Great bohemian chic, stunning thatched goof suites and cobalt-blue sea views

This small boutique hotel was a calm and welcoming oasis along the beach in South Tulum; every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful and really made an effort to be on a first-name basis with us, which was very charming; the food was great, our room was beautiful and spacious and the whole vibe of the property was just super relaxing - the team at the spa also deserves a special callout! We booked three massages during the week we were there and they were outsanding.

Loved the attention to details that has gone into designing every aspect of this hotel. Both our room and the shared facilities were clean, gorgeous, and just super comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff incredibly nice.

There are not enough shaded loungers on the beach.

We went here for our honeymoon. We had signature suit with jungle view with rolling bed. The room was absolutely amazing. Super nice, quite and we had breathtaking jungle view. Our staying was living in a dream. Staff was so helpful and friendly. They helped us with restaurant recommendations and even for booking and arranging.Also now I am big fun of small luxary hotel groups, it has quality vibes. There were very few guests staying and we really enjoyed serenity and calmness of the place.

meal portions were little bit small. For example avocado toast comes with just one piece of small bread.

Beach access, wifi, attentive kitchen staff

Noise coming from outside the room overnight, food poisoning from hotel dining on the last day of our stay, thick smoke cover over breakfast service in the Jungle section, no-scaffolding construction next door, persistently damp bath robes and towels, reception staff that’s conversant in Spanish only, limited or poor amenities in the room.

La Valise is an absolutely unique and special place. Team is professional and hits the perfect balance of being helpful and caring without being overwhelming. Exterior and interior designs are a masterpiece with a lot of tiny little details that you want to keep looking at and enjoy. Toiliteries are great and rooms have a very pleasant scent. Beach is clean, with comfortable beds. Overall stay at La Valise is relax and recharge for body and soul.

As part of our honeymoon, we enjoyed 11 days at La Valise and it was truly an amazing time. The place is a beautiful and peaceful little pearl in the jungle close to restaurants and Tulum life, the view over the Caribbean Sea is stunning, the food is always delicious and the place and furnishing are giving a perfect Caribbean vibe. Huge thanks to Oscar, Eddie, Agustin, Anna and the whole team, you made the experience wonderful - we couldn’t ask for more. The greatest recommendation from Denmark.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Bartender, waiters, security, concierge and manager, (Emily) were all exceptional.Beach was beautiful and peaceful.Food was good.Rooms/Units were designed and decorated nicely.

Unfortunately, I had a couple of bats in my unit/room.I was able to catch the little one the first night of my stay with a bath hand towel and release it into the jungle behind my villa.I had another, larger bat in my room the second night of my stay. I contacted security to remove, as they did. I no longer felt comfortable in my unit/room. Security contacted (Emily), and they were able to help me move to another hotel across from La Valise. It was an inconvenience for me, but Emily, and the security were very kind trying to make me comfortable.The last night of our stay, my daughters unit/room had a foul smell. While, looking around the room, and going upstairs she found urine and feces from some sort of animal that entered from a hole in the ceiling.That was reported to the front desk as well.

The design is very special, the staff are nice, the food was very good, the view from our room was stunning , the area was good, the fact that we could go to Radu was great option when the sea wasn’t an option.intimate place a special for couples

The fact that it’s non smoking property it’s something you didn’t mention at your website (booking), there is not music for atmosphere, it’s very nice for couples that want to be in intimate place! we stayed at the top room that was very special and expansive and the problem that we heard all of the noises from the middle room like we stayed at the same room and it’s a shame ?and I think that In 11 rooms resort they could communicate with us much more about the activities beside the message they send on arrival .

The hotel was amazing. Set between the jungle and the beach it has plenty of space for guests to relax, eat and drink and always felt calm and exclusive.From start to finish the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.The food was good quality and the hotel is a short walk to a number of great restaurants.

Beautiful, swimmable, relaxing, fine white-sand beaches. Large swimming pool. Breeze thru beach-side bar very pleasant, especially when hot outside. Staff friendly, helpful. Rooms spacious, easily accessed near food service, pool, and beach. Excellent, walkable nearby restaurants.

Pool water slightly musty. Beds a little too soft for those with back problems. ATM’s in area dispense only USD with high fees. No fatal problems.

I didnt like anything, the bed is so dirty and not clean at all

The property does not deserve 5 star it deserve 4 or 3 stars only not more, the facility is so dirty and uncleaned. Value for money 0. Dont get so exited that the bed goes outside the room, the bed is not stable it keeps moving when you move on the other side of the bed during a sleep unbelievable!!!!!

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been to. From arrival till departure, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. The jungle side accommodation is brand new and definitely the best from a pool perspective. Stunning views from the room and delicious cocktails - what more can you ask for?! Will return asap.

Staff and service was 10/10! So friendly and very helpful! The hotel is beautiful and on a top location (outside of the beach area and the city center). Would come back.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The room was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, minimalist elegant architecture with nature being the spotlight. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Ana at the reception, Oscar at the bar/restaurant and Miguel who was always greeted us with a smile on his face. Food at the hotel is also very good with several vegetarian options. We would definitely stay here again.
