    Pros +

    • The location was excellent with many food and sightseeing opportunities nearby.
    • Location, cleanliness and laundry room
    • Hotel is a few blocks from a covered shopping arcade, Don Quixote, and about 10 mins from subway and Sens¿-ji Temple, which is magnificent.

    Cons -

    • We would have preferred a larger room size. There were 2 of us with a single bed in the room and managing the space was a challenge.
    • I wish they have a lobby
    • Not that I dislike, but it is not as close to the stations as you may think looking at the maps. Still 15-20min from every station gates, but super close to the temple Senso-ji, in the heart of Asakusa.

Perfect hotel for our stay in Tokyo, we loved walking through the Senso-ji temple grounds every day to get to the nearest subway station (the street food can't be missed). It is a bit far from say Shibuya-Shinjuku; but the fact that the hotel is so close to the Ginza line; the non-overwhelmingly touristy feeling of the neighborhood makes it still a great location. The hotel was modern, clean, but very reminiscent of New York City hotel room in terms of size. Not a negative just to be expected, perhaps, in Tokyo? Finally, don't miss the roof-top deck at sunrise or sunset, the views of Tokyo (particularly) the Sky Tree are amazing!

Love the location, only a 7 min walk from Sensoji Temple, and is very quiet after long days exploring Tokyo.

Very good value for money. Super clean, convenient and good bathroom toiletries.

Not that I dislike, but it is not as close to the stations as you may think looking at the maps. Still 15-20min from every station gates, but super close to the temple Senso-ji, in the heart of Asakusa.

The staff was so very helpful. They ordered us taxis, helped us make appointments. The location was fantastic. It’s on a quiet street, close to temple and bath houses. The bathroom has tooth brushes, hair brushes and bath cloths.

There was no seating in the lobby. And the room is too small for two people traveling together to hang out in. We like to relax in lobbies and read, or plan our next move. But it seems that hotel lobbies in Tokyo don’t have that option. And, there are no trash cans around hotels or the city, so you only have a tiny trash can in the room.

Solid choice. No complaints. Would certainly stay again

Room small but I understand that is normal. Pillow felt like it was filled with straw. But those are trivial complaints. Room was clean, and staff were great.

Very clean, with very competent staff. The two best things about this hotel are 1. it's location right by Senso-ji (I mean basically on top of it) and all the Asakusa shops, and 2. the terrace upstairs with the beautiful view of the city, Senso-ji, and the Tokyo Skytree. We stayed for just one night here on our circle back around after we flew out in the morning, and I thought it was the best location to pick up souvenirs, pay respects to the temple one last time, and see the Tokyo skyline before leaving.

Location is great. There are restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms are clean and not too small. Staff are friendly and efficient especially Gaston and Ken. Accommodation rate is value for money considering it's peak season.

My bed was not made for 2 days by the housekeeping. They said that they won't touch the bed if there are personal items on it. But the only item left on the bed was my PJs . They could put it back after making the bed. Used cups were left unwashed. The plated/set breakfast choices are limited. When we requested for cleaning at 3pm, the housekeeping didn't come. Also, they should not control the AC on winter time. They should let the guests decide on the temperature of their rooms.

I really like how close the hotel location was to multiple train routes. Great location with Sensoji Temple nearby. Easy access to shopping streets and convenience stores. The rooftop view was awesome and totally free!

    Not much

    10naumPosted on: 12-20-2025

The location was great only a few minute walk from a train station and have multiple bus top also near by, and have a great temple right next door.

Nothing really , maybe just the price but I’m assuming that’s based on the time of year

I liked that the property was close to the Senso-Ji temple, metro stations, and other attractions. I liked that the staff was professional and friendly. The property was clean, everything was easy to use.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.

My room was well appointed but small.

    9ConnorPosted on: 12-8-2025

The rooftop was beautiful, could be transformed into a great bar.

The room was a bit small, however it was well equipped.

I had a great stay at The KANZASHI Tokyo Hotel, and their service after checkout was exceptional. I realized I’d left a pair of earrings in my room safe, and when I called, the staff notified housekeeping and it was found the next day. The hotel even arranged to ship it back to me. Their honesty and efficiency were truly impressive.Highly recommended!

This place is in a pretty good location, with Sensoji Temple not too far away, as well as a really good eating/drinking area all being within a 15 minute walk or so. The view from the rooftop is absolutely stunning at night and the staff are wonderful. Decent amenities, all the essentials and a bit extra.

Room was a tiny bit small, but probably normal by Japanese standards.

    6AlanPosted on: 11-22-2025

The price was good, and there were great local restaurants in the surrounding area. Although 12-15 minutes from the closest metro, the hotel is steps away from Senso-ji and many shopping areas.

The staff was great, but operationally, this felt like a barebones hotel experience. The room was incredibly tiny even for Tokyo, and there was a column that one might kick while in bed. In order to cool down the room with heat as the only HVAC option, it was suggested that I open the windows, which did work. Cleaning staff started early daily, which interrupted sleep sometimes. Bathroom had a slight smell to it.

    10SANNYPosted on: 11-17-2025

I liked the location. It is right by Senso-ji temple and I liked the room that we had. We had a view of the temple and of the Tokyo Skytree. This room was the largest room we had in all the places we stayed at here in Japan. We were very comfortable here. The staff were great, they were very nice and very helpful. I think Asakusa is a great place to stay.

The only negative feedback would be that my husband was not very impressed with the breakfast. He felt there was not a good variety and he was very disappointed.

Double room was really small , twin room was a bit better . Location was nice reasonable walk to the train station.(13-15 min walk) After sightseeing on the way there was don quiote so we shopped and come to hotel with the bags that was convenient .The amenities especially the single packaged lotion, makeup remover etc was good quality and provided everyday view from the rooftop terrace was really good
