- A slice of paradise in Santorini!Absolutely magical stay—charming architecture, peaceful surroundings, and breathtaking views of the Aegean. The staff were warm and welcoming, and every detail made it feel like a true Greek escape. Two nights weren’t enough—we’ll be dreaming of returning!
Cons -
- It’s off the beaten path and does take some effort to go to the main towns of Santorini, they did warn me to get a car but if you don’t want to get a car this isn’t the best location
- Can't think of anything!
- There was truly nothing we didn’t like—everything exceeded our expectations.

This is the cutest property, some of my best pictures of Santorini is actually of this hotel

Room was a spacious and beautiful "cavern" that stayed cool. Breakfast was excellent, staff was delightful.
Can't think of anything!
We loved the beautiful ocean view from our spotless room, the warm and friendly hospitality from the owner and staff, and the unforgettable meals made with care and fresh ingredients by the amazing chef.

This is a true hidden gem, from the property to the staff! Yvonne and Artemios take great pride in the maintenance and history of their property. It was once owned by Artemios's grandfather including the 600 year old church, St. Artemios, which Artemios is named after. The church has a plaque inside of its owners dating back to 1400. Mirsini, in reception was so attentive from the moment I emailed her months before our family of five adults arrival. She ensured our stay was perfect from site seeingrecommendations to restaurants and made us feel like family! She recommended their sunrise and it did not disappoint! We ate at the 16 room Inn for most of our 4 night stay! John the chef is an amazingly talented young man who cooked the freshest, authentic Greek meals and looked after our families needs. John and Flutura ensured we had everything we needed to order and enjoy our meals. I really miss the Aghios salad! Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and I couldn’t finish it most mornings. If you need to change your order you just to mention it. There were so many choices. Alex tended to the pool area and Angel and Christina maintained our room everyday and kept it immaculate. We stayed in unit #13 the oldest of their Traditional Cave Houses. The wifi was absolutely fine for us. We enjoyed it at all our our outdoor seating areas, under the pergola and at the pool. We could get reception sitting by our door, but they’re getting a new system in to increase usage in the units. our 2 bed, 2 bath unit was nicely appointed with mini fridge and very comfortable beds and bedding. The bathrooms had amazing large showers with great water pressure and large vanities with new fixtures. We arrived as strangers and left like family. We hope to return to this beautiful 16 room resort again with our growing family. Thank you efor a great family vacation!! Sandy from Ontario, Canada??
…that we had to leave
We have stayed with my family in this incredible hotel that looks even better than in pictures. It was dream come true with beautiful view, rooms, kindest staff, delicious meals and cocktails. Hotel allowed us to have our little wedding there and we had the best time in our lives. Made lots of memories, beautiful photos, spend time by the pool got recommended and organized boat trip and we are definitely coming back one day. ❤️ Thank you for making our wedding special ❤️
everything was perfect
BE WARNED. This property is not as advertised by Booking.com. The photos are either 30years old or photoshopped. It is run down, dirty, mold growing in the bathroom, no air conditioning, wires sticking out of the ground & stray cats everywhere. It stank of cat urine & they had been in the rooms too.
Everything, we left at check in. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by horrible buildings & refuse bins. The views are mediocre too & not visible from the rooms as it appears in the photos- you have to be out of your room in the communal area to see it-which is quite an achievement in Santorini which has some of the best views in the whole of Greece! It is THE WORST hotel I’ve visited & I’ve been to Greece many times. We easily found a beautiful place to stay in a proper traditional village for less money!! This hotel is misrepresented on booking.com & should be de-listed.
Very clean & wonderfully helpful staff. Good was excellent and great value too. The local Taxi service used by the Hotel is extremely reliable and prices are fixed. Very quiet location for a relaxing holiday by the Pool.
It’s not in a Town or Village, which means relying on local transport to get around the Island, unless you hire a Car.
Very helpful staff, hillside views for viewing sunset over ports
Breakfast is only meal available on site
Beautiful oasis ! The Bougainvillea next to the white cave rooms, entrance, pool and breakfast are stunning. The property is soo beautiful! We couldn’t stop talking photos. The breakfast was very good with sunrise view outside on terrace. Room ( superior) was very nice . Has 2 white robes and slippers. George was very responsive and helpful us with a clogged drain. Our flight came in at 6:35 am. At the hotel we were able to leave our belongings there and change at the bathroom located at the pool. She even offered us breakfast. We changed and took our rental car to explorer Marisni also helped us book a car and a second night!
Well kept, clean, beautiful buildings and rooms. Friendly staff.
Noise when other guests sitting out late at night in front of their rooms. Not the hotels fault, just thoughtless guests.
Perfect Santorini calm atmosphere, and warm and tending staff.Very nice pool with beautiful view.It is not in the main crowded areas (~10 min drive), and we loved it.
Wifi reception in the inner part of the cave-room wasn't good, but it was a good opportunity to disconnect from the phone and enjoy the atmosphere.
The place itself was hands down the most beautiful I’ve seen and stayed at. I loved the spacious cave room, the pool area and the sunrise. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, especially Mirsini. She arranged our transport from and to the port. If you want to be away from the crowds of Oia and Fira, this is the perfect paradise for you. There’s a bus stop just right below the hotel and public buses run every half an hour going to Fira and Oia.
The water from the shower just takes a little time to heat up since it’s solar powered, but also it can get really hot. They also use desalinated water since the supply is scarce on the island which is understandable. There’s really nothing that I didn’t like about the property.
I highly recommend Aghios Artemios. The property is beautiful and the entire staff is kind and extremely helpful. They are happy to help you with everything you need: arranging airport transfers to and from the hotel, rating ATVs which wait for you directly at the hotel, recommendations for restaurants, beaches or activities etc. They even helped us multiple times to make restaurant reservations where we always received the tables with the most gorgeous views! You should definitely eat at the hotel’s restaurant as well. It has delicious food and very good prices. The pool area is also great. Very nice atmosphere, pool bar and a beautiful pool. As for the location of the property, we already knew it was outside the town. Santorini is a destination where I strongly advise you to rent an ATV anyway if you want to visit the entire island, no matter what hotel you choose to stay at. Aghios Artemios couldn’t make it easier for you to rent an ATV anyway: no deposit, the ATV simply arrives at the hotel and when you finish you leave it in the parking of the hotel. We would absolutely return here. Mirsini and Yvonne thank you so much for everything and for your kindness!
This property was so beautiful, so clean and fresh and very traditional houses, our bathroom was beautiful with a beautiful pool and great staff to! Location wise- it was just outside the busy town but this was prefect for us, as you can be in the town in minutes but enjoy for private space and relaxation at this hotel too and the quite from the busy towns was very welcome after a long day exploring ! The staff and family were extremely helpful with booking quad bikes and taxis to each place & recommendations to. Would definitely return here.
Nothing!
The village-type personal photo shoot possibilities at this hotel are excellent.
The location is far from everything if you want to walk. The best way to get around is either renting a car or taking the bus. Taxis are way too expensive to take in Santorini for a 15-minute ride, and they will cost you 25 to 40 euros, depending on the season.
The look, the room and the pool!
Everything was amazing. The design of the hotel, the very fresh room inside the cave, the breakfast looking to the sea, the pool bar is opened all the day, the location, everything is 10 min away by driving, the workers of the hotel are so kind and looking for the guests interest.
