Very beautiful and clean. Location was very peaceful and pleasant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious.

An authentic and quaint hotel in the lovely town of Imerovigli. The brothers who run this and the restaurant know what they’re doing. Concierge checked on us everyday and offered to help with so many of our plans. The restaurant was delicious and had really rare wine we never thought we’d find again!

Staff was extremely attentive. Helping carry heavy luggage up the stairs was amazing. Full Breakfast delivered daily to the room was luxurious.

Fantastic place with incredible views towards the caldera. Breakfast is served on the table in front of the room, so you can enjoy the morning sun. Staff is very professional, paying attention to the needs of each guest. Imerovigli itself is less busy than Thira or Oia, it has plenty of good restaurants and still within walking distance from Thira (40 min walk). Would have definitely loved to extend my stay

Excellent location within walking distance to Fira and still away from the most crowded areas. Lots of restaurant options nearby. Spacious rooms with sea view as well as sunset view. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We took the hotel transportation option which made it easy to find the hotel and also got help in carrying suitcases up to the rooms, which otherwise may have been challenging. Michael at the reception was very helpful with suggestions on activities and restaurants etc.

Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. While having it served in the rooms is convenient, it leads to the food getting a bit cold. The water in Santorini is not potable, so one needs to stock up on mineral water bottles.

I cannot see staying anywhere else in the Imegoviglia area-- it is so perfectly situated to walk to Fira and access restaurants and the views were phenomenal. The service that Michael provides is beyong 5 star-- he is simply amazing and you will feel so taken care of.

We booked the honeymoon suite and were simply blown away by the room and the views. The staff were amazing and attentive, providing recommendations for excursions and dinner locations. Can't rate this venue highly enough.

It was quiet. It had beautiful views. There was excellent service. The icing on the cake was the breakfast on the veranda.

The location in Imerovigli is absolutely perfect for exploring Santorini with fewer crowds. The bistro was excellent, the best meals we had on Santorini, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Loved!

The location and views were beyond our wildest expectations ! Our suite had our own plunge pool/jacuzzi and terrace with a spacious living area and separate bedroom. This was the best hotel out of the 15 hotels in our 35 day trip ! Besides the beautiful accommodations and room service breakfast to order, the service was superb! Michael and all the staff were so friendly and always ready to help with anything we requested. Santorini is a dream vacation and we will definitely be back at Altana Suites ! Thank you

Unbelievably beautiful hotel with untouchable views. All staff were incredible - so welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely want your stay to be as amazing as possible. Imerovigli was so quiet and peaceful compared to overcrowded Oia and Fira - I would not stay anywhere else if come back.

Our stay in Imerovigli was wonderful. The food was delicious, and the landscape was stunning. The hotel had an incredible view, the breakfast was very good, the pool was great, and the staff service was excellent. Even though we had an issue with our room reservation, the staff handled it in the best possible way and solved it quickly. The restaurants recommended by the hotel were also very good. I highly recommend renting a quad or scooter to explore the island — it’s very practical and easy to park.

The water at the hotel was a bit saline (which I believe is common in many parts of the island). Because the houses are white, they reflect the sunlight a lot, which makes the heat feel even stronger—this is not really a disadvantage, but something to be prepared for. The stairs also make accessibility a bit tricky, which is expected in Santorini, so I recommend traveling with light luggage to avoid difficulties on the way to the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel offers a luggage carrying service, which is very helpful.

Words can't describe what a wonderful stay we had here! Everyone we encountered here was very kind. They assisted with transportation to and from our previous location and provided plenty of local recommendations, especially the Skaros Rock and Cave Church recommendation that we would likely have missed if they didn't suggest it! There were two air conditioners that kept the room very comfortable during the September heat. The views can't be beat, it was really an amazing experience relaxing in the plunge pool with the blue dome views. We were able to order dinner as room service and watch the sunset right from our private porch. It was certainly a once in a lifetime experience and I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting imerovigli/Santorini.

Great location on the caldera. Room was comfortable and clean.

The balcony was on a separate level. The pool on a separate level again. Hence lots of walking up and down steps.

Loved the location. Great views and picture spots. The property is beautiful and well decorated. The staff are very considerate and helpful with their recommendations. Customizable breakfast and good selection.

Our room (junior cave suite) had a comfy day bed with a great view. One draw back is it’s located right next to the reception/ lobby outdoor area. Other guests, bar/bistro patrons use the area for photos/ sit down area for drinks and the public bathroom there. We once had to ask someone to vacate from our day bed as they thought it was part of the public space. Choose a different room if privacy is a priority for your stay.

Everything was amazing, from the outside design to the interior space, the views and the cleanliness. The staff was very helpful, professional and available. There were great selections for breakfast that could be enjoyed with the breathtaking views. It was hard to leave to go sightseeing

The staff, the room, the restaurant and all the amenities were fantastic! This hotel was recommended to me, and I have since recommended it to others. The hotel staff was very welcoming, the location was fantastic, the restaurant was delicious, and my room was beyond comfortable with amazing views of the caldera.

Nothing - the Altana had everything I needed, and there wasn't a single part of it I didn't like.

We arrived in Santorini and told our cab driver our hotel, he immediately said, "You're staying at the best hotel in Imerovigli." He was absolutely right.Altana is stunning. The rooms are beautiful and well-equipped, the views of the caldera are breathtaking, and the pool at sunset is unforgettable. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, and the location is ideal for the scenic hike to both Oia and Fira.If you’re debating between staying in Fira or Oia, stop searching. Altana’s location offers the best of both worlds: close access to each without the crowds and noise.But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff. Michael, Mario, and Kristos went above and beyond, from arranging tours and taxis to offering honest local tips and helping when my friend developed a sun allergy. Kristos hosted a wonderful private wine tasting, Dimitrius made the best cocktails, and Michael and Mario were complete professionals throughout.On the day we were supposed to leave, all ferries were canceled. The team was incredibly kind and quickly arranged for us to stay an extra night-no stress, no hassle, just pure hospitality.I’ve traveled to over 50 countries, and this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
