though, is the real masterpiece: a multi-course experience of the highest level, leisurely enjoyed over more than an hour. Our days here are full yet perfectly balanced: morning hikes along scenic trails, afternoons at the spa, and evenings savoring exquisite dinners. We love this hotel deeply and will gladly travel from the U.S. again, because honestly—we haven’t found anything that compares.
    • Beautiful Spa Hotel, perfect food, friendly people. A few rooms are outdated but well kept.
    • The rooms are large, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing or relaxing in the spa.The wellness area is fantastic, with expansive indoor and outdoor thermal pools, numerous saunas, hammams, and a serene atmosphere. While massages are available, they are quite expensive - up to €75 for just 20 minutes.Meal service was exceptional throughout our stay. The multi-course dinners paired with a generous buffet selection offered something for every taste. We looked forward to each evening meal. The hotel ski shuttle is a huge plus - it will drop you off at any nearby ski slope and pick you up when you're done. This level of flexibility and comfort is rare and much appreciated. The afternoon snack service, which includes fresh fruit and cakes, is a lovely and delicious touch - and it’s included in the price.

    Cons -

    • Unfortunately, our arrival was marred by a disappointing policy. We reached the hotel at noon and, despite rooms being available, were asked to pay a €165 fee to check in just two hours early. This felt quite unreasonable; especially as we departed at 8am on our last day and are regular guests. While it’s understandable that early check-ins at 8am should be discouraged, a more flexible approach for midday arrivals would go a long way in enhancing the guest experience. Waiting two hours in the car with a small child was not ideal.
    • My nice stay was ruined by a terrible departure. When I left very early to make an early flight there was no one at the desk and a sign in German which I don’t speak. Later that day I received a nasty email from the booking site saying I had departed without paying violating the hotels policy. The hotel simultaneously sent me a link to pay the €44 which I promptly completed. I mean, frankly if you don’t have 24 hour desk staff, take a credit card at check in or notify guests to pay the night before departure, instead of sending emails essentially accusing me of criminal behavior and reporting this to the booking company.

Hotel Ronacher is really amazing place to spend holidays with family and dog :-),they are pet friendly hotel. Service was very profesional. Food was delicious and Mrs Simone Ronacher with her team was the best we ever met in any hotel. ( we travel a lot) Specially Nikolett. She was perfect. Her attitude, her service and mood was allways amazing. We enjoyed every meal because of her ? Wellnes in hotel is also very nice, many types of sauna, thermal water and their SPA treatments was amazing. I tried ayurveda masage and facial cleansing masage. I recomend to spend holidays here. You will feel special in every way. I also apreciate personal atitude, small personal notes in the room and profesional attitude of every staff which work here. Thank you dear family Ronacher and your team, we will definitely come back again.

Truly 5-star hotel. Overwhelming offer of spa services. Extensive infrastructure makes it a very attractive spot for business meetings and conferences.

    10MarlonPosted on: 1-13-2025

The spa area is absolutely exceptional, the gym is fantastic, and the entire property exudes warmth and care, making you feel truly at home. Simone (Frau Ronacher) added a personal touch by greeting us in the dining area every evening, making us feel incredibly special with her charm and hospitality. We are already looking forward to returning!

    Nice spa facilities.

Excellent and very hospitable hotel. The second time I stayed there and celebrated my birthday here. Staff’s care and goodwill towards guests makes the stay in the hotel very pleasant and unforgettable.

    Breakfast is amazing

Booked the executive room, and with the expensive room you expect everything to be perfect. However no batteries in tv remotes, pool on the roof to cold (fixed after 1 night) seating in restaurant all the way in the end and no spa slippers present.

    9KatharinaPosted on: 9-23-2024

Check in was stand out - excellent staff at reception made us feel welcome immediately. The saunas and pools were fabulous, all surrounded by cosy, warm and inviting relax areas. The food, from breakfast through afternoon cakes to dinner, were superb - we loved the veggie / vegan options. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious.

Access to the property via public transport is a little tricky - they do offer paid shuttle services which are reasonably priced, however, a free shuttle service to the nearest train station would have been ideal.

We love the thermal pool and sauna facility. The room is and hotel every where are very clean. The restaurant half boarding is a bit disappointing. Food isn’t good, and staff there might be seasonal and not seem to be happy

Staff and food in restaurant are not 5 star not even 4 star

    9AmirPosted on: 8-4-2024

It is a top notch destination facilities and food was great very well run and recommended

The only issue is that there is no AC in the rooms. When we were staying it was no issue and we slept with the terrace door tilted but it could be an issue in hot days

That's a family hotel owned for more than 100 years. One can feel and appreciate the family care for the concept. Everything is very nice, and it feels like a real 5-star hotel: the atmosphere, the rooms, the view, food, and the spa. Pets are also very welcome with a small present. The summer fresh mountain air and peaceful nature make one feel relaxed and happy.

Great SPA, nice room, good hotel

I found breakfast mediocre and overpriced. But this is offset by other benefits.

    9RenePosted on: 1-22-2024

Warm Welcome with a glass of Prosecco. Nice room. Excellent Spa Facilities, professional staff at Spa for treatments. Great choice and quality of Food.

Some of the restaurant staff were not up to the standards, especially around the Xmas dinner. Had no clue what they were doing. Should not happen at such a hotel.

    8BrankoPosted on: 7-23-2023

The hotel is first rate. It is in a great location, it is sparkling clean, offers fantastic food and supreme service. It is a super place to relax and unwind and we enjoyed it.

There are a few things you should be aware of, although quite acceptable by the locals we ‘merikans might not be used to.The highly advertised healing thermal water pools along with the special saunas (one of the reasons why I booked this hotel) are in a separate area to be enjoyed only by the “Nature lovers” (read nudists). For shy people like me and my wife it is off limits. The hotel is not air conditioned. This part of Austria is usually cool even in the summer but with the global warming upon us this is no longer the case. The day we arrived the outside temperature was 33.5C (93F). On our room balcony it was 32C (90F) and the room was uncomfortably warm. The outside cools down at night so sleeping with the door wide open is a must. Another problem is that the only cover on the bed is the very warm goose-down comforter. My solution was to strip the comforter and use only the comforter cover as the cover up.And finally, the TV has nearly 150 channels but the only station in English is the French news channel.

    9AnamarijaPosted on: 2-26-2023

Stayed at Ronacher many times before and definitely planning to stay again.Pool area is wonderful.Hotel is very clean, staff polite and helpful.Place is lovely and non pretentious.

At some moments young staff seemed overwhelmed with everything.Lack of choice for vegetarians. Vegetarian meals for dinner are boring, too greasy and not so tasty.

    9KsenijaPosted on: 1-30-2023

The food was amazing . I like the majority of food and the fact that whole food was organic, fresh from local farm and the hotel garden.

The view from the room was amazing, the staff was very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable only we didn’t like the pillows.
