- Brilliant location right on the beach. The staff where extremely friendly and helpful. We even had a small problem with our bathroom where the toilet didn't receive any water and it was sorted out within 30 min.Their breakfast and lunches where always very well made and delicious. Rooms where cleaned daily and the overall look of the hotel is neat and clean. There where maintenance carried out while we where there, so they do look after their property. There are warnings about the monkeys and that you need to keep everything closed, but I have to say that we where not bothered by them at all. One cheeky monkey did help themself to a few grapes one breakfast morning but that was as far as that went.Did enjoy the massage as well and was real value for money.

- The hotel itself is old, not in the "charming" old way, just old. The lift is probably still from the 1950's so we opted for the stairs (80 to the beach from our room so a nice workout after breakfast). It is however well maintained. Just a pity there isn't a fridge in the rooms (people with medicine that needs to be kept cool might have a problem there, we made a plan with a cooler box), although it is present in their more expensive rooms it seem. The wifi itself where also very shoddy, it will probably be better to use your own.Our room was above the designated smoking area which had 2 problems. The 1st is that there isn't real privacy in the room if the curtains are open. The other issue is that all the smoke gets into the room if you dare open the windows. (It's extremely humid if the windows are closed and only the fan is on in the room).Although staff where always friendly and helpful, the quickness and efficiency where not always there and we had to wait a few times before a waiter was available to assist us. We where on vacation and thus not in a hurry so no train smash but they can have a look at that. We where also a witness on two occasions where staff where shouting at each other due to incorrect orders and I feel that that shouldn't happen in front of patrons.I feel for the price being paid I get less in the room that what I get in B&B's I stay in for almost half the price.

The food and location. Although we need more non-curry options for those with a different palate.
The waitrons are simply not available. The service is poor apart from the front desk who are excellent.
Super selection. Healthy options. Something for all tastes and vegetarian options available.Spectacular sea views
location is superb. i enjoyed the breakfast, really they do care of their guests, i had to leave early before breakfast, they prepared us breakfast , it was a first time to have such fully prepared breakfast to take along with. their breakfast exceeded my expectations. The hotel looks like old, but well maintained. the interior is okay . Bathroom is very nice and well maintained. The lift is an old model, but well maintained and functioning very well.
i don't have any to say all were with my soul
This is our second time at Salt Rock hotel as a family. We cannot fault our stay as it ticks all our boxes. If youre looking for a traditional hotel with a chilled, seaside vibe, this is the place to be. The beach and rock pool are so close, it feels like a private beach. The rooms are spacious and clean with super comfortable beds and the sea views are a bonus. The hotel gardens are vast and filled with palm tree nooks and crannies so suntanning beside the huge pool or finding a quiet bench to read a book are just 2 of many relaxation options . And the final 'pièce de résistance' is the buffet breakfast. With a massive selection to choose from , one could easily make breakfast a 2 hour affair!
good selection and fresh ,well within what you paid. helpful staff

We loved our stay the staff was friendly and very responsive. Best views and beach - and the food so tasty. We will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. The staff helpful and friendly. The view from 409 was spectaculor and the surroundings beautiful.
Absolutely nothing.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were great. The room was spacious.
We didn’t have a mini bar fridge in the room, which meant our daughter’s milk went off before she could drink it all. The staff did allow us to get milk from the kitchen. The games room could do with some upgrading as well.
It’s accessibility to the beach and the peacefulness
Shower leaked on floor badly
Location was great..
Towels provided were not great quality, was lucky that we carried our own. The food at the restaurant was good, but the service by the waiters is an area of improvement. Breakfast, on the flip side, was great..
Being so close to the beach with the beautiful morning views, walks on the beach.. The meals was lovely.. Enjoyed every moment there.. The staff was very friendly.. This was our secoynd visit there and will definitely go back again..
I loved the location, the staff, the facilities and most especially, the kiddies club at the Marlin Room
Breakfast very goodLocation idealRight on the beachClose to other coastal villages
Buildings old and require upgradeBesides breakfast which was in the rate other meals were alacarte and expensiveService SLOW
The gardens are beautiful and the view of the ocean is stunning.
Infestation of moths that live in the waterway gulleys outside the windows that we don’t think have ever been cleaned.Windows that are not sealed, broken frames.Lights that flicker in bathroom and bedroom.Awful odor when entering the room.Dirty stained carpets.Furniture and fixtures in dire need of replacement.Water in shower cold.Terrible tv reception and very limited channels, very small and outdated tv.Awful lighting in rooms, lamps don’t work and shades crooked on lamps. The general state of the rooms is poor and unappealing. The food quality from room service was sloppy and awful.Over inflated meal prices in restaurant. The hotel building on the outside is filthy and needs a complete thorough cleaning and makeover.
Beautiful scenery and views and breakfast was good and the pizzas delicious.
Service levels at the restaurant was poor....if this improves it would have been an excellent experience
Location was good, the view in the mornings was the best..Food was good.
The Room with no kitchen also needs fridges. There was n coffee station. It would be nice if the other beach gate also would have a place where you can rinse your feet after a visit from the beach.
The staff was great and helpfull The rooms are old and need a bit of TLC. The one plug was open and it was a problem as I have to kids under 4.
