    Pros +

    • Location was prime.
    • Well located, clean
    • Location, well appointed, and friendly staff. There is the OMO base, which is a relaxation area on 13th floor with a food and drink station and a panoramic window that over looks the Senso Ji temple. There was also a rooftop terrace that we were able to overlook Senso Ji temple and where we rang in the New Year.

    Cons -

    • Upon arrival, the front desk staff had no record of my payment. I made 100% payment at time of booking. At check in they proceeded to charge me, and then ask for verification of prior payment. Also insisted on charging/forcing me to pay for a 2nd room.
    • Basic food, with no alternative
    • The rooms were very small compared to other accommodations we had on our trip.

Lovely hotel! So chic and cozy. The location couldn’t be more perfect, very close to the train station, temple and sky tree. The view on the 13th floor (snacks/drinks for purchase) were insane and we were able to view Mt. Fuji while eating a light breakfast. We will definitely be staying here next year!

    Nothing!

Loved that it was clean and felt high quality.

The room was very small but that was to be expected in Japan.

    9Dess S. B.Posted on: 11-8-2025

The view of our tiny room overlooking the Shrine. The breakfast place is a treat because of the view of Skytree. The coffee maker is fantastic.

Some of the travelers can be a bit rowdy.

love the view and the eating spot. so gorgeous. terrace is amazing. couldn't ask for anything better

the window was fake (i expected this but i wish we actually had a clock or something)

Ignore reviews that point out the rooms are small and without windows. You are in Asakusa, when do you spend time in your room other than to sleep? The rooms are very cozy, modern and well designed. The rain shower is fantastic. The food bar is great - ignore the complaints about this. Yes, it is not chef-prepared on site but there are good options. The coffee is less expensive than a coffee shop and is a high quality machine. I would stay here again any time! The staff were wonderful.

The property is in good location. The amenities especially the food on the 13flr were wonderful.

Coffee is not free except the ones already included with the room.

The location was very convenient. Only a 5 minute walk away from Asakusa Station and Asakusa Shrine. The 24 hour food station was also great!

It would have been helpful if we could use a pre-paid QR code or IC pay for laundry. We had to pay online using our credit card. My bank blocked my card so I was unable to use it.

Very comfortable beds, rooftop lounge was nice. Right near sites and east access to public transit.

    8LaurenPosted on: 7-18-2025

Really great location right near the temple. Spectacular views from the roof. The staff was really nice.

small room - to be expected in Tokyo, but don't expect to be able to have one (let alone two) suitcases open and be able to walk around the room. Also, the luggage storage area is out in the open and is a cable with a lock attached so you can lock your suitcase from someone walking away with it. Some of our luggage included bags (backpack, two tote bags). It would secure the bag from being stolen but it doesn't stop anyone from just opening the bag and taking items.

It was very cute, clean and comfortable . the design was very nice as well. It was also a great location in Asakusa and easily accessible to public transport , sites, shopping and restaurants .

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The room was small but well laid out for the size. it would’ve been nice if they would have provided tea or coffee in the room like all of the hotels we stayed at. The little upstairs cafe was great but you had to pay for coffee or caffeinated tea.

Free snacks, comfy beds, location, quiet neighborhood

Smaller rooms but expected for Tokyo

    10MichaelPosted on: 5-20-2025

Fantastic location. Super clean and beautifully designed. The OMO Food and Drink station on the top floor and viewing deck were such a great idea. All day, self serve food and drink were a great addition. My room was especially 'Japanese'. I loved the design and had a very very comfortable stay.More stays at Hoshino to come!

    9SharonPosted on: 5-15-2025

Second stay here -- and we are returning in the fall of 2025 -- due to excellent staff and location!

    10NicolePosted on: 5-6-2025

The room size & layout is great, shower stream pressure perfect, and the rooftop terrace was priceless! After spending $AUD75 for Tokyo Skytree on a cloudy night with low visibility, we woke up the next morn and headed to the rooftop and got views of Mt Fuji for free, incredible! You can also watch the monk dong the bell at Sensoji every morn at 6am. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic, directly across from Sensoji temple and a short walk from Asakusa Train Station. The king bed was very comfortable. Luggage stowage under bed. Laundry facilities very good. We are 2 aussies who are very well travelled and would absolutely stay here again.

    No complaints.

    Dont book this hotel

We booked a room with double bed. Considering how small rooms are in Japan, we were always able to change our room to a room with 2 separate beds. We asked the hotel if they have availabilities for a room with 2 separate beds and we will pay the difference if any. They told us that we need to cancel our room through booking.com and book a bigger room and pay the new rate. We said if we cancel now we would loose the amount that we paid already per the policy but we can pay the difference. Basically they wanted us to pay for two rooms one with double bed and one with 2 separate beds. The breakfast is non existant, there are some snacks on 13 th floor that you can buy cheaper and better quality from 7 eleven. The room that we got had no window, there was a mezzanine type at the top of the bed, the bed was so small and cramped. Dont book this hotel

    Expectacular view of Temple.Best location.

My Room was Old Japanese style with a modern twist.

Fantastic location, close to Sensoji Temple with beautiful views of Tokyo. The room itself was great with a very comfy bed and good facilities.
