    • The service was incredible. They were very communicative and helpful. The property is gorgeous and the location is within walking/biking distance to excellent restaurants, clubs and shops
    • A true slice of heaven! Sana Tulum is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every part of the experience felt thoughtful, memorable, and deeply special. From the very first touchpoint with the concierge before we arrived, and throughout our stay, the staff was consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of architectural design. The food, the comfort, the music, and the intentional layout of the rooms, dining spaces, rooftop, and especially the beachside outdoor sitting and dancing area—all of it felt beautifully curated. The location was also incredible: on a beautiful, safe street with amazing restaurants and charming boutique shops just a short walk away. What a gift. Thank you so much. We will absolutely be back!
    • This hotel is a true eco-luxury boutique gem that perfectly reflects the unique spirit of Tulum. Intimately sized and beautifully designed, it is nestled between the jungle and the sea, blending seamlessly with nature while offering refined comfort and a deeply calming atmosphere. From the moment of arrival, the hotel’s positive energy and tranquil vibe make you feel completely at ease. The beach is pristine and stunning, ideal for long walks, while the jungle surroundings add a sense of privacy, harmony, and connection with nature. Watching the sunrise over the ocean is an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, ideal for disconnecting and fully relaxing. The rooms were exceptional—spacious, beautifully curated, and supremely comfortable, with natural materials, artisanal details, and high-quality finishes. Everything was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, creating a sense of intimacy, authenticity, and refined boutique luxury. Another wonderful aspect is the friendly, open atmosphere of Tulum South Beach. It’s incredibly easy to meet people here—whether during beach walks, at nearby cafés, or over sunset cocktails—which adds a warm and social dimension to the otherwise tranquil experience. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, adding to the sense of personalized boutique hospitality. A special mention goes to the manager, Sonja, who was truly exceptional—kind, attentive, and highly professional, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience throughout the stay. SANA TULUM is perfect for travelers seeking a boutique eco-luxury experience, combining jungle, beach, sustainability, tranquility, and understated elegance in one of Tulum’s most beautiful settings. Highly recommended—I would gladly return.

    Cons -

    • We had a private pool on the rooftop and it was amazing but the common area pool was dead and underwhelming. At the time of our stay there was so much seaweed on the beach it made the beach front property inaccessible
    • can't think of anything...
    • Beach club staff could be nicer. I am a local and live in Tulum. The hotel is offering 20% off on all food and drinks which is really nice. When the check came, I mentioned in to our waiter. He seemed hesitant to apply the discount. He told me “you should’ve told me before, hold on” in a condescending tone. I told you know so, just fix it. It’s just basic customer service.

It was a beautiful property with very professional staff

the location is a little outside of tour pickup point, but rest was great as a lot of great restaurants are nearby.

This hotel was extremely clean. The people was very friendly and accommodating. The only advice I would give is to be careful as sometimes hotel does not include breakfast.

The property was very nice and clean. Everything else was great.

Everything! The staff was so kind, Pablo, Andrés and Joss were excellent hosts. Good vibes, good food, perfect views, perfect location. The best site to rest a lot.

    Mosquitoes season :(

The property is gorgeous! Every space is thoughtfully planned and all sorts of little hidden gardens will delight you.The rooms are stunning and it’s one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed! The staff is top notch and customer service was amazing!

It was seaweed season on the beach- nothing the hotel could do. It was a little far fromOther restaurants/ bars and cabs are pricey. Try the Collectivo buses for a 90% savings .

    The location and facilities

Didn’t know it was a no pork facility, nor did they have any traditional Mexican dishes. So no meat at breakfast

    10JamilaPosted on: 8-20-2025

The location was perfect - a quiet yet accessible spot in the hotel zone. The staff is fantastic and responsive. The rooms were relaxing and tasteful - you immediately decompress when you step into the hotel grounds. Great options to relax on the beach or swim in the infinity pool if you want to get out of your room.

    It was all wonderful.

If you’re looking for a clean, relaxing place to stay then Sana is a no brainer. Everyone we encountered working there was friendly, communicative and helpful. Everything we ate was delicious especially the hummus. Absolutely loved the south Tulum location. We will absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with nice welcoming staff Anda was so nice to us and the manager upgraded to the best suite in the hotel

    Location and clean

Such a beautiful stay. Food and drinks were delicious. The property is very clean and if you have Whatsapp, they are always online to help and respond. The coffee station in the room was missing milk or some creamer and stirrers but when I asked the housekeeping they brought frothed milk! So attentive! They really try, sargassum season is hard on Tulum tourism.

