Alkyon Hotel

The hotel is very well-maintained, clean, and the swimming pool is nice. The room is comfortable and clean.The hotel is owned and operated by a family, everyone was very nice and friendly, provided many helpful tips. Although it is far away from Fira and Oia, and we rented a car, so it is nice and quiet, away from the big crowds. It is only 5 minute drive to Kamari village center and the black sand beach, where there are many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.Overall, we are very happy that we chose this hotel, and would highly recommend it for someone rent a car.

It is near the airport, so we can hear the noises from the airplanes. The breakfast has no hot items.

Everything was great. Staff were friendly, responsive and helpful; going above and beyond to help us organize transport, not only for our stay with them, but also our return journey (from a different island). Very high standard of cleaning. Beds were comfy and all our needs were met.

Friendly and helpfull staff, rooms were cleaned and tiedied daily. The staff helped us organize transport and even allowed us to stay longer in our rooms our last day.Breakfast and coffee was superb and its possible to have it outside on the terrasse or by the pool.You get a lot more than you paid for even comapared to luxury properties on the caldera.

The hotel is really good, the hostess is really kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, the bed is comfy. Everything is clean and smelling good.You can get 2 options of bus to Fira, the capital.The location is only perfect if you have your own transport or you are coming from the airport..Overall, it was a good experience.

It could be better if the hotel has your own transfer from the port.If you are not renting a car and you are comig from the port is not a good option, buses are kind of messy and the bus to the port you cant get it that easily.

Everything was perfect. I have to say this family run hotel was Everything and more. clean sheets , towels every day and they go above and beyond. lovely place to stay .

Everything was perfect! Small hotel, worth money. The balcony is so beautiful. They clean rooms every day, which is really pleasant. Even high star hotels don’t provide such exceptional cleaning services like this hotel. Staff were really nice and have always been ready to help us anytime we needed anything. We had a late flight and they allowed us to leave the bags in the hotel and use a shower in the evening, even though we already checked out. Highly appreciate that. I definitely would stay again, recommend this hotel

Very small bed first night- check the size before you book,it was only 130 cm but it was written and we didnt notice.

Very polite, very clean, good location.

The hotel is a great place; everything I needed was a foot away. Beach, restaurants and markets are 5 to 7 minutes away. It has great and very clean rooms with enjoyable views. The room was cleaned every day, and bedding, towels, and toiletries were changed every day. The breakfast was nice, and it had a lot of options. The owners of the place were nice, helped me with all the questions, and allowed me to leave the baggage for a bit after checkout. I definitely recommend the hotel to everyone who is about to visit Kamari! Thank you for making my short stay very pleasant and amazing.

Everything was perfect.

Family that runs is wonderful, they were so helpful. Arranged travel from and back to airport, even sent us with a little snack on our last day as we had 6am flight. Breakfast was good and hand many options, never lacked for choices to eat. Short walk to the beach. Hotel was clean and pool was beautiful and well kept.

Door for shower, as water tended to get all over bathroom. Nothing that bothered us too much and would not affect us referring hotel or staying again.

Everything was amazing, thank you very much to our hosts:- very clean - the room, the hotel, the pool, everything was always perfectly clean ?- well equipped room - mini-fridge, hair dryer, good quality towels, daily toiletries- very useful- 2 bottles of water - offered complimentary at our arrival ?- nice balcony, with a nice view to both sea and mountains - amazing pool, with nice view to the mountains - you were allowed to bring your own drinks to the pool, which was open until sunset- good diverse breakfast, available until 10 am, but actually they were very nice and they were making it available until 10.30 ?- 2 public bus stations really close to the hotel- supermarket with good prices at 5 mins walk- beach at 10 mins walk

A little far from the beach

Everything was perfectly tidy and clean! A nicely and cozy equipped room with pool view, the staff was very nice, everyone was always smiling. The breakfasts were excellent with a large selection. The beautiful pool provided a nice refreshment and you can watch the planes arriving from there. We arrived at the hotel at 11 in the evening, even if check-in was at 10 at the latest and there was no problem.
