    Pros +

    • This hotel was a great place to stay while we explored the region around Begur. The decor is rustic and welcoming. The gentleman at the reception desk who is also the owner was incredibly kind and offered much advice on places to see around the area. this hotel is a small family business and the love and care is evident in every detail. it was so cozy, I almost felt as though I were staying in a friend's home. Breakfast was in a lovely dining room, and offered many options.
    • Uniqueness and old architecture, beautifully preserved, restored with modern updated rooms
    • The location of the hotel, whilst not in the town centre of Begur, is an 8 minute walk to town where you will find a vibrant atmosphere, with quaint boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and beautiful views of the coast and an amazing sunset. If coming in from Barcelona by bus, it is an 8 minute walk to the hotel from the bus stop. There's a big supermarket just about 4 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are big,and beddings, and pillows are of excellent quality. The bathroom is big with complete toiletries. The small fridge is stocked with drinks. Our room had a big terrace overlooking the road. Breakfast was excellent with fruits, croissants, pastries, breads, sausages, eggs, cereals, juices, coffee etc and the meal area had a beautiful and peaceful view of the mountains! This is a family run hotel with the most charming and hospitable service from the owners Miguel and wife Joanna. The service crew are all very accommodating and all have a pleasant disposition.

    Cons -

    • The only drawback to this stay is that our room was on the side of the hotel closest to the road, so we heard every motorcycle that felt the need to race by in the middle of the night.
    • I cant think of anything i didn't like. Ask for a higher floor facing the mountains.
    • But bathroom door is made of glass, doesn’t seem suitable for a family room. There’s no privacy.

Installations are great and location is convenient if you are with a car

But bathroom door is made of glass, doesn’t seem suitable for a family room. There’s no privacy.

It was a lovely, very stylish room. I really like the clean, minimal and traditional feel to the hotel. The staff could not have been nicer from reception to dinner. Lovely vibe to the hotel. I didn't get a chance to use any of the facilities but I will be back for sure.

It was comfortable and the staff were welcoming, the location is great.

Hospitality was superb, the view from the balcony wonderful. Nothing was too much from the proprietor to suggest places to visit in the area.

    Could not find a thing.

Everything was very good nothing to complain

A beautiful hotel, with amazing rooms. I can't fault the customer service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, all of the staff were friendly and curtious, and nothing was to much trouble.

The only fault I found was that the WiFi was unreliable in our room.

Beautiful hotel, room was small but very cosy. Super comfy bed and nice shower. Very friendly staff.

Great hotel with calid vibe. They did a free upgrade to a room with nice views. Staff was very helpful. Value for money (although outside of peak season) was good.

I would say the breakfast could be improved and could be a bit more rooted in the Catalan cuisine.

Hotel Mas Comangau was the highlight of our stay. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and our meals were outstanding. The best meals we had while in Spain were found here. We chose breakfast with our stay and it was exceptional--a lot of choices to choose from for the buffet. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. We did not have much of a view being on the first floor, but we did not stay long in our room. The hotel is within walking distance to Begur old quarter, which was nice not having to deal with parking. We used the hotel as a base to travel in the surrounding areas. We parked for free at one of a few spots at the hotel. The hotel and restaurant staff were helpful and attentive. We stayed here for 4 nights.

Lovely rustic vibe. Very quaint. Big room and outside seating. Great choice of breakfast

Location.. usually stay in centre of venue so the uphill walk every evening was bit of a downfall.

Perfect little gem right in Begur. Rooms were very large and so comfortable. The large terrace was a perfect place to relaxing after touring around. We drove to the main part of town as the walk was very hilly but it was a short 2 min drive and parking was never a problem (we came in October) All of the staff was phenomenal! We were sad to leave, would love to stay here again!

    We loved everything

This place is a gem, if you get a chance to stay here it's highly recommended. The sunset views are amazing, staff are super friendly. We ate in the restaurant the first night, also highly recommended, great food and really efficient service.

A beautiful building with lovely facilities and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. A short walk into Begur and easy to get buses or walk to beaches.

Our room faced onto the road do it was more comfortable to use the outdoor seating area elsewhere in the building.

    10LawrencePosted on: 9-30-2024

Everything. Superb in every respect. It was like staying in a private house although the facilities resembled a larger property. The owner, Miguel, with his son (also Miguel) provided exceptional personalised attention. Breakfast was excellent, as was lunch in the dining room with its extensive mountain views. Will definitely return.

The WiFi gave a few problems, but that was the only negative.

    8PhiipPosted on: 9-27-2024

Breakfast was good, room view, we didn’t have one. Room was small and a lacked light.

The room and the lack of light. It was small but we were told that before booking

    8CharlesPosted on: 9-2-2024

Location was great. Easy to walk into town 5min, for food, drinks and shopping! Also nice and easy to get in and out of town when heading to the beach or other day trips, plus there is free parking on the street right outside the hotel
