The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I also really liked the size of the room, especially compared to other similarly priced hotels in Japan.

I didn't mind the location, but it is in a fairly quiet residential location and about an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Keep that in mind if proximity to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo is important.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The check-in process was very smooth, and the staff kindly allowed us to leave our luggage since we arrived early, which we really appreciated. The room was clean and very spacious, making our stay comfortable. What I loved most is that the hotel has an elevator and is very close to Minowa Station, making it super convenient, especially when traveling with luggage. There are also many convenience stores nearby, which is a big plus. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we go back to Japan.

There was nothing to complain about. Everything met our expectations and we had a great stay.

SAILS completely met and jumped over our expectations.The rooms are spacious, you literally have two separate rooms — a kitchen and bedroom, along with a restroom and bathroom. The room had a washing machine (a saviour in Japan's hot & humid September) and all the necessary supplies, along with welcome snacks that we enjoyed a lot. The staff are the kindest and sweetest people that were always helping us with answers & recommendations. The area is quiet and extremely chill, it is perfect to unwind from busy day, whilst still being close to the subway (8min walk) and some very nice local spots. Oh, and most likely you will see Tokyo Skytree from your balcony ;)

Location to the train station is good.

There is no cabinet to put our clothes.There is no place to hang our clothes after washing.

The staff were very friendly and supportive, the location was around 7 minutes walk to Minowa station. There was a laundry machine in the room and a dryer in the bathroom. Quiet location.

The room did not have a wardrobe for clothes storage, and it was a challenge to find enough space to put our clothes without having to get them out of our suitcases each time.

It was very centralized. We walked to the Skytree, Dennys, McDonalds, Hibiya Line train station, 7/11 & Family Mart. It was nearby an Izakaya that we didnt get to try. The entry was open 24hrs and they greeted us with a smile (and they spoke English!). She told us how to use the facilities, and the toilet was easy to use ?. The washing machine was awesome! And there was enuf room for all three peoples stuff! The amenities was spectacular, and everything was clean! The staff, especially the manager Taka was very friendly, and everyone greeted us either a smile each time we went in or out of the building.

It’s spacious for a Tokyo accomodation

There is something wrong with water heater. It takes too long to heat up, and it gets cold in the middle of the shower. But the staff was responsive with our complaints so it was addressed immediately.

Staff always welcoming, knowledgeable, heloful. Neighborhood had Lawson’s nearby. Lots of towels provided in very spacious and clean room. Elevator in building.

Noticed a little bit of dust on the ledge above the bed. Also the slippers provided were super thin.

Our family of 4 adults LOVED Hotel Sails! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the suite was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the little snacks on the kitchen table and the morning coffee in the lobby. This hotel is on a quiet side street in the Minowa area with an all-important 7-11 store nearby. Special shout out to the morning clerk who went above and beyond to help us plan our route to Tokyo Station! We would happily stay here again.

We liked everything about it. It’s not centrally located, and there aren’t a ton of restaurants in the immediate area, but that was fine with us as we wanted a neighbourhood that was quiet. It was still easy to get to the bus/ subway which took us to where we wanted to go in Tokyo.

A bit of a walk from the subway station, but that was no problem at all for us.Just something to be aware of if you have young children or are travelling with seniors.Then again, if you are travelling to Japan, you know you are going to be walking a lot, so should not be an issue.We actually didn't mind getting in the extra steps!

It’s quiet and on a side road that still has a bit of food and right near the bus stations. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful!

The room just needed a a bit more of a thorough cleaning and inspection.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful. On our first day, the lady even showed us how to get to Asakusa by bus, which was great since the trains were mostly packed during the day. They also helped us forward our luggage to the next location. We just gave them the details needed and they took care of the rest. The room came with free Japanese snacks that we tried immediately. The room is very clean and its very quiet at night. It is also equipped with a washer and we were able to do our laundry during our stay. I think the room size is just right. There is plenty of room to open and pack your luggage.Location is good. It's about 6-8 min. walk to Minowa Station.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

I don't have any complaints myself. Location might be an issue for visitors wanting to be within the major hubs of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, etc.) Transportation isn't an issue. It just takes longer to get there.

Easy check in, friendly staff. Was a good location, slippers, and pajamas in the room.

There’s a balcony, but you can’t smoke on it, I don’t know why if you’re outside who cares if you smoke. Also, there’s no chairs on the balcony so you can’t even sit. There is a washing machine, but no dryer supposedly in the bathroom you can dry your clothes, but it doesn’t work very well. We ended up putting it on the balcony.

Very quiet property close to transport and situated in a sleepy but beautiful part of Asakusa. The staff were amazing and we were thoroughly impressed with the level of service in all aspects

Charming and efficient little hotel! Hotel Sails is a cute, compact space with a smart and thoughtful layout—everything you need without feeling cramped.The staff were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond, even helping us ship our luggage ahead to our hotel in Osaka, which was a huge help.The location is a bit off the typical tourist path, but still very accessible. Minowa Station is just a 5–7 minute walk, and it’s easy to catch a train or bus to get wherever you need to go.if you’re looking for a peaceful and quieter Tokyo neighborhood, Hotel Sails is a lovely option.

the beds and pillows are quite firm, so if you’re used to softer, more plush sleeping arrangements, it might take a night to adjust.
