Gocce Di Capri Resort

The view was great. Was away from all the hustle and bustle. Very quiet!

VERY small shower! No wash clothes provided, but found out this is very typical of Italy lodging.

The views as to die for!!!

Did not provide me with a key for the parking gate

The view is amazing looking at Capri. The pool is nice and spacious also with an amazing view. The location is up in the mountain and a bit of a journey to get to, but once there, being higher up is what allows the views to unfold. All of the staff went above and beyond to facilitate any needs. Using WhatsApp to communicate was very convenient as well.

Parking is a bit difficult due to the size and angles of the parking lot. Larger vehicles would need to park on the road. The property has stairs and sidewalks that have step downs that make it a bit difficult to haul heavy luggage into some parts of the property. Toiletries were a bit simple-bar of hand soap, lotion, and body wash; no shampoo or conditioner or other typical hotel toiletries.

The staff were incredible, warm, friendly and extremely helpful.

For me it was perfect as is.

The location is breath taking! The staff are exceptional and the hospitality is impeccable. The sunset here is pure magic over Capri and Ischia

It was quite difficult to get to and from. Taxis were expensive (at least 80 euros from Sorrento) but the hotel staff were fantastic at finding restaurants that had free shuttles for us.

Views are amazing . Property was lovely. Outside space was great. Beds comfortable & bathrooms modern. Freshly decorated and excellent place.

Kitchen not very well equipped - eg needed more utensils & would be nice to have a welcome pack of a little coffee/tea/milkRestaurant was overpriced

Quite isolated. The rooms were dated & sparsely decorated, had to pay extra for housekeeping, not enough towels & had to pay for pool towels. For quite an expensive stay I think housekeeping, pool towels etc should be included.

No daily room service unless you paid extra for it. Had to pay for pool towels. Only 2 set of towels left in the ‘apartment’ extra’s would have been nice. The apartments were a little dated & felt a little grubby. Location Was quite isolated & the bus services was sporadic. Drivers were offered & used but very expensive from that locale. A bus schedule provided would have been helpful, but private drivers were encouraged more so.

We had an amazing view of Capri! There were 3 of us in the 2/2 and there was plenty of room. The first room was small with 2 twin beds and there was a queen in the master. We enjoyed wine on our lovely patio and view. The host had reached out to me (Maria?) on WhatsApp and communicated check in which was great since we had to drive and arrived late. She was always available if we had any questions and was an amazing host. The restaurant had yummy food! We did not use the pool but it looked very relaxing. They offer Vespa rentals and parking was free.

The kitchen stove didn't work and we couldn't find the coffee maker. When we did find it (french press kettle thing) we didn't know we needed to bring our own coffee and salt/pepper/etc. So we didn't cook much. There were also some ants in certain places in the whole house. There was a security camera on our rental the whole time which was sort of weird. It was a bit of a drive to access a beach.

Location, the pool, the view, the staff, the food, all so good.

(First world problems) the wifi was not working in the rooms.

Helpful staff, upgraded us to room with a view, great breakfast - we ate on patio next to breakfast area. Nice view of Capri. Clean and comfortable.

It is a 25 minute winding hilly drive from Sorrento center, kind of rough narrow roads

The reception host was welcoming and helpful making a recommendation for a tour of Pompeii and Path of the Gods. The suite was spacious with a beautiful view of Capri. The pool was a wonderful amenity, very relaxing. Cocktails and dinner were delicious and the service was impeccable.

We did not like leaving and how short our stay was.

Beautiful resort, amazing sunset, very high quality, tasty and excellent value food at the restaurant! All the staff at the property - Mike, Joanna, Andrea, both Tony - provide excellent service! We are very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay here again if we visit Sorrento again.

Location is amazing (seeview everywhere and facing the island of Capri). Staff was charming. Food was excelent (the hotel restaurant was maybe the best we have experienced during our trip). We had an appartment with seeview. It was clean and confortable.

It would have been great if both rooms had seeview but this was not a problem. We did not use the kitchen / living room nor the terrasse so we would have been better with a smaller appartment having 2 rooms facing the sea !

The staff went above and beyond to celebrate our honeymoon. The apartment was a decent size and clean. The restaurant was okay but we thought some of our meals could have been better. The boat tour which included hotel pickup and drop off to Capri was really good for €65 per person + €5 tax per person (cash). Shame the Blue Grotto was closed (didnt know untilwe got to Capri). The views of Capri from the resort were beautiful and probably the best in the Sorrento area. The pool area would be awesome in summer. Highly recommend organising private transfers from the resort to the airport through reception, made our departure very smooth and stress free (€170 cash).

We didn't think much of the breakfast and became very repetitive. The shower was ridiculously small. The other guests were extremely inconsiderate and loud until 2am, the walls are very thin and you can other peoples toilets flush. The location was a let down because the public transport was a joke. The timetables are all wrong. There was one bus that left Termini (a 5 minute walk from the resort) at 10:35am and it took 1hr to get to Sorrento. The only bus that left Sorrento back to Termini was at 4:20pm, we waited hours at the station because the timetables/busses were inconsistent and the bus drivers were rude to anyone who asked questions- there was no infomation for hundreds of people trying to catch a bus anywhere. It cost us €90 to get a taxi from Sorrento bus station to the resort. We were estimated €200 to get a taxi to Amalfi. The bus from Sorrento to Amalfi (after waiting in line for 1.5hrs), took approximately 2hrs for €3.50 per person and the bus. Buy the bus tickets in the cafe near the bus station in Sorrento or the tabaco shop in Termini. Due to the location, it made going sightseeing extremely difficult and we wasted a lot of our holiday waiting around for busses.

Staff is kind.

It is too far from everywhere and is isolated from tourist areas.The room is very small even though they will upgrade it. The bathroom is very uncofortable.

Only thing I liked the room or apartment cause it had a nice view from the front entrance.

The fact that this property was posted as being in Sorrento and we were very from there. Thank God we had a rental. This post is very misleading. The property didn’t even leave as a curtesy coffee or tea for our stay. There are no store or anywhere to purchase if needed. The hotel charged us €1.00 per tea bag, ridiculous price. I would not recommend this place to friends if traveling to Sorrento.

The location is interiro and far from everything, but has great views

Lack of affordable transport in the area; its very expensive to get a taxi. Secondly, I was staying alone and I remember one of the waiters trying to make advances on me, offering me free wine that we could take in the room and obviously i said no. I would say if staying here alone as a woman, be careful. The manager of the hotel was a great person, and most of the waiters were just one bad character.
