    Cons -

    • We stayed at El Petit Convent, booking 4 rooms, with only one including breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast service experience completely ruined what could have been a pleasant stay.On our first morning, we arrived 15 minutes before breakfast ended and politely asked if we could still have breakfast. We helped ourselves respectfully, and everything seemed fine. Later that day, the reception team — always friendly and professional — asked if we would be having breakfast the next day so they could plan accordingly, which made sense. At that point, we honestly didn’t know yet as our plans were not confirmed. On that first morning, we paid separately for the family members whose room did not include breakfast, as expected. However, on our last morning, when we decided to have breakfast, the lady in charge treated us with open rudeness and suspicion. Despite clearly explaining that two family members had already had breakfast earlier and paid for it, and that our room — the only one with breakfast included — hadn’t even used it yet, she kept questioning us, repeatedly asking why we hadn’t “said anything the previous day,” as if changing plans were something to be ashamed of. She even went to check with reception if we were “allowed” to have breakfast, making us waste time and feel uncomfortable, almost as if we were trying to sneak in.To make it worse, she claimed they might not have enough food — which was simply absurd, considering breakfast was still open for another 20 minutes, the buffet was fully stocked, and we were the only guests there.Frankly, if they expect guests to book breakfast in advance, they should state it clearly on their website or when checking in — not interrogate guests as if they’re trying to get away with something. We left immediately and had breakfast elsewhere. As a side note, our rooms were not cleaned the previous day, further proof of poor organization.
    • Nothing!
    • It’s very far away from the beach. It’s literally in an area where there is nothing to really do and public transport is extremely bad. Taxis are extremely expensive so the only way to really get around is to walk or hire a car. There is no parking at the hotel so you would have to park a long way away and walk anyway. It’s just a very tiresome holiday experience. The area of Begur itself is good. But it’s not for people who want an easy travel experience. There’s a lot of extra stuff to think about coming to begur and staying at this hotel. Also, the restaurants surrounding the hotel are exceptionally expensive cause they know it’s a tourist area. There are no small shops with cheap items. There’s a spar, but operating hours over weekends are so bad. The hotel doesn’t serve lunch or dinner either so you’re forced to eat at the surrounding restaurants as well. The area itself is just very expensive all round. Not very worth a holiday experience. It’s more like a day trip from Barcelona if you really want to just see the town.

The hotel is really focused on guest service quality and experience. So many positive details. Very clean, amazing and friendly engagement, lovely space, great breakfast. Even the shower water pressure is amazing! The location is perfect very close to the centre of town but not so close as you hear any noise. Free car park 200m away. Can't fault it. The test is whether we would go again, and it's a big yes. Thanks to the team - we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a very minor issue that was immediately resolved - the bed pillows were a little too high and firm for us, and they replaced with a 'normal' pillow that was perfect and improved our comfort. No fuss, they just fixed it straight away. Great stuff.

Central location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast plus tea/coffee available all day.

We thought the bedroom was rather bland and corporate in contrast to the charming and historic dining room and lounge.

Lovely location. Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff. A beautiful building with lots of character. We will definitely come back.

Modern, very clean, and comortable. Excellent shower and reversible heating/aircon. Good breakfast and friendly staff (morning only; no staff on site after 1500. No problem as you are encouraged to help yourself to coffee etc.)

The property is in central Begur, which is very largely closed in December. But we found two places open serving decent tapas etc. and the sun shone for all three days. No complaints.

Comfortable, clean, quiet, modern room. Very easy walking distance to town center with exceptional service and nice breakfast. The common area was very nice with accommodation for coffee and drinks at all times. Close to everything you'd want to do in this area.

There was nothing we did not like! A tiny bit tricky to find due to nav challenges but well worth the effort.

    10JessicaPosted on: 10-7-2024

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was really good because you are in the middle of the old city and can walk around to restaurants and shops.

Superb little boutique hotel in the centre of Begur. Converted from an old building but light and spacious with friendly helpful staff. Snacks available free all day. One of the nicest places we have stayed in in a long time.no

Hard to think of anything wrong with El Petit Convent. Even the parking is j7st five minutes away.

staff were wonderful, room very good and breakfast was very good.

    9FlorinaPosted on: 9-20-2024

Breakfast was fantastic, the best I've had so far at a hotel, same about the staff, extremely helpful, kind, but also authentic and nice to speak with

There was an interesting smell at times, but most of the times it was a fantastic smell

    10DarrenPosted on: 9-18-2024

Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Stunning interior in reception area, dining and lounge. Central location in Begur. Car park only a few minutes walk away. Very happy with my stay, will return.

    7JamesPosted on: 9-17-2024

Clean and modern hotel. Very friendly staff good location of staying in begur.

No iron and the aircon was very loud and didn’t cool the room down well.

    10AlanPosted on: 9-17-2024

A lovely little hotel in a quiet street near to the village centre, with dozens of bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable communal areas that could be used during the day or evening. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular, Simone on reception went above and beyond whenever we needed help or information. We will definitely stay here again should we return to Begur.

    9SigalPosted on: 9-14-2024

It’s a very recommended boutique hotel. It is located in the central of Begur. Very good breakfast. Clean, nice and big room and the team was very helpful.

    10JohnPosted on: 9-12-2024

A beautifully created space with historically kept elements. The room was large and clean with a huge walk in shower. An additional cost breakfast but worth the money for a huge and fresh selection of food. Too many other additions to mention free for guests. Staff are amazing. Can't say enough. Stop reading and book!

    9EmilyPosted on: 8-26-2024

Location was excellent. Begur is small and walkable as is but this hotel is located on a quiet street near the center of the town. It was stylish and clean. Breakfast was buffet style with many options and great coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and refreshed daily, clean drinking water provided in room by staff.

Room was a bit small. There wasn’t much room to move around the bed.
