Ueno Urban Hotel Annex

Location is excellent, few minutes walk to iriya exit at Ueno station .Staff was nice, spoke English.Basic amenities in lobby.

The room was uncomfortably small. Only one person can open luggage at a time. Did not request housekeeping as you can barely walk around with luggage in room. Not a good value for 160 per room per nite (2 people) as their rates are usually $60 a nite but we booked late so not many options in area.

location is good, near Jr ueno station which is easily connect to Jr or shinkansen but it is a little bit far from keisei ueno station.

the room is a little bit small with suit for one person stay, if you have 2 people to stay it might be not suit.

Staff were helpful and communicative - they promptly responded to my inquiry to add another guest onto the reservation after I made a mistake in booking and were able to accommodate the extra guest free of charge despite their usual policy. Location was close to Ueno station (JR lines, Tokyo Metro, Keisei Skyliner), Ueno Park, Asakusa, and easy access to Eastern Tokyo.

Didn’t like anything about the property.

Location, amenities, had a weird smell, rooms are way too small and so are beds.

small room and damage wallpaper. All staffs were nice except the front desk, very rude when we tried to book luggage forwarding, he even said you can move it by yourself to your next hotel ? guess that's explain the cheap price, you win some you lose some

Uncomfortable bedding.

Super friendly staff, easy check in, easy check out, the room is small it is correct, however it doesn't matter for us since we were enjoying outside a lot, enter the room only for resting. Facilities and amenities are quite complete compared to their price. Water kettle, hair drier, yukata, sleepers, etc, even small refrigerator are available in the room. While the microwave n washing machine are in the lobby area. Bathroom is small but very clean, modern, and perfect for me, especially the water pressure was incredible.Location is close to Iriya gate of Ueno station. Wifi was good no severe problem during accessing.Hotel provided luggage storage before n after check in/out in the same day, however we didn't use this service last week.My son was satisfied during our stay in this hotel, We stayed for 7 nights. It is an easy decision for us to stay here again when we visit Ueno area.

One possible improvement is changing the pillows with the softer one, room 902 it was very hard pillows. Beside this, we don't mind staying back here. Thank you.

Great stay overall! The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with a perfect location close to Ueno Station which makes getting around Tokyo super easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, even holding my luggage before check-in. The room was small (as expected in Tokyo) but well laid out and had everything I needed. Excellent value for the convenience and service.

During my stay on Saturday night,there was a loud exhaust noise from group of motorcyclists at midnight so i found it a bit difficult to sleep. But i know its not the hotel's fault.

It had a great location and nice staff.

The room had no photos on walls or any color, I felt like I was in a white prison cell when I was in the room, was kind of depressing.

The location is very good because it's near Ueno station. Most of staff are friendly and willing to help.

The bed is quite small ,for me ( Asian size) bed is not big enough . Next time, I should book another type room. But overall is good. Recommened !!

The staff was very nice. The place was very clean and I like the security that they had there.

Room and facility such as bathroom, shower room are too small.

Near the train station, restaurants, and convenience stores. Staff were super helpful too! They offer luggage delivery services via Yamato, so we didn’t have to drag our heavy bags in the Shinkansen going to our next hotel in Kyoto.

Room not that big

Great location very close to Ueno station making it easy to get around. The lobby and elevator both require card key so the place felt extra safe and secure.

Rooms are just a bit small, but it is the middle of Tokyo and the room does not cost much.

The hotel is ridiculously clean and tidy! There are also human touches that show that a real person cleaned the room.

The room itself was quite sterile: white on white on white, with dark desk and bedframe.

Location is great, and the beds were comfortable. Close to the Ueno station, perfect to catch a train from Tokyo station in the morning.

AC was leaking water and my friend had to change her room in the middle of the night. Reception is 3 buildings away, but they were very helpful. Still it wasn’t ideal to wake up in a wet bed…

The situation really close to the train station. The calm and the cleanliness of the hotel.

The room is really small and all is written in Japanese so I did not understand how to put on the A/C so it was really warm.
