Pros +
- Free amenities, great location and amazing staff! They let us keep our luggage at the hotel after check out to visit the city one last time before our flights! Would definitely stay again.
- The breakfast was okay with a decent amount of options. All the free popsicles, ramen, and onsen were great. They cleaned my room every day which was great. Very accommodating overall. It is a calm and quiet hotel even though there is a decent amount of people staying there.
- I really loved the hot spring, it was a refreshing way to start each day. And the ramen at the end of the day was delicious.
Cons -
- Pillows were too hard ?
- A lot of the breakfast items were cold. I really wish the rooms were larger, but i understand that is more of a luxury in Tokyo. If the rooms were larger it’s would’ve been a perfect stay. I also don’t like that you have to rent a clothing iron, and i wish the laundry was free.
- The pillows were a bit too hard. There was only one blanket on the bed and it was incredibly hot.

The pillows were a bit too hard. There was only one blanket on the bed and it was incredibly hot.
Good location and price, and they left us a nice snack in the fridge upon arrival. Check in and checkout were professional and easy. Most major amenities were provided.
The room was tiny with barely enough room for 2 suitcases and the bedsheets felt like plastic. They rustled every time we moved and felt bad against skin. The pillowcases were the same material and the pillows were very hard, so sleep wasn’t comfortable.
I love Dormy Inns and this one did not disappoint. It is in a great neighborhood. It is close to the Sunshine Shopping complex with all the modern attractions but still close to quaint old neighbourhoods. It is within walking distance of three train stations allowing easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. It was great to stay a little bit outside the main core but still be in a vibrant neighbourhood. As always, I greatly appreciate the delicious breakfast spread as well as the access to laundry facilities. Soap is included and the washing machines are free. Dryers are 100jpy for 20 min and are very effective.
The pillows are crazy hard. Just ask at the front desk for softer ones.
quiet and clean, breakfast and bath
a little overprice
The location was nice, quiet, but close to the station. Loved there were convenience stores and a small 24 hour supermarket nearby. The walk to the station was quick and away from all the hustle and bustle.
Affordable prices. Room was spacious. Beds extremely comfortable.
The onsen was fantastic!! Clean, uncrowded, lovely. The room was comfy, plenty of space for suitcases and yoga. Very simple, but ample. The location was amazing!!
The staff are very cold. The electronic check-in is so impersonal. It was a bit gross that we didn’t get our room tidied at all during our 6 day stay.
Good breakfast; convenient location; nice onsen; available snacks.
The bathroom had a slight smell, not sure what it was.
The best spa in the whole area. Great location looks perfect.
Rooms could be bigger
Our rooms were bigger than I expected. The amenities are great and the area is quiet but there were many convenience stores and places of interest leading up to it.
The pillows were a bit hard.
I had a regular double room and it was very comfortable (make sure to check the square footage before booking). The bed(a full) was big enough for two people, if you don't roll around. I have no problem storing two suitcases. The food as always, was delicious and it's all you can eat, so it's worth it to get up and have breakfast. The bathroom was ok, no tub but the shower was just fine. 10/10 would stay again.
No tub in the room.
I really liked the onsite access to the hot springs. It added a very relaxing experience after walking around Tokyo.
The front desk staff seemed very inexperienced. When I requested to ship my luggage to HND airport 2 days prior via Yamato the hotel staff immediately said no they were unable to do it. They were quite rude and said 無理だよできない!They told me this was Yamato’s rule that shipping luggage 2 days prior was not feasible. However this was incorrect and I showed the staff the cut off date as instructed by Yamato to send your luggage to the airport and they told me they had to check. In all my time living in Japan, I’ve never encountered a hotel staff not knowing the basic Yamato’s takyubin service when this service is offered in most hotels in Tokyo. Therefore, I can imagine a tourist not knowing the takyubin rules must’ve followed the order of the hotel staff however since I live in Japan and knew of the takyubin rules and restrictions, I challenged the hotel staff to send my luggage. So it would be a better experience if the hotel staff were educated properly in the hotel’s services.
I chose this hotel for the hot spring, and it exceeded all expectations. Not only was the hot spring wonderful, but the room was more spacious than I anticipated, and there were additional amenities available such as free ice cream and noodles, a manga library, and a complimentary snack upon check-in. The location was perfect, just minutes away from the heart of Ikebukuro, and it was convenient to be able to stop back at the room to drop off our shopping and rest before heading back out to explore. The breakfast offered at the hotel is also very good and affordably priced. Pajamas are available for guests and it was refreshing to see most guests wearing them to breakfast, it felt very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Tokyo.
The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. I appreciated the hot bath, cold plunge and sauna options. I liked the free sports drink in the bathing change room.
The bedding could have been better. The mattress did not have a fitted sheet, only an unfitted sheet tucked into it. This would have been fine, except the sheet kept coming out over and over again. It felt impossible to get it to stay in place. For the price per night I expected better bedding.
I loved the hot bath, the amenities were plenty, the breakfast was so good, and the staff was kind and helpful.
Location is great, room is comfortable, love the spa
The breakfast can have more variety, when it’s the same everyday and on every trip it gets a little boring and the price is not cheap
This is second time to use your hotel. A reason to use your hotel that because I am a Japanese and living in USA so when I back in Japan take a hot spring bath is always wonderful. I will be back next time for sure.
