Amazing location and staff
Room was a bit tight
Great location and friendly and helpful staff.
Hard to get in and out of bed.
Location is perfect and the rooftop has amazing views. Rooms are very small but to be expected in Tokyo. Nice to wake up and take a short walk to the temple grounds or Tokyo Skytree.
The hotel location is great! 2 mins walk from the Asakusa line (A18) exit A2a exit. (Make sure to use the elevator going up, otherwise it’s endless stairs from regular exit). The staffs are helpful and nice. It’s 7 mins walk to Kaminari Mon, and the restaurant choices are endless.
The room is very small, but I like the size of the bathroom. I stayed for 4 nights and it’s pretty quiet after hours. The beds are comfortable.
The hotel is in a convenient location, has a great rooftop and is good value for money. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I forgot an item and they were able to figure out how to get it back to me.
It was a bit tight moving around in the room with our luggage.
I really enjoyed staying in the Asakusa area. It was very easy to get around via the train, with a station close by. It was also a super walkable area, so it was nice going to Senso-ji early morning or in the evening before and after the crowds. The room and general facilities are very clean. Despite the size of the room, I liked how we had a room length desk/surface to put belongings and the bed allowed for some underbed storage. Being able to put my luggage underneath was crucial. My room also had a view of the river. I also thought the room was more modern than my stay at a Sotetsu Fresa in another part of town. The hotel staff were very accommodating with receiving luggage from forward services from the airport, and were able to hold my luggage for a few hours after check out. My friends and family also enjoyed using the roof to relax or eat. We also used the dining area during non-breakfast times. We also took advantage of the complimentary umbrellas. The staff were very kind and also helped us order taxis.
The rooms and lobby are definitely on the smaller side, which means it can get pretty crowded. The room was quite small, which I expected in Japan, but it still does take some getting used to. Luckily the room is designed so you can put your luggage underneath the bed at least, which helps to not feel so cramped. Around breakfast, the lobby can also be very crowded as everyone is leaving to start their day, other mays be checking out, and other guests are enjoying their breakfast in the dining area. It's not a big issue, but it will be busy. For breakfast, you have 3 options, so don't expect a buffet style.
Location,staffs are friendly
The rooms are very small no room to put luggage
Exceptional location on the shore of the Sumida River and at a 5 min walk fron the Sensoji Temple. Our room on the 9th floor offered a nice view of the Sumida River and the Tokyo Tower (like 2 other rooms on each floor). Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. We'll come back.
The location was good, 5 min walk to Senso Ji, The hotel has a very nice roof terrace with a marvelous view on the Sky Tree. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, They helped me to contact my flight company twice with the hotel phone, This took about one hour. It was no problem to send our four big suitcases to the hotel four days before our arrival. The hotel is situated at 100 meters from the Asakusa subway line entrance.
The rooms are very small, but this is Tokyjo.
Was clean and the staff were available 24/7 and were friendly and helpful
The staff were all excellent and always willing to help out. The location was excellent because everything we needed was in walking distance.
The room was too small for my wife and I. The beds were comfortable but you had to crawl in from the foot end which made it difficult for someone our age
The view of the room to Tokyo Skytree and the river was amazing for the price.
There wasn't enough space to open my mid-sized luggage. I guess this is the typical Japanese hotel size.
Small rooms, but clean and quiet with good air conditioning. We enjoyed the views of the sky tree from the roof terrace which was great for relaxing in the evening. Close to the metro station. Couldn't really fault it for the price.
Rooms are small, but this is the case unless you are going for a fancier hotel. Good value and did the job very well!
The location was really good for Asakusa attractions and surroundings. Nice staff and beautiful view from the rooftop.Very cozy room for one person
The size of the room... Luckily I was alone. It wouldn't have been possible to stay there with another person.Couldn't open the door if I didn't close the luggage and mine was even that big...
Friendliness of staff, cleanliness of the room and the whole hotel overall. Beautifull views from the rooftop deck overlooking Tokyo Skytree and Kitajukken River is a definite plus which really upscalled the whole atmosphere. I can't complement enough the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff at Hotel Amanek Asakusa. Hotel Amanek is within a prime goldilocks location, 15 to 40 minutes to most Tokyo attractions by foot or train. Short walk to main Asakusa Subway station.
The fact that we didn't stay longer.
This was our second stay at this hotel - so we must like it :) Great location in Asakusa. Close to temple area, metro station, boat stop, and restaurants. Small, but comfortable rooms. Very comfortable bed. Super nice roof terrace. Basic hotel, but exactly what we needed and wanted for our 3-day stay in Tokyo. We'll be back.
Nothing. Rooms are very small, but it's Tokyo :)
