ICI HOTEL Ueno Shin Okachimachi

very thin walls, super small rooms, staff did not speak english very well

I can not describe how wonderful this experience have been for my son and I starting with the comfort ability of this hotel paying attention to details to help the guests feel embraced, nurturing and comfortable. Amazing staff. Thank you???????????

We enjoyed very much the Hotel atmosphere.

Good value, clean

Location was fine, easy access to transport, but did not align with my travel style (neighborhood didn't have a lot of options for cafes/restaurants)

This hotel is truly exceptional for price. The breakfast (not included) is great and staff is friendly. It is located close to a grocery store, market, restaurants, and train station. The area around the hotel is safe.y family and I would come back to this hotel, no doubt.

Nothing. I liked nothing about this hotel. The only thing that could be liked is perhaps that it's located between UENO station and Asakusa area - 2 busy centers of gravity, so it's relatively calm around it.

We didn't like anything about this hotel, especially the breakfast which is just a sandwich buffe for the most part and not the best one. It's a mock of a hotel breakfast. They have 4 tiny tables and suggest you pack your food into a paper box and eat in your room if tables are taken. If you're with a kid, then - no corn flakes or anything similar to feed western toddler, no chicken nuggets etc. The cleaning is another problem - dust flakes looking at you from the TV frame, things left under the bed by other guests..

good location and polite and helpful staff. Many shops around to buy food and also drugstores.

Location , Cleanliness , Helpful staff.

Room was larger than we expected. Location is convenient to stations, 7-11, grocery stores, restaurants. Staff was friendly.

Clean, comfortable, good location. Nice little restaurants in the covered walkway behind the hotel

Conveniently located. It is close to the station, supermarkets, and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and spacious for Japan standards. You can do laundry in the hotel and coffee/tea available at the lobby.

Hotel is in a good location, the staff is helpful, and everything is clean.

Rooms were very small, and even though the breakfast had a good taste, for this price range I was expecting more: it is in a small, crowded corner, with just a few, very limited options.

Good size bed in double room, all very comfortable. Helpful staff, even when I lost my key. Location is fairly quiet, subway close by, easy to travel from Haneda by train, and close to Ueno Park.

Clean and very convenient location! It was also very quiet which was nice—when we were out exploring busy streets during the day, we were very glad we weren’t staying in the super busy areas. Highly recommend.

We have stayed here a total of 8 nights on the book ends of a 30 day stay in Japan. It truly does feel like home. And we're very comfortable here.

The comforters on the bed are very heavy causing us to over air-condition the room

Spacious room in comparison , even a desk to work on.

Lobby crowded

Very clean, staff is very friendly helpful, bed are very comfortable.

Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast very good. International mains sockets available. So adapters not required. Convenient location for Ueno Park and station and National museums district. Walkable to Imperial Palace.

Very clean

There’s no sofa on the lobby. Check out too early at 10:00 and check in too late at 15:00

location, ease of check in

staff not freindly

Good location next to a subway that took you to the main train station, great friendly staff, especially the cleaner! She’s the best, clean and very cosy

The laundry facilities were not very good with only one washer for the whole hotel…
