- The people who worked at Amansala were amazing! Always friendly and helpful whenever I had questions.
Cons -
- The rooms pretty much all look the same. You can pay a little more for location otherwise there are no differences in the room. I was able to hear when people were walking around and voices outside our room. Air conditioning is only available 8pm to 8am.
- I think it would have been nice to have coffee & breakfast available downstairs each morning. My room was clear on the other side of another property, (it was a ¿sister property,¿ and so I had to walk all the way over just to get coffee. All else was ¿
- I didnt get as much time in the beach as I had hoped. No one told me how bad the seaweed situation was.

Beach location
No air conditioning. Room very hot. Also, no commun from hotel. Multiple emails ignored.
I loved the little spaces below each building at Amansala Chica. The ones that are for the gustes.
I did not like that I payed extra 90 USD for air conditioner and you canÃÂôt even devide when to turn it on. It is only turned on from 10PM to 4AM. I donÃÂôt think itÃÂôs fair and honorable to pay for a better stay and I canÃÂôt even control my AC.
I love Amansala and try to return every year. The staff are amazing and work hard to ensure every guest has a good experience.
Service, Room,nice beach, staff friendly
Better tequila and Mexcal
Food is great and it is a nice location. Nice staff.
Seasonal seaweed blocks the beach, smells bad and water is brown. You can't access the ocean unless you want to walk through ten feet of seaweed.
The property being oceanfront, views, healthy food, staff, activities available. Looking forward to visiting again and using the new gym!
AC unit was hit or miss at night.
beach was nice , people at the breakfast were very kind and helpful Columbian person at the reception was very helpful and so was the bell boy
shower was not clean with spider web and no hand shower
It's all about the vibe; this place is magic. People who work here are so kind...they consider themselves family, so visitors do too. There's a calm here...things get done quietly. Breakfast, barefoot looking at the ocean. Comfy beach lounges. The most luxurious beds imaginable. A glorious beach...
Nothing.I have nothing negative to say.
Beautiful property, but location is both quite far from restaurant center in zone hotelera and far from city centre Tulum.
Bad service. Had to repeat orders several times. Room service food arrived cold. Although the staff tried to be nice and kind, I think they were not properly supported by leaders to do a good job.
The hotel’s location is ideal for those looking to stay directly on Tulum’s stunning beach. The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and always willing to assist whenever any issues arose.
First Impression and ArrivalUpon arriving at the hotel, my first impression was unfortunately below expectations. The room assigned to me was located under the roof, and I was informed at the reception that an additional fee was required to activate the air conditioning at any time—a policy I had never encountered before.Issue with the Initial RoomWhen I entered my room for the first time, I immediately noticed that the bathroom window was wide open. As I attempted to close it, the entire frame detached and fell from the second floor to the ground below. Fortunately, no one was nearby. After reporting the incident to the reception, the staff promptly tried to find me another room despite the hotel being fully booked. Eventually, I was given a new room, which was much more pleasant.Malfunctioning SafeUnfortunately, another issue arose: the safe in my new room was not working. After multiple visits from a maintenance employee, the issue was finally resolved.Theft from the SafeThe following evening, when I returned to my room, I was shocked to discover that the safe was open. An envelope containing US dollars and Mexican pesos had been emptied of the dollars, while the rest remained untouched. Initially, I was unsure if I had mistakenly left the safe open myself. However, the next day, upon returning from the beach in the early evening, I once again found the safe open. This time, the envelope had been clearly opened, and the banknotes were scattered inside. It became evident that someone had accessed the safe twice and taken the US dollars.Hotel Management’s ResponseI immediately reported the issue to the reception and had a meeting with the hotel management. They appeared genuinely concerned about the situation and offered to reimburse me for the stolen amount, which was less than 100 US dollars.
Amazing location. We were in a beachfront room and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly. There was the luxury of a very nice resort, but at the same time a personal touch with great care and attention. Yoga classes absolutely amazing. Darlene’s class was so fun and inspiring. Couldn’t have been a better start to the new year. Thank you!
Felt like I arrived to a friends beach house, great vibes all around. I loved the energy of the place as well as the deck in front of the beach where I would hang out. Loved my room that had a lot of little touches, comfortable bed, lots of closet space to get settled in and the massages were some of the best I ever had.
I loved everything about this property and will definitely return.
wehen booking the inculded breakfast on booking.com it only infludes small bowls of fruit, quinoa & coffee. its not like a buffet. everything elese is 10$ extra (per item). attention: there is airconditioning in the room. they work during the day but will turned of by a master switch during the night. if you want them to be runing during the night they charge you 30$/night
Hotel was nicer than I expected. Comfortable rooms and easy to walk right out to the beach. That's pretty much what you are paying for. The restaurant was very convenient for breakfast each morning. Also like that they had bikes available for guests. Staff was friendly and helpful with getting taxis and other arrangements.
Some of the rooms are close to the studio for yoga and other classes, so you may hear noise in the morning from the instructor or other music. Wasn't a dealbreaker but if you are noise sensitive, definitely ask for a location away from that area.
great food.
beds felt like cement, we paid 2200 for three nights. Tulum is best when you can search hotels that you have to call to book, they are like 95 a night or so.
The pool and beach area is stunning
The aircon only works 9pm-9am otherwise you have to pay $25 extra to have it on in the day and it's hot! There was also a few power cuts on the night we stayed
It was a wonderful friendly vibe everyone was so helpful and it was so beautiful and comfy
That we only stayed one night
