It was the most beautifully built treehouse for adults. Truly picturesque and an unbelievable experience

The segrasso was so bad we could not swim in the water at all. The hotel did nothing to try and clean it, by late in the day the smell got pretty bad.

After our 3rd stayed in this beautiful hotel, we were expecting some loyal customer treat. But didn't happen plus we consider it overpriced for what it has to offer, room isn't great distributed, bathroom super small, with little privacy, and it has a smell.Ther are bigger and nicer rooms in hotels near by, for less price and with breakfast included

Huge room, gorgeous property, several nice restaurants. Many spaces for great photos.

We could hear the DJ in our room when we went to bed. Also I left their beach bag by the pool, and they charged me $100 (American) fee for it. I understand charging a fee for something like that, but $100 for simple beach tote that looks like it costs about $20 and they probably order in bulk is extreme.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, especially the spacious bathtub. We loved the beach access, great music from the DJ, and the relaxing pool area with delicious drinks.

Everything was great overall - no complaints

It was nice and tropical ambiance! All employees was kind and always helpful. Room was pretty clean.

If you are looking for tranquility for your vacation not the right place to stay cause it is a beach club. Music is so laud all day . I also did not like for the beach bar adding service charge to your bill automatically even ıf you order bottle of water. This should be an option for the guest.

We didn’t like anything

The staff is not that helpful, we decided to cancel our stay at the first day, so they told us go find your taxi we can’t help you.The rooms sheet is very dirty, the smell in the room was bad as well as at the entrance of the hotel.The sound is very loud at rooms, so we can’t enjoy our stay.The refrigerator wasn’t working when we got the room and there was beeping sound inside room that was very annoying.

Such a unique hotel. The bath tubs are carved out of a single piece of wood. I true Robinson Crusoe experience but with great music the whole time. Thumbs Up!

The place was cute the food was good.

I was very dissappointed in not only the service but the lack of service. The music played all day and into the evening it was super loud. So if you want to relax this is not the place. The pool or grotto shuts down around 5:00/6:00 which was very inconvenient. We had about 12 of us and we all had the same experience. If you want peace,relaxation don't choose this place.

Laud, rowdy music, impossible to relax or unwind

Unfortunately, our stay at Kanan was deeply disappointing. Although the hotel facilities were comfortable, the atmosphere was completely unsuitable for rest and relaxation. The music from the beach bar and the restaurant was extremely loud, continuing until late at night. It wasn’t background music — it was intense, club-style sound that made it impossible to sleep or unwind.To make matters worse, there is a neighboring Beach Bar outside the hotel that also plays very loud music too, so the two places try to outcompete each other with the level of noise. Our room’s terrace faced both sources of noise, creating a chaotic sound clash that was truly unbearable.We had planned to stay for three nights, but after just one night of constant noise and lack of rest, we decided to leave early and move to a different vibe hotel in the bioreserve. This is not what we expected from a supposedly relaxing vacation spot - the hotel should make it clear upfront that that’s the character of the place and quiet relaxation is not an option even if they have a spa.We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace or a calm atmosphere. Kanan is clearly aimed at party-goers and not suitable for guests who value tranquility. We regret choosing this place and would not return.

One of the most disappointing hotel stays we ever had! My husband and I came on our honeymoon expecting a luxurious and relaxing stay. We got the total opposite - obnoxiously loud music from 13-18 pm coming from the beach club on site while our balcony was overseeing it and the windows aren’t sound proof at all. There was additional noise from other clubs/restaurants around. The hotel’s beach club is totally public so you get hackled by locals trying to sell you whatever so you can’t relax there either. We arrived early prior to the 3 pm check in (at 12) and told the staff we would like to get a notice if the room is ready beforehand. We ended up checking in 15 minutes late and then found leftover food from the guests that left. In addition, the room had an unpleasant old wood smell and we disliked the fact that the sink, bathroom and shower aren’t separated from the room at all so no privacy from your partner. When I came down to the reception to complain, one of the workers there named Joel did not want to be understanding nor helpful and told me bluntly that all information about the noisiness at the hotel is public knowledge. Essentially blaming me for a lack of knowledge instead of apologising for the inconvenience. He said we could request at any time a round of drinks on the house. We ordered 3 cocktails in the beach club and during check out when I requested the free round to apply they said NO. The free round was only for beers and some basic cocktails while the ones we drank were mixology or some non sense. Moreover, in the room there is a super basic coffee machine with capsules. The worker said each guest can have one capsule a day not including the day we came and that each extra capsule we use will cost 4 USD! They went on and on about leaving the spreadsheets clean and not having makeup leftover on towels. In my opinion, this place is not worth the money, there is sand everywhere, the team was unpleasant and we will definitely not come back

What a beautiful building right on the beach, right in the heart of Tulams shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and the room was amazing. I could not recommend highly enough

The music at the beach club was way too loud. There seemed to be an argument with the beachclub next door on who can play the strongest bass. We could barely lie at the beach as we were being blasted from all sides.

Located close to everything right in the heart of the strip. Also they lock down all the entrances at night and no entry without the armband.
