Proteas Hotel

Location of the hotel is perfect. Short distance to restaurants and the beach. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The hotel is located on a busy street and can be very noisy during weekends / late hours when trying to sleep.

This is very nice family owned hotel. Location is great. And the staff is the reason we had the best time. They are so friendly and helpfull. As we are vegans they made sure we got a special breakfast every morning. They helped with advices what to see and do around the island. And they also organized taxi ride to the airport. We felt like home as soon as we came, even though we arrived at midnight. They welcomed us very nicely. We really recommend you to choose this place for the holidays. I am sure you will not regret it.

Perfect location. Very clean throughout and new looking bathroom. Great place to stay in Kamari. The beach is just a couple of minutes down an alley across from the hotel and a great restaurant just down the road.

Lovely little hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful balcony.

It would have been nice to have better tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

My girlfriend and I are very happy of our staying at Proteas! The room was very nice and clean, with a small but lovely balcony. The shower very comfortable! Good also the breakfast. Athena and her mom are very kind and they help you in everything you need. My girlfriend and I will come back for sure if in Santorini again!

Wonderful little hotel, very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Staff were so nice and helpful, breakfast was tasty, products are always fresh, homemade cake was so delicious. Cleaning service was excellent, Thank you and fully recommend.

No pool there, but it is not a problem, sea is very close

I raccomend PROTEAS HOTEL for the position you can reach the beach in 5 minutes by feet you ve got mini market and shops every where good restaurant and the PROTEAS HOTEL STAFF Athina and her mother they are so lovely and kind!!!! It was all wonderfull thanks ATHINA Stella

I am absolutely delighted with my stay in Proteas Hotel in Santorini. Spent 4 nights in total and was pleased with everything: location and cleanliness of this cozy place, lovely breakfast and last but not least the friendly and welcoming owners. 10 out of 10

The hotel is a perfect value fof your money. It is managed by mother and daugther. They are particularly kind people and help you with everything. Even with unspoken requests. They are masters in how to make guests feel good. The rooms and in particular the showers look a lot better than on the pics.

I liked it as soon as I saw the photo of all the beautiful flowers in the front of the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.the bedrooms are lovely and bright and I liked the balcony. Great new modern bathroom and shower. the hotel is very quiet and a short walk to the beach and a very good bakery!

we have just come back from Proteas hotel in Kamari. Its a family run hotel and the two ladies ( a mother and a daughter) did everything for our stay to be awesome. We had all our questions answered, all important advice given, all our needs fulfilled Thanks both of you for your kindness and smiles as for us the quality stay is not the number of stars the property has but the kindness of people who run the place. The hotel is in the center of Kamari, just 2 min walk to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. As our room was on the second floor facing the sea we could enjoy amazing Kamari sunrises from the balcony ( and they are worth a million ) The rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day. Breakfast is simple, but always fresh and tasty.This is definitely the place for us to stay on our next time in Santorini.

The property was extremely clean and only few minutes from the beach and restaurants. The colourings in the room and launch area were relaxing. Both staff (daughter and mother) were caring, lovely, had attention to detail, and were very helpful. We really liked the breakfast, the fruits and cake cuttings the lady gave us for breakfast. We strongly recommend this place to others.

Very sweet little hotel. Excellent location with everything in walking distance - the beach, many restaurants, shops etc. I could see the sunrise from the balcony of our room with street view.

Bathroom is a bit outdated (but not bad).

This a traditional greek hotel just outside the main strip and very close to the beach. Mother and daughter run this hotel and are very helpfull. Basic breakfast but that all you need , would say the bathrooms need a little updating. Cleaned rooms and towels every day. Great value for money!!!

Staff were friendly location - very close to the beach and easy to get to Fira and Oia on local bus breakfast - I have seen some negative comments about breakfast but I really liked it. The host was very nice and cut fresh fruit every day, the bread was great!

I was initially put in a very dark room below ground level, that didn't have natural light and faced the road so I couldn't have the door open, this means I was able to spend little time resting. The room got very hot during the night (I wouldn't open the window/door facing the road as they were accessible from the road (not advisable for female solo traveller at least!). It was also very noisy at night. Pre-arrival communication - I had send a couple of messages well in advance re special requests (inc. room with light) which of course are subject to availability / up to the host, however these were never answered or rather they were answered after I had checked in...I could have booked another place had I know I would be stuck in a dark unpleasant room...In fact I had originally made a booking for a different hotel but changed for this one after seeing all the positive reviews. Eventually I was changed to a really nice room for the last night, I think my experience would have been more positive had I stayed there from the beginning... I understand that this is high season so that the hosts must have been very busy and the hotel was also full. I guess when travelling off season one may get a really nice room. I also found a band aid plaster in a towel when I arrived which made me cringe! I think when I mentioned it it was taken as a complain but really I was worried that the towels hadn't been cleaned properly especially with so many viruses going around... All in all, they were nice but my experience wasn't great.
