- We had a great stay. The view was awesome from breakfast, the pool, and from our room. The place seemed to be ran very well and we would definitely like to return some day.
- The view was beautiful. The pools were beautiful and clean.
- We had an amazing stay at Villa Lubrense. Fabiola was an excellent host, and went out of her way to ensure we had a seamless experience. She gave us excellent recommendations for beaches nearby, and helped us navigate transportation to and from the villa. The location was perfectly located just outside of town, and was a perfect quiet and relaxing getaway. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Sorrento!
Cons -
- The location might be trouble for some to get around if you plan on leaving. Decent walk to public transit and a good climb back from the beaches. This is likely to be the case at most places in the area though, and was not really a big deal to us.
- The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable
- Wi-fi and even 5g does not work good in bungalows

Extremely helpful staff. Food was delicious. The views are amazing.
The view! The staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful, especially Fabiola
Wi-fi and even 5g does not work good in bungalows
The site offers breathtaking scenic views on the Napoli bay area. We used the pool a lot, divided into two practical levels. We had a chalet, which offered exactly what we needed for a cozy stay. The site infrastructures are a little aging but still confortable. The staff was very welcoming.
The views, the staff was always helpful. Great pool and restaurant on site. There is a great restaurant up the street !
Tiny showers, we did not fit! There is a super steep hill you have to go up and down to come into the hotel. It is not possible to climb up with multiple bags. Cabs are expensive here since its out of the city, and there is not much around, this is great for relaxing but not if you are trying to do alot of activities.
The breakfast was great and the views were fantastic.
The shower stalls were too small and no soap holders.
The pool and pool bar were delightful! The staff were also really really nice
Whatever you do, avoid the “bungalow” if you can. We paid a lot to have a cabin style room really far away from the pool, restaurant and town. It also had no air con in the bedroom, no wifi, no cell service, spiders everywhere and a bathroom door that didn’t shut
Incredible views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius from anywhere on the property, conveniently just outside Sorento, very peaceful. Staff was exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. Breakfast had very good options.
Rooms are a bit old, but everything worked and was very clean, wifi was weak.
Huge hotel with bar, restaurant and MASSIVE pool which all has unreal views. We stayed in the bungalows and woke in the morning to a view of Mt Vuvsuvis which was to die for. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating to us. One morning we missed our bus to get to a boat tour for Capri and the staff organised a emergency taxi for us! Fabiola also dropped us in the centre on our departure day which made it stress free. The food at the hotel was delicious and they catered for my vegan friend which was so lovely of them. We also managed to spend a bit of time by the pool which was lush! The staff were always friendly and happy to provide recommendations and have a chat with us which made us feel so comfortable and safe. The rooms were clean and a lot bigger than we expected! We wish we stayed longer! We will be back!
the location and the views are amazing only 10 mins bus drive into sorrento
the rooms are out dated and the shower is really small
Bad
No facilities no bar no restaurant over charged should have being 333 charged 367 and 9 e arrived late no where to get cup of tea breakfast nice small box room bathroom needs attention old rundown John reception did his best for us not suitable for any one disability taxi 4 km 50e
Villaggio Villa Lubrense is very well kept and peaceful and quiet and has AMAZING views of the coast from the gardens to the terrace of the restaurant and the pool (bartender was very nice) and there is also a private beach. This property in particular is very close to some wonderful beaches and locations. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check-out late when we had a late transfer to Naples airport - something we really appreciated. They were always available to answer questions and requests and we would love to thank them for a really memorable time in Sorrento!
For what you pay the price of the bungalow is more than acceptable, it is very basic and we are by no means looking for luxury but the mattresses are not particularly comfortable. The bathroom is also very small. It is great to have a kitchen, but again the equipment was very basic and some things such as sponges, washing up liquid, and bin bags could be included to make the stay easier. The walk from the entrance of the property to the bus stop is quite dangerous as it is on a narrow road - would highly recommend renting a car or scooter during your stay
The views were spectacular from the restaurant and pool. Pools were amazing and Alessandro made a great Limoncello Spritz.
The "Bungalow" wasn't as described/pictured, very basic, cabin like which you had to clean with your own products when finished. They charged for linen changes, none of this was mentioned until after we booked, then it came up, plus 5 euros for each pool towel. The bathroom had a bad smell, one of the bedside lamps didn't work, the shutter in the kitchenette's lock was broken so couldn't be opened and the sink plug was missing. As international travellers we don't carry our own linen, towels and/or cleaning products.
The staff very cooperative and polite The view and location The swimming pool Many places to sit in the garden Breakfast is good The restaurant in the evening
The room is very basic. We had to ask for cattle to boil water
The hotel have a good view and staff is very friendly and responsive.
The facility should be improved. There is no water supply for about 2 nights during our stays. It is a big issue !! But gratitude to the staff that tried to help us with smelling buckets of water. Another issue is the internet connection, there is no Wifi in your room and the mobile data isn’t working due to the lack of signal. You have to go to the reception or the restaurant area to use internet..
The view was spectacular! The pool area with the nice breeze is really beautiful, and the service was superb. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late but they kept the kitchen open for us so that we could have dinner. Also nice location just outside Massa Lubrense for easy shopping, and perfect for day trips to the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts
I recommend that you bring a couple of knives and a chopping board as well as a wine opener and tea towels, the kitchen in the Bungalow was sparsely equipped
Love the view the location was incredible beautiful. Pool area was nice could have been cooler hehe it was very hot.. only negative could not get WiFi in our rooms. also suggestion when they do come and clean the rooms they should leave a bottle of fresh water daily that would be nice as there is no where to get water. Other than that it was a great place good value for money. They also had a great breakfast European style but they had eggs :) that was very nice. Highly recommend this place If you are visiting Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.
No WiFi in our rooms had to step outside to get WiFi .
Location was good- bus stop right outside which came regularly. Close to the beach, amazing views. Lady helped us with our suitcases up the massive hill on the last day which was nice. Clean and basic room, get what you pay for. I'd go back simply for the location and the fact that it has a pool.
Staff did not explain when the restaurant was open and closed. We did not get to eat at the restaurant on our stay as there were functions on nearly every day. Apart from breakfast which starts at 8am which I found really late. The receptionist said that we could eat one day then later found out we could not so had to quickly get changed and on the bus into Sorrento for food, as there is nothing else near by. On check in they handed us a bunch of keys and did not explain what any of them were for- later found out that one was a key to the private entrance of the beach (found out 3 days into the stay). Grateful for them organising us a taxi from airport to the hotel as we needed a late check in however it was very over priced and felt pressured into this because they don't allow late check ins usually. There are lots of reviews about all the staff being friendly however we did not find this at all, they did not go out their way to speak to us. But the barman was friendly- I think they care more about their functions than their guests.
