Pros +
- The room was very clean and the location was close to Senso-ji Temple but far enough away from the crowds of people. The staff was very responsive and communicated well. It is also located right above a coffee shop and right beside a 7-11 which is nice for starting your day.
- A stone throw’s away from Sensoji Shrine, conveniently located at the heart of Asakusa.
- Pretty quiet for its location. Up to date amenities that all worked. Tatami sleeping room! Courtesy slippers, coffee, and toiletries. Responsive host.
Cons -
- The entrance is hard to find from google maps. Maybe a picture of the entrance in the listing would be helpful.
- If you’re bringing a US three-prong charger for all your electronics, this apartment only has a two-prong outlets. Stairs are a bit steep, especially to the roof. Be careful!
- Maybe a few more coffee packets. ☕ A little more thorough cleaning.

EXTREMELY RUDE HOST
Property is good however the host is extremely uncooperative in every single way. 1) wifi didn’t work during our entire stay, when I texted the host all they told me was to reset the wifi router even though I did not even know where the router was and post that it still didn’t work, host did not bother. 2) previously they had mentioned that luggage keeping service would be possible post 1pm however upon requesting them to keep my luggage prior to check in/out. They declined saying it’s not possible. 3) check out time was 10am and was threatened by the host that if I am even 10 mins late to check out I will be charged and extra fee. This seemed super unreasonable as 10-20 mins flexibility is given at any location. Dint see the point of them threatening to charge me.
Very clean, great location, easy to communicate with host
Stairs if you are on the 4th floor
The location was good.
Our stay at this hotel was not as comfortable as we had hoped. The walls were very thin, making it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms and the upstairs guest, who was stomping around all night. Additionally, there was no curtain on the glass window at the entrance of the room, which compromised privacy and added to our discomfort. The stairwell was quite small, making it difficult to carry our luggage up to the room. We were also expected to wash our towels for a week-long stay, despite being provided with only a very small towel to begin with.Overall, while the location might be convenient, the lack of privacy, thin walls, and limited amenities made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
Great location - very walkable Sensoji Temple & market, lots of delicious restaurants, subway. Really nice to have our own bathroom, which was not available elsewhere at this price point. Easy check in/out
A bit noisy at night from the street and the stairs but earplugs were provided and it was worth it for the location
It was clean, not too big, but it was enough for us to move around and re-distribute our luggage with no issues. Shower and toilet were separate, that was great. There were plenty of power sources to plug in what we needed to charge/use.Location was definitely not an issue, things were quite near, we had view to the sky tree and you could almost hear nothing from outside.
Staircase was WAY too small, which was an issue because we had a medium and a large luggage. Something to improve… maybe put something to hold the door, like to keep it open, cause we were taking our luggage and it kept trying to close up.
View of 4th floor excellent. Near convenience store.
if you have large luggage it quite hard there is no elevator.
closeto amenity
the step very narrow , and rule very strik
The tatami mat with the futon mats felt comfortable making the room really feel cozy and was spacious compared to the average size hotel room you get in Japan. The location itself was really nice being only a couple minutes away from the main big temple and station but also had many local food places to eat it. It was quieter in the area so it wasn't too loud either. The room itself also had some amenities you could used and equipment like a microwave and fridge too, which was helpful.Overall, I'm satisfied with how the room was and it's location and how there is also a manual to get to the location as well as a guide to help you stay too
If you have a lot of heavy luggage, the stairs up to your room will be a killer. It's a bit steep because of the way the building is built so be wary. I think it was probably mentioned somewhere but I didn't read it (my fault)The other thing was mostly the sun lighting up the room when it rises. The room has curtains but they aren't the black-out kind so if you're sensitive to light, be wary
Great location
Extremely noisy at night, needs double pane windows, bed very uncomfortable, shutters didn’t block out light, and the window on the door let in a lot of light
The bed was not as hard as all typical japanese beds I've used.Easy to check in alone.
The location is quite far from central Asakusa or railway stations. The entrance and windy stairs up were not suitcase freindly at all, such a struggle. The aircon was immpossible for a non native to use so i kept it off. The manual had a diffeent aircon remote picture.
Location, clean, comfortable
It's clean and the access to the flat is easy
Sound isolation is not so good Not accurate to the picture
The room was beautiful and clean, in a central location where we could easily walk around asakusa's lovely streets and take the train from the nearby station.
Everything was good
We stayed at this accommodation for almost a week, in the room on the second floor with a regular bed. Close to the metro and all necessities (supermarkets, combinis, restaurants etc.).The room had little amenities (towels, slippers, toothbrush, ear plugs, hairdryer, shampoo and body wash), and also a steam iron which was great. The entryway is small, in the building and the room as well, but manageable. The room had also a fridge, a microwave and a kettle, a table with two chairs, and a radio (fun to listen to). This is not a hotel, there is no front desk, and all the communication was done via messaging. We managed to get in easily, the information we were given was all clear. You have to take out your trash if you stay longer than a few nights.
The room could have been more decorated, there were a lot of blank walls. It was quite bland, it didn't have the decorations in the picture (flower or blanket). There were no hangers or places to put your clothes. The entryway was small, it needs a place to store shoes since you should go in with them (we stored them on a garbage bag). The room had 3 beautiful big windows which faced the street, but they had only blinds, no curtains, so we had to always keep them down because you probably could see everything from the outside. There is also a window on the door from which you could see in the room (not good at all), we had to put another garbage bag to cover it.There are no utensils and no plates, just cups. For an accommodation that isn't a hotel, I think it would be nice to feel at home, so it can be improved.
Cute and comfortable, clean and modern. Quiet. Enjoyed our stay. Staff was very responsive via messaging.
Didn't realize that it's not a hotel with a lobby. Thought that self check-in was optional so didn't read through the self check-in guide beforehand. Ended up walking around in circles with our luggage looking for the place at night. Finally went to a restaurant to sit down and read the check-in materials. Then realized we had to look for an unmarked side door for entry to a room off a stairwell. Once we knew that and saw the pictures provided it was much easier to find. Felt that the property description should have included more details to warn you about this without having to download a 23 page file first.
great location. luggage storage.
the family room was very small and dusty. the stairs were a struggle with our luggage but they did accommodate us and let us drop them off early. there was barely enough space for the futon beds which was beside the tv area that was full of dust and the double bed was a mattress on the ground. wish there were pictures Japanese-style quadruple room prior to our arrival to know it's not like the other rooms in the pictures.
It was a very easy check-in. Location was very good and easy to find. Communication was clear we received a routemap how to get to the apartment from different stations and a manual about the apartment.
It's location is very good but it's right next to a big street so I it can get very busy/loud.
