- Very much enjoyed all the Tearth teas!
- Nicely located, great for end of trip stay if you are heading to the airport after. Staff was nice and helpful.
- Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shops, food, and the metro. It was also very close to local attractions such as Ueno Park. The property itself was spotless and provided plenty of amenities, including pajamas and slippers!
Cons -
- It was much harder to find from the station than I thought . I left via a different exit from the station than the one near the hotel . Quite difficult managing many stairs and luggage
- The room was very small
- The outlet wasn't charging as fast as I would like. Also, one of the buttons for the lights in my room was broken near the bed.

The room is small compared to Western hotel rooms, however this is normal for Tokyo.
So easy to access from the Ueno train station. This was so convenient for coming and going. Very central and easy to access all parts of Tokyo. Breakfast was delicious but be sure to reserve your choice the night before. The bath tub was amazing.
The rooms are soooooooooooo small. It's fine since you are only there to sleep, but wow. Very small. And it was so hot in the room. We opened the windows because they couldn't put the rooms below 20 degrees.
The property was clean, close to the station with loads of good food around and very helpful and new.

The best thing about this hotel was the location. Rooms were clean but very small. They have complimentary drinks and small snacks.
Non-Japanese staff were not as friendly and helpful as compared to the Japanese staff. Breakfast experience was pretty bad. You have to "order" all of your breakfasts in advance when checking in, like we had to know what we wanted to eat several days in advance. And some mornings the front desk told us to go back to the breakfast are and find someone there to help us (uh, there was no one there, which is why we came to the front desk). Other mornings, they told us to sit down and they will come to the table. We never knew what to expect and the people at the front desk always seemed annoyed about breakfast. And the food itself was not good. It was pre-made and you always get either bread or a breakfast sandwich with soup, fruit and yogurt. It really reminded me of an airplane meal. And the taste was not good, again, think airline food. Definitely not worth all the money we paid. We ended up skipping at least one breakfast and just forfeiting the money to get some good food elsewhere. I would stay here again but I would not get the breakfast.
Location can't be beat, right next to Ueno station and park but very quiet at night. The lobby was a relaxing place to hang out since the rooms are quite small. Appreciated the free tea and toiletries to take as needed. Yes, the rooms are small but there is under-bed storage. We had no problem with two larger carry-on suitcases and backpacks.
As other reviews mentioned, the bathroom had a sewage-y smell (maybe due to old plumbing?). We kept the door closed anyway to keep steam in but it was unpleasant.
The cleanliness was every three days kinda weird and you have to bin the papers etc yourself then what’s the point of making your room cleaned
The breakfast no scones or whatsoever as its written, only soup/packages and coffee machine I never found the scone or bakery so 0
Located a short walk from the JR lines at Ueno Station, this hotel is a great option for a stay in Tokyo - especially at the beginning or end of your trip, as the Skyliner to Narita Airport is also close by. The hotel has an artsy, modern design with very comfy rooms, and some free drinks and snacks (including croissants and soup) in the lobby.
Rooms are fairly small, which is standard in Tokyo. But if you're a couple with large luggage, you'll have a hard time figuring out where to put it!
We did enjoy the location, extremely convenient, quiet, combini options around the hotel. 10/10! A couple of washer+drier combos on the floor. Staff was great, we were staying during Halloween and got a chance to participate in fun activities. Great selection of tools and tioletries. Convinient tea and coffee station and frozen to baked pastries.
The bathroom was smelling wet, not pleasant, the fan in the bathroom did not help at all. It smelled like damp swamp all the time. Approach to room service was weird in my opinion, I can understand separating clean and dirty towels, but bringing them outside of the room every day is a little bit tedious. A well as the fact you need to chang the trash bin bag yourself and also bring it outside your room.
Great location
The bathroom smelt like urine and poor air flow
The hotel and room was modern and clean.
The furniture in the room was not necessary. The chair, ottoman and the table took up much of the needed space. Especially the chair. I had to move it and the table so I could get to the bed. A small stool would be sufficient and get rid of the big chair, table and ottoman. Also, the croissant bar was not available during our stay since it started at 10 am. when most guests are checking out. Is that a way to not have guests take advantage of it.
Facilities. I appreciate providing facial masks, particularly in this dry and windy season.
The lights are dim and in an orange tone which makes it difficult to ser clearly at night.
This hotel is very well located, steps away from the nearest subway/JR exits and multiple conbini nearby. The rooms were very soundproof, clean, and had everything you’d need with a full size bathroom. There’s a nice big tub with bath salts in the lobby. The scents for shampoo, conditioner, etc were quite nice.
I wish there were more wall hooks to make it easier to keep the room organized during our stay but that’s a very minor quibble.
The hotel is just a few steps away from Ueno station, making it a great choice to explore Tokyo. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they even provided us a plug in adapter. The room is compact but very well designed.
The staff were pleasant.
The room was very small and the only place to sit was a chair which was right next to the bed so the only way to get into bed was to crawl in from the bottom. There was really nowhere to open luggage.
Location was perfect, room was tiny but clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was decent. I was only there one night so didn’t see much of the hotel but the entryway is very relaxing with all the greenery and the lobby and dining area is modern and clean. Would stay here again for a short trip.
Just be warned rooms are pretty small, I was in the double room with small double bed which can fit 2 but I think it would be hard to fit 2 people in there depending on how many bags you have. If you’re both in backpacks then it’s probably fine.
The facilities and room were very clean and well laid out, it was small by US standards but it was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby area was very nice. The location being so close to Ueno station was perfect and convenient for getting most anywhere. We are very happy we chose this area and this hotel for our first stay in Tokyo.
The daily breakfast we added to our reservation was very tasty, but it would have been nice if the system was a bit more flexible. Not knowing what the options were until the day before, and needing to 'put in our order' by 9pm the night before was a bit strange. It would have been nice to be able to choose if we wanted to opt in or out of the breakfast each day, and could make the decision the morning of instead of the day before.
