    • The hotel was generally very clean, maybe few stains on the wall. The bathroom is small, but organized and clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.
    • Great location near Ueno Park. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
    • Very well located in between Ueno and Akihabara.Staff very welcoming and friendly.Room clean and well laid out.

    Cons -

    • The only bad thing about our room was the firm mattress and pillow wasn’t comfortable at all.
    • Room was on the smaller side, but honestly for a solo traveler and given how cheap the room was for Tokyo and the location, this really isn't an issue.
    • Didn't like the pillows, it was too hard

The rooms were nice, while small it was perfect for 1 person. After a day of traveling it’s nice to have a room to yourself and I was able to have my carryon and a medium size suit case open in the room

The hotel is a little bit of a walk from some areas but your quite literally in the midpoint between Ueno and Akihabara

I had a great stay at this hotel, the staff was very friendly, the location was amazing, and the room was clean and comfortable. I will stay again here sometime in the future. Thank you for everything!

Room can be decently sized depending on if you get lucky or not. Room has nice big window. Location is excellent, you're right between Ueno and Akihabara, both are within like a 10 minute walk or so. The nearest train station is like a 4 minute walk away, it's the Ginza line. Hotel was clean, all rooms were non-smoking (nice), and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You're near the big three konbini stores, 7-11, Family Mart, and Lawsons are all like within less than a minute walking distance. There are two coin operated washers and driers on the first floor, indoors.

So I had 2 stays at this place that was split by a trip to Osaka in between. On the first half of the trip I got a room that was decently sized, but on the second half I got a room that was noticeably smaller. I booked the same type of room for both, so it's really hit or miss depending on what you get. The problem was that I brought two check-in sized luggage, in the first room I could hide one near the front door. This hotel does not provide any free water as far as I could tell, I never asked the staff though. The one elevator always stops at the second floor, I understand why (the lobby is on the second floor), but it's still annoying. The bathroom is very cramped, but it is clean.

The location was perfect for me, I had access to many lines within a few minutes of walking and being near Akihabara and Ueno was really convenient. The bed was also comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The laundry machines at the entrance were easy to access and use. As a bonus if you like arcades, I recommend passing through Akihabara after 22:00 (they close at 23:30 though) before getting back to the hotel, it gets very peaceful with almost no tourists around.

I'm used to Japanese business hotels being small, but this time the bathroom was really small. So if you are around my height, 185cm or more, you may get a little cramped in there.

Location is at Okachimachi, near Ueno Station and Akihabara so its very convenient.Room was small but is enough for a solo traveller like me.Bed was comfortable however I wish the pillow was a little softer.

I liked everything in the hotel except the pillow, I wish they put in a softer one and at least have 2 pillows per bed so the customers can hug one.

Very good location as a base and to travel around. While space is small, that didn't bother me and the bed is super comfy. Nice friendly staff. Has the facilities you'd need.

Nothing. As mentioned space is a bit small, might be a bit tricky if you have big or multiple luggage, personally found the space adequate and no issues at all for me (solo traveler with one backpack and one luggage bag).

Great location! Everything you might need around- convenience stores, coin lockers, restaurants/cafes, subway stations, etc. Reception is on the 2nd floor. Paid laundry machine on the 1st floor came in super handy. Very helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again!

A Memorable Stay at an Exceptional Hotel
★★★★★I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for 12 nights, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The receptionists were not only professional but genuinely friendly and eager to assist. A special shoutout to Tanikawa-san, whose kindness and engaging personality truly elevated my stay. He went above and beyond, offering thoughtful recommendations and making every interaction a delight. The room cleaning service was exceptional, helpful and thorough, with all my trash cleared daily, so I never had to worry about a thing. The hotels unique charm and attention to detail were evident throughout. One quirky feature I appreciated was the elevator, which always stopped at the second floor, the receptionist floor, before heading to guest rooms. I learned this is a common safety precaution in Japan, with surveillance cameras ensuring peace of mind, which I found reassuring and fascinating as a cultural touchpoint. The amenities were fantastic and well thought out. The coin laundry, complete with complimentary detergent, was a lifesaver for a long term stay like mine. I also appreciated the inroom phone landline, which added a convenient touch for contacting the front desk. But the real surprises were the delightful extras: a cute rubber duckling in the bathroom as a charming souvenir and, most heartwarming of all, a handwritten thankyou letter accompanied by an adorable rabbit origami. These personal gestures made me feel truly valued as a guest.Every aspect of this hotel reflects care and dedication to creating a memorable experience. Im already looking forward to my next visit and cant recommend this place enough to anyone seeking a blend of comfort, warmth, and unique touches. Im so glad I chose to stay here, it was the perfect home away from home!

I like the location. It’s near different stations. Very accessible. A lot of convenience stores and restos along the hotel too.

The room is a bit small.

The stuff was very friendly and nice. And it was close to the station. It was clean and comfortable,

There is nothing I didn’t like

The location is ridiculously good. Walking distance from Akihabara, Ueno and Yushima. The window in the room is bigger than most hotels in Tokyo. The bathroom was clean and odorless.

Like most hotels in Tokyo, the rooms are quite narrow. You might want to consider booking one size up.There's only one elevator so sometimes you have to wait.

The room was nice and clean, I liked that you had to request it being cleaned and it was not done automatically daily as in most other hotels. Which usually annoys me, as you cannot use the room when they're cleaning, so having an option to choose when it was done here, was great.

The glasses were not cleaned but only rinsed before being "packed" into "I've been sterilized" sleeve. Which was an obvious lie, as after using my glass to drink beer one night, I found it the next day packed in this sleeve after room cleaning and it still stank of beet. So, I had to clean it myself. Not a biggie, but something worth keeping in mind.

I like the accessibility to train station, only 4 minutes walk. It is situated in the middle of Ueno and Akihabara. It is a 7-minute walk to a Uniqlo Store in Ueno. The room we stayed at was very clean. Paying at the property was a breeze. The hotel staffs are accommodating. We had asmooth check in and check out process.I would highly recommend this hotel for accessibility, cleanliness and value for money.

There is nothing I didn't like.

Stayed here as a solo traveller and will be staying here again in the future. The presentation of the hotel was neat and tidy, including the room itself which was also spacious enough to accommodate my two suitcases and several bags. Present on the first floor are a couple of coin operated washing machines and coin operated dryers plus a vending machine. The hotel also treats you to a free rubber duck to take home, which was amazing. The location of the hotel was fantastic and right next door to a 7/11 and a variety of places to eat around the hotel. The hotel is not too far from and within walking distance of Suehirochō station / Ginza line, Ueno, Akihabara and many more places. The staff were nice and attentive, very friendly and made check in a breeze.

Best location from Kesei Ueno Station. Easy access to Ginza and Hibiya subway line for getting around Tokyo. Best kept secret and now always booked.

No free coffee station anymore. Check-in is with a machine which wasn’t easy to use. But not complaining, just mentioning. Still has the vending machines down stairs and a new 7-11 next door.
