MONday Apart UENO SHINOKACHIMACHI

Very friendly and welcoming. We had another hotel reservation who couldn?t accommodate us.After being stranded for 2 hrs at 1030pm I was able to find this hotel. They gave us a room and then we were able to move to another room the next few days.

Nothing at all.

Room was perfect for a family of 4. The availability of stove, microwave and washer&dryer was a bonus. Kids loved the bunk beds. Location was within walking distance to train stations and the lively food and shopping areas, yet situated in a quiet neighborhood for restful nights.

The was an excellent size for a family of four. Having access to a kitchen was convenient.

It was about a 10-12 minute walk to the main shopping and dining district.

Staff was helpful, amenities were provided

Really really small. Definitely not for 5 people.

We had great experience at this hotel. It was clean, had all amenities, and within walking distance of several stations. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, which we really appreciated after a busy day. The room was a bit small, but still comfortable enough for a family of 3.

Pillows were hard, but we didn't mind.

Spacious room. Clean. Good location.

Good facilities and a decent sized room. The toilet was fancy and I love the battery mini vacuum cleaner provided - great when travelling with a three year old! The staff were always willing to help but local knowledge about Japan was not as good as one would expect. Location was handy.

It’s in a quiet location. The room was very clean, had a washer/dryer and all the amenities you could ask for provided. Staff is very helpful! Shower is terrific too! Would stay here again!

This was such a great set up. There were 4 of us traveling so the room was nice and spacious. We wanted to travel light so having a washer/dryer in our room was amazing! The staff were always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

I feel like the property was a little far to see most things but the metro was easy to access so that helped a lot.

The property is well maintained, the room is spacious, and all the kitchen items work well.

They only clean the room every three days. They cleaned ours once but left some trash and the old sheets, so I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be. I don't think they really did the cleaning or just changed the sheets because the floor wasn't vacuumed.That said, it was a great stay overall.

Location: close to public transport. Ueno area - shops, restaurants, park - in walking distance.Front desk staff very friendly & helpful. Tried their best to assist with the washer/dryer issues we had.

Cleaning could be improved. found snacks leftovers behind sofas mattresses. Very tight space left to move around and we did not have large size luggage.We were relying on the washer/dryer in the room to wash and dry cloths (family of 5 in a very hot & humid season...). Dryer had issues and could not dry our cloths. Staff tried to help but couldn't. Offered to use a machine in another vacant room. unfortunately we did not have the time for that.

Great location close to the zoo and train station walking distance to restaurants and shopping a lot of convenience stores. Rooms were perfect for family, especially with a kitchenette and washing machine. Staff was great in helping to get around. It was quiet and everything clean

The apartment was new and in great condition and very comfortable, can't fault anything really. Space felt bigger than the photos with places to store suitcases under the bed. Unlike some other apart hotels they have desk staff and can store luggage. The washing machine in the room was a great convenience. We had only planned to stay at the apartment 3 nights but were able to extend our stay as we were having a great time in Tokyo and forecast in our next destination was poor.

Not really a negative, but perhaps helpful to know. We choose to stay in Ueno because it's a bit quieter and closer to friends. If this is your first trip and you want to be closer to the main sights this may not be the right location for you. We took advantage of the small shopping malls 10-15 mins from the apartment, local playgrounds and enjoyed the very quiet streets away from the craziness of Chiyoda or Shibuya.

We had a great stay! The rooms were very clean, which we really appreciated, especially when traveling with a small child. Having a washing machine was a big plus for us. The location is also excellent — close to the zoo and in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Would definitely recommend!

Distance to surroundings (metro, supermarket) requires some effort. Trash system is a little complex.

Room is a good fit 4 adults and is big by Japan standards with a window you can actually see a city view from (L9). Very clean and comfortable. Great location, a quiet neighbourhood with a 7 Eleven and a Pharmacy just around the corner and a good supermarket (PB FARM Satake) 10 mins walk. Lots of places to eat and shop near Ueno station. A few different train lines within about 10 mins easy walk of this apartment. Note for Ueno station and Keisei Skyliner train (Ueno to Narita airport terminals), allow 15 mins walk time if you have luggage.Staff were very helpful and friendly. They even allowed us to store our luggage on the day of departure so we could sightsee and come back and collect the bags and go. Much appreciated!

Nothing not to like.

Beds were very comfortable. It was quite spacious and the washing machine was great with pods included.

A little far from the train if you have big luggage.

Staff were very friendly and little extras were offered to make stay more comfortable. For example; Green tea, entertainment for kids, free tooth brushes etc. Clean, well serviced rooms. Comfortable and modern. Kitchenette well stocked, washing machine very handy.

The option for a family room, many other accomodation options in Japan did not offer this. The location was perfect. The room was larger than we expected. It was very clean. We enjoyed the free drinks available in our room.

Another Monday apartment we stayed in gave us a local map with recommendations of cafes, bars, supermarkets etc on the back with QR codes which was very helpful.
