Cons -
- You must take off your shoes and leave the key at the front desk. You cannot easily go out of the hotel. However, you will always be kicked out from 10:00 to 3:00 every day. The slippers you have to change inside are very flimsy. When I was wearing my own
- I wish they had cold and hot water for drinking and tea/instant coffee available in the lounge around the clock. It would add a lot to guest comfort for little added cost.
- The only thing that I want to comment is, it was mentioned that there is a steam iron to lend. And it is also stated in their guide book too that was placed in the capsule. But when I went to the counter to borrow, the staff said there was no steam iron. This disappoint me a little because even though I bring my own iron, but I feel it inconvenient for me to use it in the capsule, therefore I was happy to read that this place offer the service when I book, but the truth is, they don't.

Everything is in order, just like how I expected it to be. The place was clean, spacious. The space for you to arrange your luggage was very convenient. The location is one of the best, in walking distance to Ueno station, with many good exits eg. Shinobazu exit and Hirokoji exit (most convenient if you bring a luggage and want to use the shinkansen). This place is also close to the Ameyayokocho, where you can shop all day long, close to halal food (in Ameyoko and also some other halal outlets inc. Yakiniku). The capsule has inside locker where you can fit a small backpack, so you can keep your valuable items there.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet sleep. Everything you need with respect to amenities. Comfortable places to chill or eat in the lobby. Well-appointed grooming area. Everything spotlessly clean.
The location is great, within minutes walk from Ueno station and a stone throw away from Ameyoko shopping street. There's an onsen and sauna within the facility which is great for winding down a after a long day of exploration.
The dormitory is huge with over 60 beds, so there are bound to be noises. The large common area is good for relaxing after onsen or having meals, but it can get crowded and the tables weren't as clean.
Very clean
The front staff during check in. The one with the heavy make up. She's quite rude
I like the lighting in the capsule, the bathroom, the location!
No really.
Friendly staff. Location is good. Spa is of good size with limited outdoor access.
Had some noisy neighbours but that was understandable, somewhat ok. One night there was a heavy weighted neighbour taking the upper bunk, I was at the lower. His bed made so much noise when he rolled over or moved. That woke me up multiple times.
The spa was wonderful! Its small but it never gets crowded somehow. And i got clean sheets, pillow case, towels everyday:)
You cant stay in your capsule room between 2-4pm due to the cleaning but i was exploring outside so didn’t mind at all!
The onsen was great. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.I don't like the late check-in (only after 4pm I think). Also, you have to leave the room after 10am, so no sleeping in.
The pillows were a bit weird. Not soft.
The staff was friendly, good amenities for guests, centrally located, and good value.
In the middle of the night it was quite noisy and my pillow was uncomfortable.
Clean, tranquil
You had to take your shoes off to go in, but the slippers provided were not at the entrance, so I walked in my bare feet to the front desk.
Great locationDecent public bath and saunaLounge is comfortable and the bed is plenty fine enough
Overcomplicating simple processes a bitThink it's a little unnecessary to have everything to getting your shoes, getting your cabin key etc etc all be tied to having to interact with the staff, especially when you arrive late in the night or leave late in the night and the staff is gone for a bitThere's a clean-up every single day from 10 AM till afternoonFor hygiene purposes it's greatIf you plan to sleep in, it's not great
Very clean and very good position. Public bath for free and a lot of amenities in the bathroom.
Doors are a little bit noisy. So It Is difficult to sleep when a lot of people goes in and out from the room or to the bathroom. Sinks in the bathroom should be more due to the huge availability of capsules
Sauna was huge and clean. Lockers available inside the capsule as well as locks for large suitcases at the corner. Lounge was huge, plenty of tables and chairs.
The one-and-only elevator only goes to third floor. We stayed at fourth floor so we had to dragged our suitcase up. Not the most pleasant experience. The check-in check-out procedure it a bit annoying--had to deal with the staff first but still had to finish it ourself at the self-service machine.
The location and amenities were very convenient, and I felt safe and comfortable sleeping on the womens-only floor. Every staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful. We arrived early at about 11am and were able to drop off our belongings prior to check in, when we returned in the evening to check in the process of staying in the capsule hotel was explained to us. Check in and check out were easily done through the kiosk machine, which could be switched to an English language setting. The hotel is located down the street from the Keisei Skyliner station, which was perfect for catching the Skyliner train to Narita for our flights the day after our stay.
Sadly we didn't learn until arrival that tattoos are not allowed in the onsen. There was some confusion as to whether or not it would be OK to enter with tape covering tattoos but we ended up not using the onsen as we couldn't get clarification on that. The bunks themselves were rather warm until turning on the AC button, which is in the bunk - after a bit the airflow starts moving and cooling down the bunk area.
Good facilities and onsen, comfortable capsule,
only issue was loud snoring!
The location and the Japanese bath
The area for taking of the shoes it’s not the best, specially when is raining. And the staff didn’t speak English
besides it can sometimes be hot inside the capsule, everything is fantastic! i love the onsen and the lounge!