Parking situation is not very clear, but the whole Tulum is difficult for parking.Check-in was confusing. Had my partner waiting in the car while I was being greeted by someone who didn’t seem like a front desk, which was empty when I got there to ask about parking. Wifi wooden QR codes at the front desk are cute and all, but the contrast on the wood wasn’t working for neither my nor my partner’s phones until pointed in different angle/light by the staff, and then we received a judgmental look as we don’t know how to work QR codes. We were taken to the room but we weren’t given any guidance as to where is what, such as the rooftop bar, when they close or that we can eat anywhere, only a link to room service was recommended. We discovered next day there are public restrooms in the hotel and that we didn’t have to go to our room every single time from the beach. No spa, yoga or other services they advertised were recommended, or if the hookahs are decoration only, etc. You’re simply supposed to do a lot of reading via QR codes. I miss old days of printouts and human to human service. We splurged on the oceanview private pool room, but the jets in the jacuzzi weren’t working. Water in the private pool was a bit cold to sit and enjoy, especially in the windy storm that was passing in the evening. Pool lights were out by 11. I reached out and they said the jets and lights are timed/controlled by the maintenance team. I guess it was bedtime. They tried to fix it for about an hour. I am just surprised you can’t control the jets and lights yourself when paying so much for a private plunge pool. Especially since you can’t enjoy ocean in the sargassum season.Half of the snacks were missing and I didn’t want to be charged for those. Those that were there were in paper bags, some didn’t have labels or expiration, it was a surprise what’s inside I guess.

    9DaniellePosted on: 6-25-2025

The service was exceptional, the room was stunning with I had a plunge pool on my patio. The room was very nice and the bathroom had 2 showers, indoor and outdoor.

Not very private. My patio and pool were literally right beside the main walkway. The room was a little small and the overall cost to stay here is a bit high.

I chose to stay at Sana Tulum for three nights—and also proposed to my partner while we were there! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the very beginning, the team went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly special.Even before we arrived, their communication stood out. Nearly two weeks ahead of our trip, the staff engaged with me to understand exactly what I was envisioning and offered thoughtful suggestions to make the proposal even more memorable.Special thanks to Anda, Sofia, Joss, and Jonathan—each of them played a key role, and their coordination as a team made everything seamless. Communication was clear and consistent, which really helped everything run smoothly. The food and drinks were excellent, the rooms were spotless, and the location was ideal—close to all the restaurants and attractions we wanted to explore.Sana Tulum delivered not just a stay, but an experience—one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something truly special.

While the on-site menu was tasty, it felt a bit limited—but the team more than made up for it by actively recommending excellent nearby restaurants, handling our reservations, and even coordinating with the venues to adjust bookings when we needed flexibility.

The staff was extremely attentive, our concierge Sofia was so helpful and had special birthday surprises as well as decorations planned out for us ! Jorge at the beach club was fantastic, recommended the best drinks and gave AMAZING service . Jonathan also went above and beyond bringing birthday deserts helping any time we needed transportation and always wanted to help ! Adna checked us in at the front and gave us a tour of the facility and our room she was honestly so sweet ! Couldn’t have asked for more :)

Putting simply:1. This property is the perfect destination for those who appreciate beauty at a CALM QUITE TIME. 2. Just a beautiful scenery 3. and the STAFF IS JUST FANTASTIC! They deal in a very friendly fashion. ASK FOR SOPHIA, you won’t regret it , trust me!4. This is a very beautifully put together with passion and high quality

Nothing! The place is just Fabulous!

    9AmberynPosted on: 4-23-2025

Everything. Right from the check in with Anda to the check out, we don’t want to leave. Besides it being absolutely aesthetically beautiful, it’s so quiet and away from the party zone, it’s like we had our very own Villa. They upgraded us to a room with a plunge pool, and the water was tepid. The beach is beautiful. The food is tasty. Housekeeping was spectacular and so thorough. We’ve already booked our next two vacations at this place as it is so good.

They run out of beach beds for guests. The Layla restaurant was busy and it almost took about half an hour to get us towels when we eventually did find a beach bed to laze away one after noon. Breakfast is limited, but right

    10MordiPosted on: 4-23-2025

I liked the hotel's design style, the high level of service, quality rooms, and proximity to the ocean.
