    Pros +

    • This small family run hotel sits at the entrance to a village called Geithorn. Known as the ¿Venice of The Nederlands¿. Super cute town with an old section of houses on a series of canals. You can sign up for a tour- but our hotel rents boats or bikes.
    • Nice place to stay. Evening meal at restaurant was good. Convenient location.
    • Our family had an excellent experience at this hotel. It's very family-friendly, but it also has a gorgeous adults-only spa area, so I think everyone can be satisfied here.Thank you for providing a small blanket and a small bathrobe for our child. Our stay at this hotel, along with the hiking in the surrounding area, was a wonderful experience. We'd love to come back again and will choose this hotel!

    Cons -

    • The room itself was tiny, the bed and bathroom were uncomfortablely small. Like many European rooms. Stairs to room were steep and very narrow.
    • The walls seem a bit thin, or maybe it's the doors. We had a chat and the people in the neighboring room said that we could be heard pretty clearly.
    • Cleanliness of pool area could (should) be improved. Breakfast buffet for one adult and two small children was a bit overpriced with 52€.

There was plenty of room, the place was clean, everything was comfortable and home-y, the breakfast was really good, too.

The walls seem a bit thin, or maybe it's the doors. We had a chat and the people in the neighboring room said that we could be heard pretty clearly.

Nice modern rooms, great German breakfast, good restaurant on premises.

Nice, comfortable, newly refurbished rooms. High quality food. Swimming pool and the possibility to park for free on site.

Good location for the area where we wanted to stay. Bus from outside into the city.

Two breakfasts and both times the hot food was tepid at best. I did see them preparing fresh at intervals but the hot food was just added to the remaining colder food in the dish, so, just pot luck what you got. A no frills breakfast! Restaurant food was also mediocre.

Super comfy bed and a very nice breakfast! I would recommend this place to anyone who was travelling to the area.

The only other thing I would have appreciated was having a small refrigerator in the room.

Close to the highway, no problem to park right at the entrance, friendly reception. Room big enough if it's just to spend the night, and good beds. Good restaurant ( limited choice) with quick and friendly service, and reasonably priced.

The building is not very modern ( but maintenance on it is good). Small shower cabin. No elevator. No space for a chair by the desk.

Everything was good as we have expected it. Very friendly staff good food.

The location of the hotel was not as we expected as we thought it's a hotel with some nice big garden

Dog friendly. Good location for stop over on way to Hook of Holland ferry. Good restaurant

Tiny shower. Noisy at night due to whirring fan noises

The breakfast was okay, though there is no table service. Very German breakfast with lots of options. Some of the options were really greasy, and no one cleared our table during the 1 hr we spent at breakfast. We were there for a romantic evening, and chose this place because the rooms seemed nice on the pictures, and we wanted to have a romantic breakfast. It was okay, but I would not recommend it for romance.

The room was quite small and very hot in the summer. We had a room on the ground floor, and needed to open the window wide to get some air and let the heat escape. Felt very odd and unsafe to have the window open overnight, so we decided to tilt it and just be hot. The website said that the hotel is reachable via phone 24/7. The evening we were supposed to arrive, I tried to call to let them know we might arrive a few minutes late, and the phone was picked up, but no one answered and then they hung up. We were very stressed about whether the reservation was still going to be available, and rushed there hoping someone would be available to let us in (we arrived 5 minutes before reception closed). The bartender checked us in when we arrived, but we did not receive a bill. When I returned the keys to the hotel receptionist the next morning, I asked if anything else was needed, and she told me "no". I then expected to receive the bill online, per email, or via booking.com and never received anything. I called more than 6 times over the course of several weeks, and no one answered. The hotel canceled my reservation in Booking.com (which means I still had to pay, but couldn't leave a review), even after I repeatedly asked for them to send me the bill. Weeks later, after a lot of stress, me discussing with booking.com, and trying to pay the bill, I finally managed to pay them (which I wanted to do from day 1). Very stressful experience.

Nice and clean room with free coffee and free parking. The breakfast is nice.Staff is helpful and friendly.

The shower door can't close well.

Beds were really good. Location is quiet, breakfast lovely. I really think that the names of the floor levels are a good creative idea, room numbers nicely decorated.

The TV has lousy screen quality, we wanted to see a soccer game, but streaming quality via our tablet was significantly better than the tv screen.

    7ElainePosted on: 8-3-2024

The morning staff were extremely helpful and friendly the evening staff a little less so

There is no air conditioning in the room and with the hot weather it was uncomfortable at night

    8DenisPosted on: 7-30-2024

Perfect food and service in the restaurant!

There is no A/C in tiny rooms. Also rooms have no ventilation, thus you need to keep window open during the night, but since it face the road, car’s and plane’s noises are so loud (starting from 5:00 am), that it is impossible to sleep.
